They have a great product that I am very happy with. The installers were very experienced. They were clean and installed all the windows in my home without an issue.
I have been receiving SPAM phone calls (twice today alone) saying that they have tried to reach me to confirm my appointment to discuss my siding that I “set up” on the 19th and they said that I opened the door and gave them my information, they had my name and number which I NEVER supplied to anyone because I would NEVER open the door to a stranger especially during a pandemic. I came home one day to a flier from them rolled up and stuck in my door knob. I DO NOT know how they got my information but something tells me it was NOT professionally done if not illegal. So sometime in the future we had planned on getting new siding and definitely will NOT be using Midtown Home Improvement and will suggest to anyone that looks for someone to not use them as well.
We had a fence installed with Midtown this August. The quality of the fence is wonderful! We are very pleased with the product. The time frame and customer service were not great though. We met with the representative in May and were told we would fill a spot about 8 or 9 weeks out (End of July). We were also told to expect a call from the office to set things up within two weeks. Three weeks went by and we were told no news is good news. Not very reassuring. After calling the office ourselves the next week we were told they didnt have our job... What?! Then she found it sitting on her desk, but it didnt have a folder. Still confused on that excuse.Long story short, MULTIPLE follow up calls to the office and repeating the same information over and over, our fence was built the last week of August. If the end product were not so nice we would definitely have had issues. The end of August was outside of what was promised originally, but did fit within the time frame the representative said a standard fence was going up if we couldnt make the fill in dates. We very likely will never use Midtown for another job because feeling like your project is not a priority and having to repeat information about the specs of the job repeatedly is not good customer service which is something we definitely value.
We are happy with our windows, no issues with the product at this point. But we rated them a 3 because we were not pleased with the installation crew. They didn’t take the best care of my home during the installation process. We weren’t informed we needed to remove our blinds in advance, and in haste, our blinds were “manhandled” and tossed aside without any care at all and damaged in the process. Wands broken off, my custom blinds do not hang properly, one is completely broken and needs to be replaced. In addition, wall hangings weren’t removed, or were asked to remove and were falling off the wall and damaged my baseboard with a shoddy repair. And done windows weren’t caulked, so some warping from rain seepage. Sales team very professional. The lifetime transferable warranty should in a more official format vs written on the invoice.
Midtown Home Improvements replaced my soffit, fascia and gutters. I was very pleased with the entire process from the bid to the project preparation and the execution. The onsite team was polite and diligent. The work was completed in 2 days. I am very pleased and would recommend Midtown to anyone.
Midtown did a complete remodel of my master bathroom. From project design to completion Midtown did an exceptional job! My bathroom is so beautiful! The installer was an extremely talented craftsman who completed ALL the work, no scheduling of separate workers! Also, every effort was made to protect my home from construction activity. Thank you Midtown, I am a completely satisfied customer.
We had a deck built by Midtown. It was scheduled several weeks out, and the only update we got on scheduling was the day before the contractor showed up to get started. Communication with us once we made the deposit was rather poor. The deck itself was well constructed and looks great. It took longer to construct than we were told, but the work was carefully done. Theyre not cheap, and I would like a business to communicate better with customers about what to expect. I cant rate 5 stars because of poor communication and longer than estimated construction time, but the deck itself is a 5 star product.
I’ve had so many bad experiences thus far being a new home owner and i was so beyond pleased and shocked at how quick and professional Midtown was. I mean i wanted to do before and after pictures but they legit finished before i was able to get up and take them. Great work and great customer service ❤️
Midtown repaired soffit and fascia boards on my two story home. They then wrapped it all with aluminum which will make it maintenance free. My homes appearance is much improved! I highly recommend Midtown Home Improvement services.
They replaced the soffit and facia and it they did a real good job.
Midtown Home Improvements did a great job on our deck. The work was finished two months ahead of schedule and they did quality work. The workers were professional, kept us informed, and did a great clean up job. We were very impressed with the final product.
The team at Midtown was very professional and helped make sure I was completely satisfied with my project. The new roof was put on in just one day and it looks excellent. The Midtown team was quick to respond to a question that I had after the roof was installed, and made the whole process very easy.
