Best banana split ever! I ordered it in a woman waffle bowl all the way with hit fudge, Pineapple, strawberries. Whip cream, candied wants and cherries. Also ordered chocolate chips to go on top of everything. Amazing! Couldnt even eat half on an empty stomach. My husband loved his regular Banana split and our dog Bear loved his Pup Cup!

We got in the drive through line before they closed at 9 pm. They were short-staffed, but the young lady who waited on us 25 minutes later, was so pleasant, sweet, and cheery. She could have been somewhere else at 9:30 pm on a Friday night, but she took her time us and made us feel special. The ice cream waffle bowls were outstanding, too! We’ll come back here before we leave town to get two more of those.

When we went it was drive-thru only due to covid and because they make everyones waffle cone fresh there was a bit of a wait but it was worth it if you have the time. I have never seen such unique flavors of ice cream, this was definitely an experience I would love to repeat but unfortunately I was only visiting this area and my area does not have Jack the Dipper, unfortunately I dont think the people from my city would wait for them to make fresh hot cones for every customer but in NC it works and is a very special experience. I will definitely be keeping my eye out for Jack the Dipper in future travels.

Even though only the drive thru was open, the staff was awesome and way quicker than I thought it would be..the pumpkin ice cream in the warm, cinnamon waffle cone was AMAZING. And the price was more than fair. Definitely be back!!

Stopped at the drive-through on a whim for a hot fudge sundae. This was my first visit to Jack the Dipper. The young lady asks if I want walnuts, whipped cream and a cherry on it and I say no. Get home and whats on it? Walnuts, whipped cream and a cherry, so now I have to fish all that out of the sundae because I really didnt want them. The sundae itself was fine, a little pricey, but the customer service didnt make much of a first impression on me. Maybe Ill try again sometime, maybe something simpler like a cone. Cant mess that up, right?

I love Jack the Dipper. They do well with their milkshakes and freshly made waffle cones. The only reason I’m not going all 5 stars is because they tend to run out of milk later in the day, so I can’t get a milkshake, but that’s also a testament to how good they are because they have a lot of customers every time I have come by.

Omg!!! 🤤 The absolute best ice cream joint around!!! Actually, the best EVER!!! It’s definitely worth the wait in the long line!!! It’s always busy and understandably why!!! They are super friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that y’all could be a little more generous with your toppings, especially the hot fudge! Other than that, it’s sooooooo yummy!!! 🤤

We went as a family today and the food was just delicious! Everybody loved their flavors, the ice cream was soft and they hand made the waffle cones in any flavor we wanted it was really wonderful we will definitely be back!

Jack the Dipper is always great. Recently it came to my knowledge that milkshakes are available in any ice cream flavor, some better than others. Great place for some ice cream and students get a discount.

Love this place. HOWEVER, tonight I came for ice cream, sat in line for 30+ minutes just to get to the ice cream board and find out you are out of everything except 5 flavors. Superman, rocky road, pistachio, cotton candy and cake batter. I understand its a holiday weekend but yall should have made a board to let us know before sitting there all that time.

The employees are the best. They are well versed in the product and fast. Polite and smiling. Why an average rating ? The inside of the place looks like the setting of a C rated movie. Something was done there, just not decorating type something. There will have to be another reason to go back to Waynesville because this place isnt enough to make us leave home.

I absolutely LOVE THE ICE CREAM! What I disagree with is the help. They only have 1 person working. She is swamped with people between dine in and drive thru. People leave because of shirt staff. They need 2 people at all times. Not sure of her name, but the lady wuth red hair, today and last week, (same lady) was an amazing woman. She is very sweet and polite. PLEASE GET HER SOME HELP! I rarely see the owner or manager. When I do, its last minute!

I used to come as often as possible because of their unique and high quality ice cream, but I was shocked and saddened that the new owner switched to Hersheys, which you can get anywhere and is lower in quality than premium brands at a grocery store. Assuming this was a cost-saving move (I get it as I own a company myself), it is certain to backfire as my friends and I will only return when top quality ice cream returns. I used to rave about Jack the Dipper...was my fave ice cream spot anywhere. They still have great warm waffle cones and friendly staff. Please ditch the corporate vanilla approach and return to being a unique local business with one-of-a-kind, best-of-class products! Pretty please, with whipped cream on top.

Tried Jack the Dipper after living in the area for a few months and hearing nothing but good things about it. Was excellent! We had a mix of everything... waffle cones, shakes and ice cream cups. Everyone loved it!

Very good ice cream, but be prepared to wait. We sat in line behind 4 other cars and it took a solid 30 minutes. We asked if it was always like this and the employee said yes.

It was average ice cream, but the waffle cone made it SO good. Prices are way too much. We had just had ice cream the day before in the touristy town of Bryson City and it was less expensive. One suggestion...the dippers, which were quite nice and hospitable, were dancing around acting goofy while we were trying to relay our order. Have fun, but lets be professional while serving my platinum ice cream cone. :)

I hate to leave bad reviews, but the past few times weve been here the ice cream has been terrible. Not sure what brand their using but, I wish theyd offer something different. Also, my son received a cup of ice cream with a spoon that bent in half. Thats not going to get the job done Jack.
