First experience was on Record Store Day, and let me say right off the bat I cant wait to go back. On top of a huge selection (used, new, exclusive, you name it, they got it) for all your music needs, the staff is a delight to talk to and are incredibly knowledgeable and more than willing to help you with any questions you have. Plenty of parking nearby and a local business that I am very proud and happy to support, a must visit for any music lover.

Really nice staff and really good selection of metal albums. Prices are awesome just wished the metal cds were organized like the lps with new and used separated.

There are some great gems to be found in the used section and are in super great condition as well as priced perfectly. The new section is just ridiculous. 7 s range from 10 to 25 dollars. LPs average at 29.99. Crazy markups. For example The Bruisers singles collection which could be bought retail from Taang records webstore for $21 selling at Looney for $30.99. Smiths reissues priced at 29.99. Bauhaus reissue 24.99. So again I will buy from them but have to be selective

I went in to sell my record collection as I hadn’t listened to any of my records in over a year (and my record player broke anyway). I wasn’t looking or expecting to “make a killing”…I never collected records, I bought them to listen to. I just wanted to pass along for others to enjoy. Sorry, I don’t know his name, but the employee with the long beard helped me, even getting my heavy basket of records out from my car for me. He went through each record and ultimately offered me a very fair sum for all. The staff is very friendly here and I’ve always loved going to Looney Tunes to record shop (my dog loved it too). They also have great music/entertainment trinkets, posters, and other odds and ends. I had also covered a couple of signings there when I had my music magazine and they were always very accommodating. True audiophiles and knowledgeable with everything from Kanye to Korn.

As a teenage girl, buying vinyls or cds is usually not a super fun activity for me because of the feeling that I’m being judged- for example, customers and staff at previous record stores I’ve visited have asked me to “name 5 songs” or have even had a particularly immature staff member member call me a “poser” at checkout. Looney Tunes, however, had very kind staff and a welcoming atmosphere where I felt super comfortable. Would recommend to any music lovers!

He went in to try to find a song that my husband dared us to find and the gentleman behind the counter came around went through a 100 albums and absolutely did everything he could. Found the album and made my husband a happy man.. Excellent customer service any really great prices

Im just glad to go to a record store! I remember when the store burnt down... I was bummed. But Im glad they rebuilt and kept the place open. Always good to go there see everyone and pick something up.

A great visit for collectors (and music-lovers in general). Well-kept and clean (unlike the stereotype of dusty, off-smelling stores, though the aesthetic can be nice). A wide-range of music memorabilia including vinyl, CDs, mugs, shirts, and even puzzles! I got an LP I was thinking about getting and a mystery bag of vinyl. The cashier was super nice. The cashier and I actually liked the same band that was on my mask (Ween, mang!) and gave me a “bonus card” toward a free CD/LP/or credit. I have to go again soon. Looney Tunes is great!!!

For Long Islanders or visitors, this is simply the place to go.

What a fantastic shop! I could get lost in there for hours just going through all the vinyl. And they always put on awesome events with awesome artists. I hope to get to another event soon!

A sweet shop tucked off to the side of a larger shopping center. I come here every now and then to peruse new arrivals, as well as to flip through the hundreds of old records and CDs. everything is great quality, and the prices are fair. I would definitely recommend their mystery vinyl/CD packs! its a fun way to find music you may not be familiar with, and theres almost always going to be at least one that youll know. shop staff is made up of some fun, kind people. definitely stop and pay a visit!!

Ive been going to the place for years and Im glad that its still standing. They also have a action figure shop next door thats really cool too. Carl Jr, is really nice. They even sell local vendor products. (Below is one of my favorites from nybeardco)

The staff was cool! Helped me find a doors vinyl that was used & it was in perfect condition ! Also some outstanding brand new vinyls everywhere worth flipping through everything ! I cant imagine you walking through these doors and leaving empty handed

Looney Tunes has been a staple in my life for years. Have seen it go from vinyl to cassettes and cd’s and now back to vinyl. Not since the early cd days has the place been busier. Love the staff. Great family operated business who are very knowledgeable. They have a large selection of new and used records and cd’s as well. They also sell incense jewelry games posters turntables speakers and much more. MY FAVORITE RECORD STORE. Prices are responsible, not the cheapest around but not the most expensive.

Ordered 3 lps. Was charged $20 for media mail. The box weighed less then 4lps which cost under $5 to ship. After several emails was refunded $8 and told to never order from them again. Karl was beyond rude and offensive claiming it cost them $7 in labor to apply the one piece of tape that was on the 50 cent box used to mail the records. Thank you for ripping me off. You dont have to worry about me never ordering from you again. Ill make sure others know to do the same.

Great place to know. Big selection of new and used vinyl, like wise for CDs. They carry cleaning products for your audio media all the way to having live bands on special occasions. Very friendly and helpful staff. If they dont have it, they will get it and then let you know when its there. Great place to just browse if youd like. Time flies when youre having fun.

Awesome family record store with a real history and legacy. They put 3 other chain record stores out of business back in the 90s. My only criticism is that the tattooed guy with the big beard behind the counter needs to lighten up and be more courteous. and it would be cool if they carried cassettes!