There is no right way, to do the wrong thing. They spoke many untruths and the only thing that they did timely, was to get the payment. They played the blame game with one another throughout the entire process. The actual insulation guy was awesome And empathized with the manner by which I was treated. Their reputation precedes them and I wish I had done more homework before signing with them. They have a less than honorable reputation and in my opinion don’t operate with honesty or integrity. I would not recommend them and will never use them again. The end product was good, however, the means by which it was accomplished I found very disturbing. I am a small business owner and in the service business. I have always tried to treat peopleThe way I would like to be treated. I am certain they wouldn’t wanna be treated the way they treated me
We did not know anything about Midtown but we are very glad we choose them for our windows project. The install team did not miss a step, that kept us informed the entire time during the installation. Thier attitude and professionalism was outstanding. The salesman helped choose the right windows for our home. The office personnel called and sent emails regularly with updates. The job was completed on time and done RIGHT. Thank you Midtown.
Tear down and the build of my new kitchen went very well. I am happy with how great my kitchen looks. I have showed my kitchen to all my family and friends. I was treated with care and concern. The results have made me very happy. Thank you.
Midtown did a fantastic job on our new deck! Our old one needed to be replaced in the worst way, and Midtown got the job done. They were pleasant to work with and responsive to all of our inquiries. The results of our new deck were better than we expected - we could not be more thrilled with the finished product!
Two guys came to our house many months ago, during the height of, Covid, to quote a fence. Neither wore masks, even as a courtesy in our home. They stepped right in without us welcoming them which was very off putting since they didn’t have masks, we hadn’t even said hello. They were clearly judging us for considering a fence before installing a deck during our conversation.I tried to make it clear that me and my husband are new homeowners and we did not plan to agree to purchase. We just wanted to know what to expect so we can plan ahead should we use them in the future. Instead their pitch was very push, even on the way out the door. When they came back in from surveying our yard, they came in and LEFT OUR DOOR WIDE OPEN. We have pets and they could have gotten out. It was so inconsiderate. If you don’t do that in your own home don’t do that to a potential customer. By that point I wanted them out. But they were so abrasive that we were stuck another 30minutes.I never followed up to complain, but I got a call today asking about having someone come back out to make an offer (even though I never reached out). I mentioned we were not planning on purchasing any additions for another 1-2years minimum. I added that we had a bad experience and that was additionally why we didn’t proceed with their business. The associate on the line didn’t even acknowledge or inquire about my bad experience. Instead, he said they would call in 6months to check in and see how we felt then…. Obviously, he didn’t listen to a word I said.I will be blocking Midtown’s calls. It’s clear all you want is my money and not to provide a quality service. If we proceed with additions or renovations we will be taking our business elsewhere. Please be better. This is not how you make a sale.
My new vinyl fence looks excellent and exceeds my expectations. Midtown even coordinated with my HOA to get approval before install, which was the part of the process I was dreading the most.If you’re looking for quality and professionalism, Midtown is where you should go. No they’re not the cheapest, but the cheapest would be nowhere near this quality or hassle-free.
We had Midtown replace our old wooden Deck in 2020 - our new Deck is beautiful and we get lots of compliments on it. Top quality materials and anything they or we didnt think was perfect they gladly addressed and corrected.
Very nice people. Professional, courteous.
We had a fence installed. Everyone we worked with from Midtown was very friendly and helpful. Pricing was very fair. They did exceptional work and completed the project in a very timely matter. I would recommend to anyone!
Midtown remodeled our bathroom and we received 5 star service from the remodelers to the management. We had a problem and they worked until it was resolved. We are very happy with the service we received.
Midtown installed a fence in our backyard and we love it! It adds so much to our home and we are now able to let our dog out on his own! The crew was so respectful and attentive. I would recommend Midtown to anyone!
Would not trust Google review score since they pay or offer discounts to leave positive reviews. (Also, yard signs and such.) Check Yelp reviews as well.Very high pressure sales team will come to your house and you will feel as if you are sitting in a time-share presentation for 2-3 hours. I’m sure the products are high quality, but the pricing is extremely high as well. Just beware of what you are getting into and read the other reviews before you sign anything. Buyer beware.
They installed a bathroom in 2014 & we love it. Great work, professional, on time & fairly good price.
Midtown is the best. Had a fence installed. They did an excellent job.after last nights storm. 70mph winds. Our fence is standing. Other self installers are not so lucky
Great experience. Love the new windows. The installer did an excellent job. Would use this company again.
