Im from New York, so I compared this store to Big lots on steroids. Worth the hour and a half I spent roaming around spending my money. Love this store.

I once worked their and the people that I remember and that still work there are amazing and I found many friendships within that. Jen and Megan are wonderful managers and take any customer complaints on to the best of their ability. I will never forget working there I would always spend my entire paycheck there almost every week lol but I loved it

It seems to me that Renys is Maines version of the Ocean State Job Lot. Quirky fun store with an eclectic selection of snacks & brick-a-brack.

Renys had a great selection of items from clothing & shoes to grocery items and bath towels. Kind of an upscale working-mans store that is fun to poke around just to see the variety of things they carry.

Unique place for shopping you may find different things that are not so common everyday. Prices are very reasonable too.

Have been coming to Maine for years. I can not believe the condition of Renys this year. I walked out with one sweater as there wasnt a lot to choose from. Hoping its just a bump-in-the-road because of current economic times. I really miss the Renys of old.

Very busy when we were there. Couldnt find anyone to let you in the fitting room. But lines moved quickly when we were ready to checkout.

Renys is an interesting store. A throw back to old general stores with modern updates and current products. Its not as large as Walmart, but it had everything in my list, good quality name- brand merchandise, and reasonable prices.

Good selection of a bunch of different types of items.

Not a good experience. Five minutes after walking in, we were being followed by a bunch of different workers, who would stand practically on top of us. We are out of towners, and Im not sure if that made us suspicious to them or something, but its a vacation town with a lot of people passing through. I was looking at sneakers, clothing and camping gear, but put it all back and left after yet another associate was obviously stalking us. Management: Stop harassing your customers.

Fun, family style department type store with fantastic prices as well as interesting finds. Its a must try when in Maine. Products range from clothing to domestic, and almost everything in between.

I am about 50/50 on my review of this store. Some things were pretty good deals, some where really good deals, and then just as much if not more was a little overpriced. It was a neat store. I would say its worth checking out depending upon what you are looking for. 🤷‍♀️

Great department store where you find all sorts of unexpected bargains. Especially good for basic casual mens and womens clothing such as shirts, shorts, sweaters, jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, shoes, hats, socks and much more. Their food and candy selection is quite good including the house brands. Great place to get native Maine food products including honey, maple syrup, preserves, and culinary gifts.

I have often found a wide selection of outdoor and textile-style items. I have enjoyed shopping at this location as I have grown up visiting many of the other locations ie. Ellsworth, Saco, Falmouth, Windham, and others. This is a nice Maine retailer. Most recently I experienced poor phone reception on the end of the store as I was trying to find a specific item and called ahead. The phone was unanswered and remained a static sound for a few minutes. I was eventually able to get through to a worker. Unfortunately, by the time that happened, it was too late (15 minutes before closing.) I will return to this location as necessary, though I would like to see better treatment over the phone. Thanks for their hard work during the pandemic. Best textile retailer in Wells!!

I was disappointed personally. If trying on outdoor work gear is too much work for the staff in that section then it should be closed down. I felt chased from there for trying on vests. I work in construction and the cold weather is coming....My wife and I found a number of bargains in other sectors of the store so it was not a bad trip. I still need a vest though.

Great selection of things in the store! Some of the sales you can get are great! Minus the Sales Tax but Im used to NH where there isnt any. However we still ALWAYS stop here when in Wells. Even my husband doesnt mind shopping with me there! ;)

Renys has always been one of my favorite stores around here, but I just found out they let your dog come in too! Thats perfect for us because we bring our girl on vacation when we come up!
