Clean store, friendly staff, plenty of staff on occasions I’ve visited that could assist if needed. Pretty well stocked despite Covid delays. Lines have never been extremely long. If that’s the case they open up another register. Always good parking outside. The store is clean. The frame department was awesome people! Very helpful! Very quick to get orders completed. The prices are decent when using coupons.

Easy to navigate and I was in and out with what I wanted rather quickly.

Nothing on shelves, area at back where frames, pictures hangers are, is unassembled to clients; as it is always filled floor to ceiling with unpacked inventory boxes. Customers are going to get HURT!!!! Given the fact that North Carolina is known for its crafters, this store carry little if anything that is needed. Very disappointed the last two times I have shopped at the Waynesville store for paper craft supplies, I wanted to actually look at ink pad colors, the selection has been shrunk to hardly any choices. Many shelves in that area was empty. I drive 30 minutes to this store, I definitely will not be going back to this location.

Expensive, plenty of craft things. I needed sewing material, yards and yards, all they had was 4 in squares for what ever .I need another 😫 store.

Going to have to give 4 stars out of 5 simply because of their inventory. The associates definitely give it the 4 stars though. I like to go into a business and see people not robots. They lady and the guy who helped me throughout my visit were super helpful and helped me find a brand of brush tip pens of similar quality to the ones I was looking for (which due to their smaller inventory they did not carry).

I love Michael’s but they quit carrying baskets and similar items which is often my reason to visit the store. It’s nice to see a basket’s size person to be sure the size will work. So disappointed especially living in a small town where it’s hard to find these types of things.

The friendly staff are 5 stars all the way. I rated it 4 because for 2 weeks they have been out if stock on the one item I need to finish a project. Surely they have received a truck in the past 2 weeks.

Michaels seemed down in inventory. I couldnt find anything for the baby shower we were doing. Nothing saying, Its a Boy! Or Its a Girl!

Better than Greenville NC

I was in line to purchase something today. The man in front of me had a mask on under his neck and was perusing the merchandise while in line, so he was not facing forward which amplified my concerns. I noticed other customers without masks. Waynesville wants a city mask mandate according to a recent news article. I left as standing in line behind the mask-around-neck guy was not worth the risk. I put what I intended to purchase back.

Large variety and good prices.

One of my favorite places. If you like to make art and crafts projects, if they dont carry it, you probably dont need it.

Not as well stocked or large as city Michaels, but great to have one nearby. (No reflection on this location, but I’ve been unable to connect to their iPhone app for years, even with customer service help).

When we were at the checkout the guy helping us showed me how to find the phone coupon. He was patient and understanding with the best attitude. Everytime we go we are someone is willing to help us with all our needs.

Im giving this michaels a 5 star because #1... Im extremely happy theyre so close to me... #2... very friendly... and 3... they have most everything I need. The only downfall is that their selection is not as good as others. But with it being a small store, theres no way it could.

Its a So So place.It is practically, if not the smallest Michaels that has ever been built.Selections are scarce. No good choices of yarns like Joanns. And the knitting needle selection is horrible.I only go when I need something minor that they will have there. But otherwise its a drive to Asheville for a better selection.

Crate are limited to a few select things. Best to call first if you are looking for something besides basics. Wish we would have.

I Found some great scrapbook materials on sale and the stickers that werent on sale there was a great coupon. Also great mini house project decorations!

The store in Waynesville NC was unwilling to return a $50 item that was given as a birthday present, and will not work. Very poor excuse for customer service, and we will not shop there again.

Have been trying to do my shopping at Waynesville Michaels for a month but have been unable to because theyre ONE scotter is still out of order. I called during the week to check, was told it was fixed, got husband to drive me from Cullowhee over there today just to get inside and find it STILL out of order. Had to leave. Wasted trip...again. very disappointed.6/22/21: Has been 7 months since I posted this comment and they still say the battery for their scooter is on back order. Without the use of a scooter, I am unable to do my shopping. I know Im not the only one who needs supplies. Corporate doesnt seem to care about their customers with mobility issues, guess Ill have to do my shopping elsewhere.

Friendly staff clean organized store!!

My wife and I wanted to have custom shadow box frames made to display our daughters (1) college diploma, cap, tassel and picture walking the stage and (2) her high school (Early College) diploma, AA diploma, AS diploma with her Senior picture. Josey, department manager in framing, was VERY helpful in making our ideas into a reality. She spent a great amount of time with us getting each item in the perfect place, balancing them inside the frame area. After completing the work up, she then showed us a digital picture of how the completed projects would look with the color mat behind it. This absolutely sold us! After ordering and personally putting both frames together, Josey let us know they both were ready to pick up. WOW! It was better than our expectations!! Josey came through better than flying colors!! She spent extra time to make sure these were done to the best of her ability. When we present these to our daughter, who knows nothing about this, she will be ecstatic! We will definitely recommend Josey and Michaels to anyone who wants something special to display those precious memories.

Small art supply dept. They could not cut a mat for me in the picture frame dept. had to wait 10 days for a framer.

I was in town visiting and was excited to visit your location. Its hard to find a variety of them because so little stores sell them. The cashier was very nice. The online coupons really help with savings. I would definitely shop here again when Im in the area. Thanks so much.

This is a store that whether I purchase anything, it is fun just to walk through and look at all the products this store has available. All employees have always been friendly and greet you with a smile. There are plenty of employees ready to help you find what you need. The store is kept neat and clean.

Good selection of crafts and materials. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable regarding a wide range of materials. I had a few unrelated projects I was working on and had a slew of questions about the materials I would be working with and everyone I asked questions to were very polite and took their time to help me, despite the fact that the store was rather busy.

Was pretty much out of model paint and brushes.

Just did a Halloween run at Michaels and they had some really cute stuff... everything 50% off... running low on stuff but still lots of decorative items, hats, lights, wreaths, headstones, skeletons and some Day of the Dead items, paper plates too. There are always coupons on line too... including an additional 20% off everything... at least today. Worth a trip!

Michaels is my go-to for all my painting and chalk/charcoal supplies. They have tons of other things (think of it like a Hobby Lobby!). With this store specifically, its easy to locate, and the floor layout makes sense. They have tons of craft supplies but also a couple aisles dedicated to professionals. Acrylic, oil, and water color alike. Whether youre in kindergarten or Bob Ross they should have what you need.Down side to this store: seems like very few people work there... The lines are long and usually just one register open.

Staff is friendly and willing to help. Store is surprisingly well stocked for the size. Actually prefer it to some of the larger craft stores.

I absolutely love Michaels, its one of my favorite arts and craft stores. They have a great selection of items and materials, however most of the prices are a bit too high. You can find a sketchbook at Michaels for $10, but find the exact same sketchbook by the same brand and everything, at Walmart for $5 or $6. Along with that, they have a poor selection of fabric materials like faux fur, and the closest place to get any sort of faux fur that isnt just a small piece of black fur, is in Asheville. So I do wish Michaels would carry more faux fur and sewing materials other than just yarn and a few pieces of low-quality bland fabric. Otherwise, aside from those two complaints, this store is great. They sell a lot of things you cant find anywhere else, and ALMOST always have the things I need to complete a project.

Went to this location for the first time today and was very disappointed, employees where rude. The store was completely empty of any supplies stuff was everywhere very unorganized and poorly managed

Store was poorly staffed. Only one cashier and when I requested assistance I waited for 10 minutes with no response from anyone else. this makes the third time that Ive been in the store in the past 12 months where I have not been able to get any help to find a product or ask questions regarding a product I was contemplating purchasing.

Good little shop for all kind of fun and hobby things, great for finding presents.