Midtown was easy to work with. I found them to be professional, efficient, friendly and not high pressure. They listened to my ideas and made the bathroom remodel happen in a timely manner. Thier installer was a real artist.
My kitchen remodel was fabulous! I get compliments all the time. I love my cabinets and flooring and layout.
The worker-August- was very professional and did a fantastic job. We are very pleased with this service and company.
Professional, well-built fence. Very good quality as well!
I had a deck (10x10) installed from Midtown at my home. They were very informative and answered all the questions I had. When the deck was being installed, it was installed quickly and effectively. The guys putting it up answered all the questions I had and were helpful with any concerns I had. After the project was completed they cleaned up anf explained all the dos and dont with the new deck.Very helpful and would highly recommend them for any of your projects and and future projects I have.
The roof was replaced years ago. The work was on time, professional, clean, good value.
Midtown came and put in our vinyl fence. They were very professional from the first moment. They made the process super easy and worked with us to meet our budget.
BUYER BEWARE - Their contracts are so one-sided (against homeowner) and unreasonable its laughable. They quoted me for a deck replacement, a bit on the high side, but I was willing to move forward. Then they sent me a copy of the contract to sign, which is basically just a hot mess of language explaining how they have no obligation legally to do anything they promised to do verbally. Its written such that they could sit on their hands for as long as they want, and then if I wanted to cancel after months or a year of them not showing up, they would charge me 20% of the total (in addition to the 10% deposit) for the privilege of doing so. I simply asked that we put some language in the notes of the contract specifying the timeline they would complete work after receiving permits from the city and they just blew me off.
I am very pleased with the windows and the quality BUT VERY disappointed with the way my windows were left. For as much money I spent I did expect the windows and the window sills to be cleaned when the install was complete. I had several windows put in a couple of years ago by a different company and my windows were left beautifully cleaned! Overall, quality appears to be good but customer service is awful; aside from the dirty windows there have been other customer service issues. Funny thing is that the company will never acknowledge or do anything about this post.
Midtown did a wonderful job at replacing our windows, our salesman was zack who we fell in love with, my husband and I are very satisfied with their pricing and employees!!
From time of order to install took a little longer than Id like; however, they stayed in contact with me through out the wait and kept me updated about the situation. The install went very smooth and fast. The installer was very professional and left the place clean like he found it. Overall was a bit on the pricey side but I think it was worth it. Would definitely use again.
Worst home improvement experience I have ever had. And it’s not done yet!!! We had to replace our deck and started shopping in April. Had Daniel Donovan from Midtown Home Improvement on April, 13, lots of words, promises and guaranties, bla-bla-bla. He was good in selling though, so we signed in that pricy but “perfect” project. Well, we didn’t use deck all summer because of safety issues ( reason for replacement), than from the end of July they destroy my back patio space and made a mess and it is still there. We signed for under decking and covered posts as well, but when constructors finally finished top of the deck, they blinded my husband, told him that they’re only doing top, and made him in hurry sign the paper that they were done with their job. When I was back home, I found that all posts and some of the rails they installed that day were scratched!!!! The same day we found, that nobody was going to do the under decking because their deck administrative assistant Carolyn Logan lost the documents about it! My husband spent a few weeks trying to contact those people, he left bunch of messages to Daniel Donovan, Carolyn Logan, Chris Tucker( the senior production manager). Today someone came and “solved” problem - buffed the scratches with acetone!!!!! Now we try to reach Darrin Reagan, and I still hope to have my perfect deck promised by Donovan done this year.
Best deck installation i have seen in a long time.
We had a deck replaced around our pool and it looks great. The installers were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. They were knowledgeable and answered questions and produced a great final product.
Promise one thing and deliver something else. Two examples. 1. Quote for some 9 x 15 deck was 18k based on forever materials. Warranty is 4 or 5 years. claim the excessive costs of pvc outlasts composite and 12 inch centers prevent warping when permit only requires 16 inch centers. 2. We back our products. Showed Kevin 1 foot wide hole from in flooring underneath new tub they installed for 12k less than 3 yrs ago. Constant bug and ant issues. Response dont know what to say. Tried to show him caulking I did on shower rod to control ants. Turned around and Kevin was literally running down hallway to front door! NO OFFER TO WARRANTY WORK! All talk, no quality inspection by midtown. LAST u will see or hear from them is when they take your money!
