Went here not knowing why to buy but I wanted to buy something. I ended up with a little battery operated engine car that I used to love as a kid on the other side of the world. I loved it and missed it so much I bought three!

This place is awesome! They have everything you need and Keith was super helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Plus, he had great customer service skills! Im just getting back into RC cars after a long break, and his patience and tips were greatly appreciated. Chris is another great employee there with the same helpful skillset. Way to go team!

Stopped in there today for the very 1st time and I will say I will definitely be back. It was a really cool store for all ages. The employees were very helpful explaining things to me if I had questions. I had my 2 yr old with me and she absolutely loved it as well!

Hobby shops are the best. Unlike online you can pick it up and hold it in your hands and look at it.

My boyfriend loves models so he is like a kid in a candy store here. But I am also crafty and can always find something for myself as well. I was definitely impressed by the staff, they are happy to help and are great at conversation. I will absolutely come back here.

Employees go above and beyond to help find you the exact product thats best for your wants and needs. They never felt like salesman but people who want to help people in their hobby communities. Big selection of major snd some minor rc brands. Traxxas, arma, kyoshos, etc. Lots of parts and helpful tech services. Ready to run kits from 50 1/28 scale to 600 1/8 scale. You can go here and enjoy the rc hobby right after you leave.

The people were very nice and very knowledgeable about what they have in the store. It was a very refreshing to experience for me when compared to other stores like it.

A young guy behind the counter was rude and didnt want to help find a part for me. The rest of the time I was browsing it looked like he was trying as hard as he could to avoid doing any work or helping anybody. This was on Monday 7/19

They partly fixed my rc truck that started on fire like 5 years ago but I still have grinding in the gears and they didnt fix my other trucks steering though.

Excellent place. Very cool place to visit. They have tons of different RC cars, planes, boats and so much more to look at and buy. They offer spectacular repair service on different RC vehicles. I brought 2 of RC cars in to be fixed. Their associate Nate, helped me. He was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time on my two cars. If you are looking for RC repair, go here and ask for Nate. Good customer service but never have what I need in stock

It was not what I expected, but having never been to a hobby town before, it was an eye opener. Mostly RC stuff, with just a bit of model railroad, plastic car and tabletop strategy. A few other areas of interest as well, but I went for hobby supplies, and didnt find everything that I was looking for. Very glad that this store exists and it was a fun visit, just it wasnt geared towards my interests.

Great group of guys that are helpful but hobbytown in general is exceptionally mismanaged and their part ordering system is probably one of the worst in the industry. I made the mistake of ordering a simple part from them a few months ago. I was told it would be a few days, it never shipped, I never received an update.

Took my rc car their to get fixed. Was told 3 days to make the repair. I called back every Friday for 8 week inquiring about the repair. Was told multiple times they’re working on it, it’ll get fixed next, it’s next on the list. This went on for 8 weeks before I went in to the store only to have the store owner call me a liar and tell me “well other guys have waited even longer”. Took my unfixed car and left. Completely incompetent organization.

Very Helpful, lay-a-way nice. These people are extremely knowledgeable extremely friendly and extremely helpful. You can tell when somebodys into what theyre selling. If there was 10 Stars they would get it.

It is so much bigger than it used to be. They have really good prices onmodel train track,drone rotors,small electronics,model cars,performance RC,odd little toys for kids of all ages.Need paint for a model, they have it.They even sell wooden toy sets for little kids. I learned more in a 20 minute conversation than I have in 6 months of internet searching just talking to one member of the staff.If you are looking, they have it and you can always call in advance.

This place is so cool for anyone. They have stuff for all ages, from kids to adults that are still kids at heart. Very friendly staff who answered all my questions. Cant wait to go back

I was looking for a mini crawler and had a poor experience at a local RC shop in Madison, WI so I decided to make the trip to HobbyTown USA in West Allis. Their sales associates were much more knowledgeable. They also had better pricing and selection which was awesome. The folks here recommended the SCX24 due to its tenured nature in the class, capabilities, aftermarket support and overall customer feedback. They spent time going over 4 different options in this class and weighing the plus/minus of each. I looked at the Mini Z, Carisma, SCX24 and the Element Enduro. I recommend taking the trip to West Allis for a better experience.Great job guys!

This place has all of our favorite things - RC cars, Tamiya Mini4WD, slot cars, trains, and more cool things we will need to explore. Friendly staff, great prices - definitely worth a visit!

Bought my first actual hobby rc today (Traxxas Rustler vxl 4x4) not sure how much of a hobby rc but for me there are plenty of option upgrades. Staff was awesome Tom has a grate sense of humor and staff wasnt pushy. I got a chance to look around and found what I wanted with no pressure. Cody was very helpful as well. Update: added green arms and big boar shocks!!!

My family loves this place and we spend a lot of money weekly here! My husband and son like it best. Its like a home away from home to them! Its also a great bonding experience with your kids. You can buy models, remote control devices, arts and crafts, paints, and games you can put together. Its a lot of fun and this place is a great way for my hubby and I to spend time with the kids and get them to turn off the electronics for a while! Lol!

Its a neat store. It has great games and craft kits, an enormous amount of models to build, rc cars etc. Its a little random but fun. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was crowded but clean. I didnt spend a lot of time here because I was looking for something they didnt have, but they did try to point me in the right direction to find what I was looking for.

I had to stop in here this past weekend after my kids and I broke 2 different Traxxas RC cars. Im a complete novice when it comes to RC cars, yet my kids are really getting into it. While it was extremely busy when I walked in, they did their best dealing with me. At the end, they had me leaving with one of the cars repaired, and the parts I needed to repair the other one myself. I appreciated the passion and knowledge they had for their craft!

