Oh my goodness, we just had the best, most positive experience with Mia at Magic Beans. As a first time parent it’s been super overwhelming trying to figure out what we will need, but Mia took the time to ask questions, figure out our parameters and recommend items for us to use. We left the store feeling positive and excited, already want to book another consult and come back, maybe just to hang out since everyone was super chill, fun and reassuring. Highly recommend!!

I can’t express how much we love Magic Beans! It has been my go-to place and Mia has been my go-to person for all things baby/toddler gear since we became first time parents a year and a half ago. Mia helped us navigate the overwhelming first stroller purchase with such expertise and ease. She took the time to get to know our family and our lifestyle and we love our stroller. From there all it took was a simple email and Mia had a recommendation for all our needs as our child grew - from a nuna pack and play, convertible car seat to a high chair - Magic Beans was always there to make the next purchase and recommendation easy.We became pregnant with our second during the pandemic. I made a consultation with Mia for a double stroller and I am so grateful. As a pregnant woman with a toddler who can’t wear a mask it made me feel so safe and cared for that Magic Beans was protecting it’s customers by operating in such a safe manner. I never took my toddler anywhere during the pandemic but I felt totally at ease taking him there and letting him explore the store while we looked at strollers. Thank you Magic Beans!

Superb! Wonderful, marvelous, 12/10. Excellent selection of baby items, solid customer service from Dana, and we felt very safe bringing our toddler in even during the pandemic.I suggest reading their website for an overview before you come in. Procedures for booking a consult are clearly shown on the website, and are very logical for Covid safety. To keep a limited capacity (and presumably to ensure staff are treated well), you must book in advance to try out gear like strollers & car seats. You pay a deposit ($25 or $50 depending on time frame), which can be applied to any purchase from the store. That made me feel much better putting my child into the various strollers! Plus, because we had dedicated time I felt welcome to linger and consider before such a big purchase. We ended up buying a stroller on the spot due to the knowledgeable customer service and outstanding products, but I was prepared to spend the $50 deposit on toys and books — they have a great selection of really nice toys! This policy makes perfect sense — if I’m going to use Magic Beans time & expertise, I’m absolutely willing to spend a minimum of $25 in purchases to support the company.Thank you to this small business for keeping your staff and customers safe, and kudos on adapting so well to the “new normal.”I only wish I’d known about this shop BEFORE having a baby! I would 100% have registered here! It would have led to much higher-quality baby stuff, and to less waste because I would have bought better items (and just the ones we needed). Can’t believe how much $$ I have wasted at Amazon & Target. Magic Beans, you have a new lifelong customer.PS - Read between the lines of some of these negative reviews. It’s clear some people write exceptionally petty reviews. I wager a guess that these individuals believe extreme wealth allows them to treat others poorly. Unfortunately that won’t make this world any better, and will certainly not lead anyone to happiness. I wish those individuals to find some joy, kindness and purpose 🙏

Loved Magic Beans! We were fairly familiar with the store as we created our registry with them. Our in store experience was fantastic and we were able to test out a few strollers and narrow down our search. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly- so happy to be supporting a family owned business!

Not at all surprised by the review that mentions Mia as wanting the credit without doing the work. Dayna was a joy during our consultation, and we immediately ordered with her. Went in more recently just to buy some toys and was checked out by Mia. Condescending and horrible. I just asked if a certain item would be back in stock soon, and she said they couldnt possibly be out of them in the rudest manner. Turns out it was in stock online but not in store.

We were here after watching their YouTube reviews on strollers thinking that we would get such an amazing Service and finally get a stroller and car seat from them. When we arrived, the staff was extremely rude to us, constantly treating us like we did not belong here and did not help at all because we did not know we needed to book a paid consultation session. We walked out of the store very disappointed. Guys, save your time and go to some other stores that you know you will be treated nicely as a customer.

We were recommended to schedule a consultation with one of their stroller experts by a few. This is our first baby and first time down the road of parenting. We arrived to the store on time for our appointment and were told by Beth that Mia (who we happily waited three weeks to have a consultation with) was still finishing up her last session. We understood and Beth took over.Beth was awesome, my husband and I could tell the difference between Mia and Beth as Mia stayed with the couple she was working with for another 20 minutes, leaving only 10 minutes for us. It made us as new shoppers/parents feel less important than the other couple.Mia did not come over and introduce herself once during the process, it wasnt until the end where we ended up purchasing small items (We decided not to purchase there due to feeling undervalued, but we had a $50 gift card that we had to purchase to book the appointment). Mia started to cash us out.It just felt that Mia wanted to receive the credit without doing the work. We did send a message to corporate, Mia responded to our email throwing Beth under the bus. It wasnt Beth who made our experience feel undervalued, Beth seemingly saved the day.

Magic Beans is the absolute WORST store. Overpriced and dont care about safety. Their owner Eli Gurock is a HORRIBLE human being who should be shut out of business. He and his team sold me a car seat that doesnt work with my minivan and refused to take it back. I spent over $2000 with Magic Beans, and they could care less -- insulting and gaslighting me about my purchase. They even sent me on a wild goose chase to talk to a male chauvinistic inappropriate person named Bob at Nuna Pipa who couldnt resolve my issue either and refused an exchange. In the pandemic, I consulted multiple CPSTs to resolve my issue and each one had a negative thing to say about Eli and Magic Beans. They put together my stroller and adapter wrong, giving me the wrong pieces and not accommodating. Then instead of doing the exchange had the nerve to tell me not to shop there anymore. Well dont you worry, Ill take my money elsewhere and encourage YOU to do the same!

Penny and Sequoia are the sweetest and just so knowledgeable! We had an appointment on Friday, after they close, and I had A LOT of questions... not only did they answer all my questions and provided a lot of insight on the various products but they never made us feel like we were being an inconvenience. Just so Kind! Thank you ladies!

I love Magic Beans! My husband and I bought our baby stroller and car seat at Magic Beans Wellesley and you dont find really nice stores like this one these days. They spent the time showing us all the features and how to use as well us let us test the stroller outside. You dont get this type of insight when you buy online or at a big department store. Also, they carry the best quality products around.

Very disappointed. We watched videos from magic bean and read their whole website and expected them to have great service and knowledge. But really the salesman just said this is the best and this one is great but did not really seem to listen to what we were asking. It seemed like they needed more help and then he might have been able to spend more time listening to us but overall disappointing.

Wonderful experience...very knowledgeable staff. I came in to purchase a Bugaboo Stroller. I learned all the features and how to use the carriage. They didnt have the color I wanted at the Wellesley store so they shipped it free of charge from the Cambridge store to my NYC apartment. It arrived the next day! While at the store the staff was friendly and told me about different toys and newborn items I was interested in. I highly recommend this store. Excellent customer service!

Where do I even start?First, we bought a beautiful stroller (Joolz Geo2) for a great price during their sidewalk sale. Sequoia and her colleague were gracious (and patient) enough to spend over an hour helping us assembly the stroller and teach us how to take advantage of all the features (they are very well informed!).Afterward, they even followed up with Joolz with a couple questions we had and e-mailed me the next day. And just to go above and beyond, we had left something in the store and they offered to ship it to us so we didn’t have to make the trip down.Magic Beans is a great store- well stocked with every stroller and car seat I ever researched and the customer service is exceptional. There is really something to be said about going to a store and having someone explain the in’s and out’s of a stroller. We will be back. Thank you for all your help!