Window installers were very professional. Had very competitive prices for the window they carry. Sales staff was amazing along with the office staff. Can’t wait to do my siding!!
I am not one to write a bad review. I requested a quote on a fence replacement and was met with two dudes taking pictures of every aspect of my exterior and resulting in 2.5 hours of a sales pitch to replace everything from siding, deck, gutters, etc. The approach was VERY pressured and I will not be hitting them up. If the price was right maybe but it wasnt. Also, they were very proud of their reviews and had a book to show it, I was not impressed. All I wanted was a quick quote.
I had new windows and siding installed. Both projects were done with good quality and the installers were professional.
We had midtown remodel three of our bathrooms. The workmanship was excellent and the end product looks fantastic. We had some unique requirements and midtown worked with us to find a suitable solution. The installers were all courteous and left our house clean every day.
If there was a half star I would be willing to give them a 3.5 but I had just too many problems and cant justify giving a 4. Lets start in September of last year. We just moved into our house. Danny (salesman) stopped by and chatted with me about a deck. He took some measurements and said he would get back to me. Never heard another word from him. Fast forward to May of this year. Danny stopped back by and did a measurement and sat down with us and went over everything. He gave a good salesman presentation and I was willing to give him another chance. The product they use for the deck (Zuri) is a highly recommend product and has great independent reviews online. We signed our contract. I will say one nice thing from midtown is they only require a $100 deposit no matter what the project is. Danny says someone from the office will be contacting us in the next few weeks to start getting things going. A few weeks go by then a month then 2 months go by with not a word from him or the office. He called me one day saying he forgot to get our deposit and I had to remind him we did give him that (I should have got a receipt). He said, O ya you did, my fault. Finally, after 2 months of nothing, I texted him telling him that we could not continue with the deck because of the non-communication from him. He replied with I am actually staying late tonight to turn in your folder. Well, why is he just now turning in our project papers 2 months later?! I called the next day and talked to someone at the office and told them how awful our experience was and we were not going forward. A day later their regional manager gave me a call to apologize and wanted to send a guy out to talk with us to make it all right. Anthony showed up later in the week and was nice and tried to make things better. I will say he was prepared to take all the anger I had towards the company. He listened and apologized and did not make any excuses. He pitched us a new deck concept and helped us redo some things that Danny did not have right. After some back and forth we agreed. He put on the contract that it would be done by labor day. Fast forward to two weeks past labor day I still had no deck. I gave Anthony a shout and he apologized and explained a few things. I am still waiting on some type of compensation for them not holding up their end of the deal. The deck crew showed up Friday (September 26) and started. Now I cant say enough good things about the two guys who built the deck. They were great. They got there mid-morning and worked all day. They finished Wednesday (September 30). I will say the deck is awesome and well worth the money. The deck crew cleaned up and their stuff and put it into the piles in my driveway. Well, today Friday (October 2) and I still cant park in half my garage because they have not come and picked up their trash! I texted Anthony and he said he would talk to the deck manager Chris and I sent pictures and email to Carolyn (office manager) around 2p and never received a response from all 3 of them. The trash should have been picked up the next day after they were done with the project.
Do not let these people come to your house. High pressure sales is all they do. Even after being asked to leave continued to explain why there products are the best. Ask friends and family for recommendations dont use this company that has to canvas constantly and uses high pressure sales.
I had a patio cover installed. Very friendly and professional crew. They worked steadily until the job was done.
Very pushy salesman trying to get you to do multiple jobs, do credit check and sign contract. My wife and I just went to part time at the place we work. So I called to cancel the fence project. Was told I only had 3 days to cancel and since I was past that, they came to the house and said they could knock a couple thousand off the $12,000 fence. Or we would have to pay %20 of the project total to cancel. Seeing as between my wife and I are loosing almost a thousand a month due to lost hours at work, then I tell the guy my roof just started leaking the other day too on top of loosing 16hours a week at work. Then the guy proceeds to try to sell me a roof for $1400!! All throughout this I am telling him we will just pay the cancellation fee and that Im not interested in them doing any work for me and told him he could just leave. This went on for at least twenty minutes before ttge guy finally did leave. If they knock on my door again I will never answer it. And if you like to keep your hard earned money you wont either.
