Mr. Sipin is a fine man, a brilliant gunsmith, and a patriot. The one-star reviews here are from folks who do not know these things. Being a gun owner is a big responsibility... and the owner of this shop does a nice job making sure his customers are able to handle that. He may come off as gruff to some, but in my eyes, that just seems like his way of vetting those who are potentially taking on such a responsibility. Thanks Mr. Sipin for all of your help!

I had the worst experience Ive ever had in a gun shop ever today, walked in looking to find some 3030 shells for my grandfathers gun, the man behind the counter proceeded to be rude at me and cussed at me for addressing him as sir when I talked to him. Will never ever be in that store again as long as I live and would warn anybody not to waste your time or money at this store.

Bad experiences every time I’ve dealt with these guys. Poor workmanship, over priced, rude. The list goes on. They might be able to order a firearm and get it a little cheaper or faster but I wouldn’t waste my time giving them my business. Eisen Arms is next door, they’re much more reputable, go there if you need something done in that area. All in all these guys are hack jobs and I’ll never trust them with a firearm of mine again.

Excellent work at a very fair price. I had Mike find & install a front sight for my century old Colt M1911 which I could not find anywhere. The pistol sat in the safe for 15 years missing that sight. Thanks to Mike & crew I have another fully functional antique. Will return again and will recommend to all firearms friends. Thanks Mike.

I had a problem with a new pistol purchased from Cabelas so I took it to Woodland. Mike corrected the problem quickly. He also gave me a lot of advice on disassembling the pistol and cleaning it. Excellent service.

The owner sucks I came in as a first time buyer and all he wanted to talk about was money and how he can deny me if he wants. The son was very helpful he actually took over because he saw how racist his dad was being towards me. In 5 mins of talking I never felt so ashamed as a customer to the point where I had to pull out 500 cash and my credit card. After I did that he then still said even tho you may have money I can still deny a sell from anyone. I wish I could give no stars but the son kind of saved the day.

CRABBY and unprofessional, unhelpful owner/counter person! Went in there to spend some serious money on a special rifle that I thought would need to be custom made... they advertised that they could do such... got there and found they had such a gun on the wall, but they wouldnt sell it to me, saying it was to good and they wanted it for themselves. Specd a rifle that I wanted them to build... this got a CRABBY response that they would get back to me with a price and delivery date... never heard back... pinged them a couple of times (via voicemail... they dont answer the phone)... never heard back. Their loss... they could have made some good money and avoided this bad review!

I had my Fathers Colt 1911 clone in 38Super/9mm LARGO made in South America refinished there in Dura-Coat black & gray it turned out beautiful and the pricing couldnt be complained about. Id recommend their smithing service to anyone. They also deal in used firearms, and custom made knives, that arent cheap import copies.
