Would describe as actually for real authentic Mexican style. Other places have Americanized their food. This is true devious food. Its nice the TV is playing in Spanish. I hope for the best for Las Lajas

All the usual places were packed so we googled Mexican and this came up. If you’re looking for nice date night, not your scene. If you’re looking for GOOD FRESH Mexican food with no frills, this is it!We had a similar place in Olathe, KS we frequented.So, yes, the one review is correct that there are menus in Spanish and those don’t give the prices and such, however, if you go in they give you a menu with both English and Spanish. The prices are clearly on there. This is an AUTHENTIC Mexican joint next to the authentic Mexican store.I had the steak taco salad and hubs had chicken taco salad. All the freshest ingredients and a solid portion of meat, beans, cheese dip, and all the extras. The salsa and chips were amazing. They give you 3 varieties.We will return. No prices were on either English or Spanish Menu. So I just simply asked What are you known for? They had been open a couple of months.$14.95 later, I felt a little taken. Lesson learned and probably wont go back. So if you have read this far and stop, I understand.When reviewing a restaurant, I always take things into consideration, language is one of them. I dont take off for language issues or issues I have personally dealing with language barrier. 1 star is taken off for the fact there were no prices on the menu.I took another star off due to the meal I received. Meat was not tender at all and super salty. Not for me.So lets talk about the positives, hate dewndling on the negative. They do receive a star for clean restroom. Great job.Another star was earned for clean tables and floors. The third star is given for the lovely atmosphere and religious decor.So in conclusion, 3 out of 5. Clean location, clean restrooms and a pleasant atmosphere with a pleasing looking full dish of food. Tough meat being overly salty and no prices on the menu are a huge draw back.

I was looking for a home made salsa and not the bottle ones and my daughter recommend me this Las Lajas Mexican store in Wentzville, and went Saturday and purchase a red and green home made salsa and the same Saturday i was out of does salsas had to come back early on Sunday morning at 9 am to get me another set of salsas..Thank you Las Lajas. You save me from making my own salsas. I was to busy that didnt had the time to make them.Flavor is wonderful and the container of salsa is a lot and cheap too! Coming back for more.

This place may not look like big but the food is bursting with authentic Mexican food. The keep up the great service and quality food they will need a bigger place!

Crazy expensive for a quick bite.2 tacos, side of rice and bottle soda was over $11.Food was very good, but I cant afford the prices vs other restaurants

Have used Target drive up, in store pick up, online and in store shopping. Never received anything but great service, professional attitudes and it is obvious things are being done during this pandemic to provide a safe atmosphere for the customers.

My wife sends me in there..I have a list I give them..cant spell it or pronounce it..I give list..they give me a bag.

Great service from the butcher department. Asked for a sirloin cut 3.5 inches thick and they did it perfectly! And yes I know its a huge steak, almost an hour on the grill for med rare, another epic steak-thanks fellas

Friendly staff, fresh produce. We like stopping by the deli for freshly cut lunch meat sliced the way I like it.

All the tacos are amazing and I love their green sauce for the tacos, its so spicy and amazing!!! the lime ice in the front cooler is perfect for dessert, definitely need to try them all 😁✌

Wonderul people. Friendly and helpful. Great food. Fresh produce and pan dulce. Huge variety for a small market. They even carry Central American frijoles Rojas. I shop here every week and visit Christina (la jefa)! She makes me smile and even though I am a gringa; she is patient with my limited Spanish vocabulary!

I love this place, there I find all the Latin products and very fair prices. The food is delicious and everything is very clean. They serve us very well. Its owners make us feel like family. I recommend this place to everyone.