Very professional, easy to work with. We couldnt be happier with our new kitchen.
Midtown did an exceptional job with our white picket fence. They were very fair with their price and the quality of the fence is amazing. They were in and out within 8 hours and cleaned up very well. 10/10
⚠️⚠️We had an estimate done from midtown all they did to propose there work was to show fences with mold on them and without mold. Downed other contractors if there bid was lower because they would do cheaper work. Very unprofessional and would not recommend them. Told my wife what fence she needs not wants!! Very pushy aswell. They offer alot of upfront paper work to blind side you. Buy with caution ⚠️ look over all paper work if your are going to buy
I had a deck added and removed a window to change to a door. The work went smoothly, and I was notified when the weather caused changes in work dates.
High integrity company that stands behind their work.
We are ten years out of our master bath remodel and still love it.
Midtown installed the aluminum soffits and facia on our house. The work was completed on time and on budget. They do excellent work at a fair price.
Ive been waiting to leave a review but Ive been ignored for the past 3 months and Im out of grace. Sorry for the novel here, but I want to provide as much info as possible for anyone to make their own decisions. It has been a mixed bag. We contracted with Midtown to replace our old vinyl siding. The initial meeting went fine and I went ahead and signed the deal and made the deposit. At first, we were receiving fairly frequent emails from an administrator just to keep in touch throughout the winter. As we got closer to when the project was supposed to start, communication went silent. I generally wasnt able to get any responses back. I chalked this up to them being very busy; working for a contractor myself, I understand how it gets. After weeks of no contact, we were considering backing out, but then out of the blue I received a call that the materials would be delivered within a couple days and the crew would get started. The installers did a good job over the next week or so (rain interrupted a couple days) and we were pretty satisfied with the update. There were a couple touchups needed which they showed back up that evening to perform. There were a couple other issues that we brought to the attention of several Midtown employees but have received no real answers. 1) They shut off the power to the A/C from outside of the house and did not turn it back on. I felt stupid for not knowing that was possible and sought no reimbursement for that service call, which we likely needed to do anyway. 2) This may be a non-issue, but the PM didnt know the answer either. Seemingly randomly throughout the new siding, there are (nail) holes in the underside of the siding. It looks like someone had nailed some pieces together then decided to move them to another location, leaving the holes exposed where the nails previously were. This could be normal, but we really didnt have or get an answer. 3) While the new siding is definitely thicker than the old, it doesnt seem to be anywhere near as thick as the sample we were shown. I remember thinking it was a silly amount of thickness. The sample wasnt available on a subsequent visit to check and Im not overly concerned with it, but it seemed a little fishy. 4) While the install crew was on site, our internet was knocked out while they were working on the side of the house where all that wiring comes in. The foreman and I attempted to inspect the area but didnt really know what to look for other than something obvious. After the project was completed, I had AT&T come out to resolve the issue (in fact, he was here the same time the Midtown was picking up the dumpster and asking how we liked the project). AT&T found that a nail or staple had severed the ethernet cable, knocking out our signal, resulting in a $99 charge. Nothing breaking the bank, but it was damage from the project we just dropped a significant amount of money on. Far more than others were quoting, but we liked the product and lifetime warranty aspects. Two different Midtown employees said I should forward the invoice to the office when I received it. I sent it to the administrator we had previously been conversing with via email. She acknowledged it and said she would forward it on. I have since attempted to contact her multiple times as well as the original salesman/manager attached to the project. I have received no responses in 3 months. Not a yes, no, get bent... nothing. Just ignored. I dont know this for sure, but it seemed like a couple layers of subcontracting existed between Midtown and the install crew, so Im not sure if thats part of the lack of resolution or not, but the communication has been extremely poor. Would I recommend them? Maybe with caution. Would I hire them again? Trying not to go Karen, but getting stonewalled for 3 months has really lessened that possibility. A flat out denial of the claim would have been more satisfying. To sum it up, communication was lacking, its a little pricier than others, but the timeline was reasonable & we like the finished look.
I had MidTown install a fence for us and the quality and professionalism of the crew installing it was outstanding. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!
I had them put in a wonderful deck thats very sturdy, highest quality, and very sleek. I enjoyed it so much, they gave me a great deal to refurbish my sliding glass door! They keep you updated every step of the process and no waiting hours on hold to find out delays or materials missing, etc. This company is the best and actively informs you. Which provides such relief compared to other experiences Ive had.