This store has an amazing selection of old and new vinyl, as well as CDs, at unbeatable prices. Lots of old vinyl classic rock, but also a nice selection of blues and jazz. The staff are there because they know music and live it. It feels like record stores used to feel. I will drive here and walk around rather than go online to buy my music, because I never know what Ill find on the way to what I was setting out to buy in the first place.

If they aint got IT theyll try and find it and order for you!when I go there I always give myself more time than I need and I always leave with some unexpected treasures! They also give out the Looney tunes bonus card when youve purchased 20 new items you get a free CD! Good place, also has some clothing and other music oriented items, but music is their mainstay! Cool place. Used vinyls are priced well. Employees gave off a chill stoner uncle vibe. Even if you arent into records they have some band merch.

A great CD, LP, and used recordings store that has T shirts and music collectables, and sometimes live music. A place that has been around for decades that has never lost its magic.

Ive been shopping there for nearly 4 decades, but not as much as when I was a teenager. Looney Tunes never disappointed me, and didnt this time. I found several gems in the used vinyl section, and at good prices. The great memories that I had at Cut Corners and Looney Tunes as a teenager, I can now share with my teenage son.

Had a great time at one of their in-store acoustic shows. Staff was friendly and very helpful and they had some very cool items available

Ive been coming to Looney Tunes since early 2007. It was the birthplace of my love for vinyl and live music. I can still remember the morning of the fire, devastated that a piece of music history had ceased to exist. But, here we are, almost eight years later, and I get to spend the start of my 21st birthday at my fifth Record Store Day. After many awesome in store performances, countless amazing music suggestions, and other kick ass good times, I want to thank Karl Jr. and the entire staff of Looney Tunes for not only keeping music an integral part of my life, but showing the world what being the best damn record store is all about. Thank you for everything guys, and heres to many more years ahead.

Looney Tunes is sort of a love hate for me I absolutely love the shop its full of new and used vinyl and cds but I just find it kind of pricey but its just such a great shop I always go back. Definitely a must for any serious collector or music lover. Its easy to go online and get more for your money but I shop there and show support to local record store its a gift this day and age to have a shop to browse see and feel vinyl :)

This is a cultural institution of the south shore. When it burned down years ago i climbed up on the burnt out roof and prayed to the heavens that they would rebuild and lo and behold they did. Excellent selection of new and used cds and vinyl. I used to come here on payday and spend about 45$ on used cds. Years later and hundreds of cds later i have no room for anymore cds but i still come by for new releases. They also have artists come in for acoustic shows and autographs etc. i love this ppace.

I could spend there hours and hours. Incredible atmosphere, super nice staff, tons and tons of music. Vinyl, CD, players, old and new. If you can’t live without a music - give it a shot!!!

Just had my order cancelled for a 311 bundle (online order) just to find out seller has listed the records on discogs for a 400% mark up. This store is shady, would not recommend

Local record store that sells LPs, CDs, and a bunch of music memorabilia. Prices range by album of course but they are mostly fair and have a punch card program for frequent customers. Also host in store events somewhat regularly that provide opportunities to meet your favorite bands

I’d like to give 2.5 stars if possible. I have highly mixed reactions of this place. Their vintage vinyl is not in great shape and they rarely have anything special. I owned a shop for many years and for the life of me cannot figure out where the “good stuff” is. Also I would NEVER waste valuable floor space with sup par records like they do. I am a collector and audiophile and only want the best of class. There is a place for the $5 records just not that volume in my opinion. Oh yeah, one more thing.... STOP PUTTING STICKERS ON THE ALBUM COVERS AND CLEAN YOUR DAMN RECORDS!!!Some of the staff is friendly and others indifferent. As an ex shop owner I only have this to say. You work in a record shop for Christ’s sake!!! What’s not to be happy about?!!! As an owner I would be very keen to this and would “adjust” my staff accordingly.New viny IS expensive at any brick and mortar shop. There is very little profit (usually $5 or so) per record. So stop complaining about their new records pricing. They don’t have much to do about it. I am happy they have the selection of the new vinyl they have. It’s rare these days and expensive to carry that inventory.

Didnt have the new release record I wanted in stock. Prices are on upper side of reasonable or unreasonable here and there. Place is organized well, large selection despite my complaint above. Sometimes they play grating, aggressive, music at intrusive volumes, but what record store doesnt, right? Makes it hard to think, like you need a list in hand.

This place was pretty much the place I went for my shirts. In Jr. HIGH School and High School I wore nothing but Band Shirts and sweat shirts. I had a really nice sweater that was one of my Christmas gifts in 8th Grade from my dad. I wore mostly Metallica, Guns N Roses, Slayer, Megadeth, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden etc... mostly Metallica and Guns N Roses Shirts! All my tapes and then CDs were bought from Looney Tunes. Its originally called Cut Corners. Thats what it was called when I was in school. Then they changed it to Looney Tunes. Anyway, this place is a staple in Babylon. I grew up right there. I love the place. One of the last Record Stores around!

It may be a great shop to stop into but purchasing anything online is a joke. They dont respond to questions, and when you do get something back, it is short and to the point.
