I am very pleased with all aspects of the service that I received from A1 Garage Door Service. The customer service provider that took my initial call was courteous and caring and Jed did a wonderful job with customer service, too. He clearly communicated the issues, provided numerous options for service and was honest about what needed to be replaced and what was still working in great shape. I highly recommend Jed as a technician and the company for service!

Brandon was outstanding. He fixed my problem and suggested some other things for me to consider. I ended up getting a new garage door opener which is much better than the one I had. Tony did a thorough job at my residence. In an attempt to keep costs reasonable, he made valid suggestions as to how to prioritize what needed to be done vs. extras we didnt need at this point in time. He spent the time needed to get things fixed up for us without making me feel he wanted to rush off. He also helped with a couple of minor things like replacing a new battery in our code pad and a light bulb in our garage opener that I couldnt get to. Were up and running again! I would recommend.

The Installer, Jimmy, was extremely punctual, professional and courteous! He explained to me the whole installation process and told me it would be about 2-3 hrs and he completed the job in just over 2 hours. All debris was cleaned up and removed. He took the time to explain all the features of the door opener and demonstrated the operation to me, he even explained I should save the box for the opener in case of needed replacement as the vendor would like potential returns back in the original box! Very Professional and less than 12 hrs in I must say I am very pleased with Jimmy and A1!! Would highly recommend them!!!

Jed was amazing! Sized up our needs for replacement opener, springs and rollers. Price was very reasonable and there was an online special which covered the installation cost. Most pleased that A-1 was able to fix our garage door on the day I called. Steven the technician did a good job of showing me various worn and potentially dangerous parts of the garage door mechanisms. The price was higher than expected but got A-1 discounts found in the local paper or mailers. I worked with A-1 at another property. The techs have been friendly, competent and very willing to explain their work.

Jed was fantastic, showing up ahead of schedule on our emergency call on a Sunday afternoon to fix our broken garage door. We’d had no prior service with A1. One of the springs on our garage door broke. We called Monday and asked for a appointment Tuesday. Our window was from 1pm to 6pm. Our tech Brandon arrived early. He explained every step and suggested a few things. Everything he said made sense. We ended up spending a bit more then we wanted but feel it was money well spent. A1 Garage stepped up and did an outstanding job for us. We needed a new garage door installed. It turned out to be a last minute job with a tight deadline. They got the job done and were great to have at our home.

TOO EXPENSIVE!! Had I had another choice I wouldn’t have gone through it but I needed my door fixed ASAP! They were working for about 30 mins got the job done. I wouldn’t reccommend them. Their prices are outrageous.

I was told a few years ago by a different company I needed a new door, which is true. They told me that my garage door was too heavy and that it couldn’t be connected to the garage door lifer. So they unhooked it and that’s how it remained for years because I couldn’t afford a new door. I called A1 Garage Door Service on 8/19 and they got someone out the next day. Which I came to learn, that’s next to impossible and the garage door service world. A guy named Jed was the tech. He repaired my old heavy door that had fell down the night before. He also connected the door back to the lift. It works perfectly. I’d like to send a shout out to JED…THANKS YOUNG BROTHER!

Very fast service. Cable broke late Friday afternoon, A1 sent a technician out at 8:00 the very next day on a weekend. Jed was courteous and knowledgeable. He was able to arrive earlier than my scheduled time, which is what I had hoped for, and called me to let me know that he would arrive in 10 minutes. Not only was he professional, organized and knowledgeable, he was very friendly and nice. (He also wore a mask which I appreciated). He explained all of my options to me, and patiently answered all of my questions. We both agreed on what would be the best option for me. He told me what he was going to do and how long it would take. When the work was completed, he let me open and close the garage door and it worked perfectly. Greg explained all of the services he would be performing to replace our broken lift springs. I was somewhat put off by the negative comments about work that was previously done. Which was all done by people that specialize in garage doors and openers. The door is functioning correctly, quietly and smoothly. I was surprised with the need to replace items that were not specifically related to the spring issue.

This company had no time for 3 days but made room for me. My truck was trapped in garage behind a broken spring. Robert arrived at 4:15 and was very professional from start to finish. He had the door fixed in about 90 minutes with two new springs. All work was top quality and well done. Nothing but the highest rating for Robert and A1 garage door. It was broken in the morning and repaired the same day. WOW!!!

I will never use this company again. I received a coupon clipper coupon for a garage door opener installation $329 installed. I mentioned this when I made the appointment, and that I also would like a tune up on my door. The tech arrived and I told him again about the coupon. I also mentioned about needing the door tuned up. He had me sign a screen on a pad. He said it was to complete the work as just discussed. He completes the work and is showing me the features of my new opener. Seemed like a lot of hi tech features for what I thought was a reasonable priced opener. When he gave me the total I almost choked! $1100!!! Wait, what?? I said what about the coupon? “Oh, I took $330 off.” The $1100 is WITH $330 off?!? Well obviously at this point I have no choice but to pay the bill. He leaves and I realize I didn’t receive a copy of an invoice. So I ask 3 times from the company for an invoice. Well, no wonder they don’t go over any of the costs. So many “hidden” little costs. I say hidden because they were never revealed to me until after. Labor was $500! He was here 1.5 hours. So this industry charges $300 an hour?? $25 trip charge. Yep, says even if you complete the work they charge that. I tried looking up a cost on the opener they installed, but can’t find any information on that model. I find that odd. Oh, and the remote for the opener? That’s an additional $65. And the little surge protector he put in $30. And lastly $42 for “shop” supplies. As if this isn’t bad enough, I STILL have to BUY and INSTALL a keypad for outside the door! What a joke. I have used a competitor in the past with zero issues. I guess hard lesson learned. I will be calling the competitor now for anything in the future. I am not sure how this company has such high reviews.

Had good experience in past for repair. So ordered new doors.Poor service and responsiveness. Ordered 3 garage doors in June. Not received anything in 3+ months on their own. You have to follow up. They promised August end for delivery. After multiple follow ups they postponed it by month. Home is painted recently so old garage doors won’t look good. Unless you call, wait for 20-30 mins and new door install dept seem to have no clue on material availability. I understand material shortage issues. But No regular updates on install date. Overall most of them act like very large MNC. Disappointed.hope they improve ASAP as otherwise this is a good company

Got a great price on our garage doors. Our installer, was very friendly. He explained the dos and donts of new garage doors and got here when he said he would. Super nice guy! Unfortunately after we took a good look at the doors after install, we saw a pretty good sized gap letting light in on one, and found a nice ding in the other. We called the company to have a tech come out to readjust the doors and hopefully wont have to replace the panel with the ding in the frame of it. Other than that, the doors look fantastic! So glad we called A1 Garage Doors! I suggest they have a technician located in each city they service and have 2 people, not one, to do the installs. At least, that way, one could double check the others work.