Installed fence. Good service quality installation.
Their bathroom work was second to none. Our installer Kenny was informative and amazing 👏. The whole process was easy and fluid. Would definitely recommend!!!
While I did not use them because I currently dont have any home projects Im wishing to complete at this time, a representative contacted me and discuss options for home improvement and was extremely professional and cordial.
Midtown exemplifies quality, integrity, & customer service. They go above and beyond to meet your home improvement needs.
Midtown installed 2 entry doors and 21 new triple-pane windows in our home. We had estimates from 5 different companies and went with Midtown because of their price, quality product, and commitment to performing quality work. We could not be happier with their work. The team that they assigned to our project were friendly, professional, and completed the job in the timeframe promised. The clean-up they did after the install was also an amazing surprise. Since having this project completed, we immediately saw our electric and gas bills be drastically cut. The draftiness is gone and our house is comfortable during both cold weather and hot. As far as were concerned, Midtown is 5 stars all the way and we will be calling them first for our next home improvement project. Thank you Midtown!
I had Midtown come out for an estimate for a fence. My husband ended up being called into work. The guy who came out was not happy that my husband wasnt there. I assured him I was able to make the decisions and my husband gave me the ok to do so. They told me they would measure, call to reschedule a time and give us the estimate. They called and when I asked for the estimate and they refused to give me an estimate without my husband. They do not communicate well with one another so someone else called later that day, they also refused to give a price without my husband. Seems like a silly policy and I may be wrong but find it hard to believe that if t was just my husband and not me they would refuse to give a price. I get needing both people to sign a contract but to just give an estimate? We will be using another company.
The company replaced our wooden deck with a no maintenance, smaller deck.
Weve used Midtown on three separate occasions. They performed better than specified and exactly when promised.
Salesman rang our bell at 7:30 on a Friday night. Wouldnt leave even after asking him to. When he finally did leave, he walked through ours and neighbors lawns rather than using sidewalks. People who take short cuts rather than doing whats right are not who I want doing my home improvements.
Our old fence had to have been nearly 2 decades old, made of wood, and decaying. It also covered a wider area up on the side of the hill where our property is which didnt make cutting the grass easy. It was an embarrassing eyesore I hated for years because its sheer size made it impossible to keep up with staining it, and the boards were coming off of it the longer it stayed up.We brought the fence in closer by about 8 feet, so now our side yard is HUGE. We also had a custom double wide gate added for easier access for the riding mower and moving big items, like the sectional, in and out of the house when we someday move. Plus its vinyl so maintenance will be so much easier. Midtown Home Improvements did an amazing job and we will hire them again!
Vinyl fence install. Not the cheapest or the most expensive. Salesman throughly explained the process and why their material and installation was superior to others. Hands off process for they did the plot survey and permits. Which was very helpful. Install and finished product looks amazing. My only complaint was the office clerical staff did not provide adequate follow up communication. E.g. return phone calls. However the project mgr and field install staff was friendly and remained in contact
Installment of patio door in my family room was flawless. Very eased with new door.
They did a fantastic job with our fence and Clayton the fencing manager was fantastic!
Midtown provided me quotes for siding and roofing that were 2-4 times higher than other quotes. After gauging my reaction to the initial high price the Midtown estimator begin revising project deliverables in attempts of reducing costs. Their final costs were still much higher than others. Although Midtown may offer a quality product their prices and sales approach clearly told me they werent interested in my project.
I requested a quote today from Midtown Home Improvements for vinyl fencing for my home. Two technicians arrived today at noon, we made introductions, but very quickly they asked where my fiancé was. I told them he was at work, but he and I had already discussed what we want and we could proceed with the measurements/decisions/etc. The technicians insisted that he be here for the quote as well, and insisted that I call to see when he would be home. After calling and hearing my fiancé was still two hours out from being home from work, the technicians immediately stopped measuring and told me he needed to be present in order to show us both the options for the fencing. I explained I could go through the options with them alone and make a decision, but they refused and suggested another time that my fiancé could be present for a “big financial purchase”. These technicians came across as extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I’m not sure what they assumed by me being a woman, but the home is owned and entirely in my name only. I am fully capable of making any financial decisions when it comes to my property. This sexist company will absolutely not earn my business.