Awesome place. Very high tech RC cars. Staff is very helpful with any questions or concerns you have with RC cars. They help you find what you are looking for if you cant find it. Staff is also very nice and welcoming.

Like always unmatched selection but so so so so so so pricey.

The staff does not meet you with a greeting or are interested in helping you. The only time I was greeted there was by an older gentleman and by a younger guy, otherwise the rest of the staff were not inviting or interested in helping with information with the product they carry.Prior to the day I am writing this review I was there with my nephew and he had a drone that he lost the charger to. I ask the guy over by the rc counter and they didnt seem to want to help us. Then asked aske them about the drines they have but they did not seem like they wanted to answer my question. We were the only people in the store at the time.Today I was browsing the Funko Pops I ran across a chase Pop sitting on the shelf. I took it up to the register to ring it out. The cashier took it to the back and came back and said it was not for sale.I asked for the manager and he came up. I asked why it was not for sale. He excuse was that it was behind the counter and was put out by a new employee. It was not suppose to be for sale. He said that the employee put it out thinking he was doing the right thing. I then asked if it would be for sale some where else. He said that he would sale it for $30 because the Pop goes for a little more then that.I really dont give out reviews but this was not the right thing to do.First of all if it was not for sale it should not be on the retail floor. I found it where all the other Funko Pop were, which was not behind the counter. Any other retail store would owned up to their mistake and allowed the customer to purchase the product at retail price.Secondly the manager/owner said he would sale it for $30, which is resale value. This make me think that he would cheat his customers because we would never see a chase Pop for retail at his store. The reason why it is called a chase Pop is because for retail this is a limited variation of that Pop that has more value. He was looking to make a profit on something that be should have been retail at his retail store.It is his store and his lost of my patronage to it.

Amazing service, I came here almost daily with my RC because Im a dumb and cant drive. They always offer me what is best for the RC, they offer to do the repairs. They have a big inventory of RC Cars, Boats, Planes, Trains and more. Service is always good. It gets busy in there but they are always happy to take care of you! Will totally continue coming here!

Very rude, we know more then you attitude. Walked in to get a specific part that wasnt going to be used for what it was ment for. Everyone their seemed confused and were quick to point out with all their knowledge weve never seen that done before so its not right. Be prepared to wait in line to check out even with a soda!

The stores and websites are very disconnected reading stock that is in online but not in at store locations it says its at on the webpage. Not totally this stores fault. Aside from supply issues and being giving some faulty info because their supply chain isnt the best I find the folks very friendly and knowledgeable.

Me and my kids love this place. So many fun projects to do. Plus they have great family events several days a week.

Whenever I come to Milwaukee, I always detour west to this hobby shop. The best selection of RC and model kits around. Paint selection is top notch.

Terrible customer service, very rude staff. I bought a truck I needed a repair i waited for almost two and half months to get the parts that I needed everytime I called I was put on hold and was answered by a rude manager. Called again they told me the parts were finally released from Utah and that my truck would done next week since they don’t do repairs on the weekend and it’s Tuesday today I called and it’s not done like they promised. This staff is very unprofessional and they make a lot of excuses. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for a issue

This is one of the best local Hobby Shops in Wisconsin. Tony is extremely knowledgeable along with his great staff. I have purchased all my RC Cars here and they do a great job supporting them with parts when I crash them doing 60mph into a brick wall.The Store is always nice, clean and organized which you dont always find with Hobby Shops around here.If you are looking to get into RC this is the place to come.

Its a shame that there arent more hobby shops around anymore. The digital age has all but eliminated them. Kids are more interested with whatever they can find on their handheld devices (i.e. cellphones), or sitting inside for hours staring at images generated by expensive gaming consoles, then they are building model airplanes, realistic doll houses, or learning to rewire RC cars/airplanes. What a shame; because stores like this particular Hobby Town USA still carry endless treasures that often require little more than time, paint, and a little imagination. This particular store is loaded with everything a hobbyist needs to make the most of the very little free time people have. Even if youre not sure what type of hobby may interest you, stop in and walk around for an hour. Friendly employees are sure to help you find something that may help you pass the time, and should your internet service ever crash, you may even thank me.

Huge selection of anything hobby related. Ive never seen a bigger selection of model kits. The staff was prompt and extremely friendly. Prices are better if not the same as online.

Happy to give my money to them over Amazon. Diane and her son Tony are fantastic! Keith and Cody the tech guys are awesome. Always willing to help you. Although I try to go in during the week when its a little on the slow side.They have a great selection of RC!! Cars, planes, boats, drones and everything else that you can think of. Theyre priced fairly. Tony is very knowledgeable with all things RC. Cars is their specialty. One thing I like about Tony is he wont up-sell you on things you dont need. Thats hard to find these days.A shout out to Keith who was very nice and treated me well the first time I showed up through the doors. First impressions are lasting. Its important that your employees treat the customers coming through the door with respect. And they certainly did that. Ill be returning back to this HobbyTown!A job well done!

By far the best hobby store I have ever been too. The staff are all EXTREMELY helpful and patient with you. I am newer to Battery powered RC and the owner took a long time with me to explain the differences in vehicles W/ the pros and cons. There was even a line behind me and told me not to be rushed as we all had to be patient and wait for one another. Again, I cant thank them enough for their help. When I pictured a hobby town i figured it was just another chain hobby store. This is NOT that, they treat everyone equal and are willing to teach you a thing or two if you have a minute to listen. Thank you again! I will be a long time customer to this store.