The quality of the product and installation was amazing. We love our deck so much. They were responsive with questions and the crew was good. Only area that could have been better would have been better proactive communication on start date and quicker turnaround on material pickup.
I live in wentzville were they are located first thing there workers turned over my 1200 pound smoker, broke paving blocks on my retaining wall busted my Water hose, half dressed worker while building my deck, and not refunding me money for concrete that they couldnt pour..I wouldnt use them for anything else
They offer a quality product BUT their sales technique was incredibly pressured and over priced, bid started at 34k down to 20k just to get us to say yes tonight! Then he made a what I believe is a fake call to his boss to see if they could hold the price for 1day!! I had to get rude after a 2 hour pressure sales pitch to get him to leave then he did not even leave the bid that they agreed to hold for us!
We had a fence installed almost 3 weeks ago. The fence looks nice, but there were some minor flaws with the gates and locks that we addressed with the company the Monday after it was installed, since it was installed on a Saturday. We sent them images of the issues we had and they informed us that they would contact the installers. We gave it another week or so and followed up. This time they told us to give it until the middle of the week. Again, waited about a week before calling, and got the same Ill get ahold of the installers spiel. Its been almost 3 weeks and it doesnt seem like theyre trying very hard to get us a solution.
We just had all of our windows replaced by Midtown. In total we had 8 windows replaced. This was our second time using Midtown. Previously they replaced our living room large picture window. They completed the install in less than 5 hours. The new windows look amazing, no more drafts, and are SO easy to open and close. Highly recommend.
Siding several years ago; attic insulation and soffit more recently. All completed as expected.
I wish I didnt have to give a 1-5 star review since I didnt actually use this company for any work. Im just reviewing based on their sales technique. I refuse to do business with this company. They came to my house maskless during a pandemic, pressured me into scheduling an estimate on a project I told them we werent prepared to pull the trigger on yet, then refused to actually give me the estimate without my husband being there. This is the second time theyve come to my home and done this, and both times they didnt want to talk to me without my husband. HUGE red flag.
Like a previous reviewer stated, buyer beware! Their contracts basically state that they are under no obligation to get the agreed upon work done by any particular date. If you decide to cancel then you have to pay 20% in damages and must also pay for any materials that were ordered. We had contracted them to do our hall bathroom and take down the drywall around our stairs and put in spindles. After changing the initially agreed upon date from dec to feb due to my husband being out of work, they never contacted us when it came time for the work to be done. We get a phone call a month later saying someone will be in contact soon, never got a phone call. They finally called late April to say they were ready--over 2 months after the agreed upon date! Cancelled the project because of lack of communication and unprofessionalism. We just yesterday got our supplies delivered that we had to pay for since we cancelled and they didnt even deliver the vanity. Trying to contact the sales rep and now im getting no response. Please shop around before considering this company. They cannot be trusted.
Professional from top to bottom throughout the entire process. Top quality products at a more than reasonable price. Could not be happier with my experience and look forward to working with Midtown for my next project!
They were actually able to start on the project earlier than proposed date of start. Installation was quick, but several extra trips were required for drywall and paint touch up and the guys returned and completed the job.
Had a sales person come to my house on a Fri. He was very high pressure. He knew I had a short amount of time for him, but didn’t seem to care. He finally wore me down and I agreed to new windows. I put down a deposit based on him telling me I could post date the check, and he would call on Wed, and if I changed my mind he would tear up the check. I called on that Mon to cancel the order. I sent in the signed document saying I cancelled. Oddly enough the check had already been deposited and i was told it would be 4-5 weeks to be reimbursed. 4-5 weeks?? Shady. Was going to potentially use them after I got other estimates, but not now. I’ll be sure to share their sales tactics with others.
Very high sales tacticsFirst warning sign they needed my husband at sales pitchSecond they were at our house three hours!!We wanted cedar to match our upper deck and they showed us the composite (pvc I think). Bad mouth wood the whole time.Third they Gave 4 prices. All way too high for a deck build but the lowest is if you “sign tonight”.ok sorry not happening. We will never sign tonight.Fourth. They say the lowest price sign today is for “open spots” in their schedule they need to fill. Normal scheduling is like 6mo out but sign tonight and we can get you in this spot in may. Believable? With spring rain they even admit the whole schedule will shift.I just will never ever go with such high pressure sales pitch. Ever!! They need to change their strategy. As I told them they sound like a pitch I got from Sears 20 years ago and that is all super outdated.
The sales team from Midtown was very knowledgeable, professional, and upfront about pricing. They were able to substantiate why their pricing was a great value and could speak to the quality of their product. I was routinely kept up to date about the scheduling of my project and was able to plan/prepare for installation. The team that installed my windows were incredibly professional, efficient, and respectful of my property. They completed the project efficiently and left the job site clean. I will definitely be coming back to Midtown Home Improvement for other projects. Highly recommend!
Our journey with Midtown began with a deck replacement and kitchen remodel. We bid them against three other contractors. We found each company sales team uses the same techniques and costs were all within same range. Our decision came down to product, quality and warranties. We didnt know them. This is where we started. The deck install (rebuild) had top notch installers. Those guys ebbed and flowed and focused as they stood 20 feet above ground. Our kitchen was the exact same experience - top notch installers! Each one knew what was needed, walked us through the process, watched out for all the details to ensure pristine installation. Highly recommend.Since this starting point weve hired Midtown to replace windows -even custom sized, odd shaped windows- doors, replaced shower and gut rehab our hall bathroom. Every experience the same. We no longer compete them against anyone. They are our contractor. We get great products at great prices and the installation is always top notch.
Midtown was quick to respond to a request for an appointment. The salesperson they sent out was very knowledgeable and had a lot of experience. He was also quick to respond to any questions we had. Scheduling was terrific providing updates as to when the order was received, processed, complete and ready for install. The install was amazing - longer than I expected but we had some huge windows replaced. They even hit a small snag and had the problem solved in minutes. Pretty great experience overall. Price is a little hard to swallow but we love the product and how it looks along with the efficiency. Would have been nice to have one final cleaning of the windows on the outside after the install to get rid of caulk/suction marks.
Sales pitch pressure to sign tonight. I agree the build looks nice on paper. But $35,000??? Was offered 25000 to sign tonight. Even with the price of lumber going up, that is too expensive for pretty much anyone with sense. They were at the house 2 or 3 hours. Better deal if you sign tonight. No. No one should go all in the first day without consulting with their financial advisor on such an expensive project. I became filled with anxiety and panic when my husband almost handed over a check. I stopped him. Thank God! I got 3 more quotes. They were 35% and 50% LESS, respectively. And they did not bad mouth midtown the way the sales people of midtown bashed other companies. Do your due diligence, when shopping for contractors. The structure of the company is why the prices are so high. You have the owner, ok. There is marketing, which is all the flyers etc. next you have the door-to-door solicitors (which is how we came about the company). Then there are the sales people who show up with pricing and they’re accompanied by the “project manager “ who designs the deck in our case. Should you commit, the next person in the chain is the actual carpenters who will build it. That is a lot of overhead. Someone has to pay all the way up the chain from the owner, to sales and reception, to the carpenter, plus materials. That structure is why their price is at a minimum 25%-35% higher. You’re paying for all those people and marketing. I decided to cut out all the middle men and go straight to the person who will be the person building my deck. They’re highly rated in my neighborhood and work strictly by reputation through networking.
Even though we had to jog their memories once started everything turned out fine especially the fantastic work of David removing and replacing sink faucet and all appliances.
Midtown has some of the best products on the market. They are a great value. A combination of price, service and quality. A company built on integrity, trust, and honesty. I couldnt recommend another home improvement company with better credentials, products or skilled installers. They will do a great job for you.
They installed a maintenance free deck that we are thrilled with. We will use them again for future services.
Second time we have used Midtown for our home improvement projects always satisfied
Love my new fence! Installation was quick and professional. Fence quality is above anything else I’ve looked into. Everyone involved with my project was kind and respectful. The install crew was incredible and demonstrated an unmatched work ethic! Will definitely refer others to Mid-Town.
My wife and I were very pleased with our window project through Midtown Home Improvements. We had 6 original windows replaced by Midtown for what we considered to be a reasonable price. The windows are excellent quality. The installation was fast and efficient. Two workers performed the installation in less than half a day. They were very professional and cleaned everything up afterward. We highly recommend their product and their work.
