I broke my high E string 15 minutes before a guitar lesson so I stopped here to get it restrung. (I had no clue how to restring at the time). The guy restrung it in no time and only charged me a buck. Great high quality gear and friendly customer service, highly recommend!
Super helpful staff and their guitar tech is pretty amazing. The store itself is a sloppy mess but I think every indy guitar store should be like that. I will be back there soon. Thanks!
Small local business. The selection is good, but the staff is even better by far. Dont take my word for it. Just cruise down High Street and stop in.
Awesome local independent small business music store. Have just about all accessories youll need, great selection of pedals and effects. Recommended! Support a local business!
Al is a great guy to deal with. Prices are competitive with online dealers and Id rather buy local.
If these guys dont have it, it doesnt exist. Nicest people, best selection.
Changes your strings for way cheaper and way faster than Taylors. (Taylors.... a true ripoff of West Chester). Go to West Chester music instead for better prices and service.
I have been shopping here for over 20 years. Great quality products, services and advice. Be sure to visit this community gem.
Comfy place with helpful and friendly people. Found just what I needed for my guitars and violin. Nice selection of gear and instruments.
Most knowledgeable, friendly staff around!
Friendly staff and good deals
Great selectionNew and used gearFair deals on trade insLocally owned by a Brilliant musican.
Al Bien has been in the retail music biz for almost as long as I can remember. Nice guy and experienced musician, so he can guide you well in any potential musical equipment related purchase.
Very responsive, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable owner. Awesome guitar shop!
Awesome place, super friendly! Def be going back!!
Dave was very helpful to my son picking out a beginner guitar, obviously on a budget. To those who say he might be judgmental, I think if you go in there with a basic idea of what you are looking for, and communicate to him what your expertise is, he will figure out how much to meet you half way - more or less. In my case I knew next to nothing. Once I communicated that he was great. Based on that good experience, Im now picking out a guitar for me!
Good ambience and amazing store owner. Went looking for a guitar gig bag. He even looked at our guitar and gave suggestions for free. Would definitely visit again
For the experienced musician or novice, all welcome! Wide selection of instruments, comfortable ambiance and a sales staff who unobtrusively assist. Check it out!!
Ive been coming to this store for years so its about time I leave a review. I just purchased a Fender Blues Deluxe, which sounds outstanding. I also had my Gibson Les Paul setup by their technician and it is absolutely flawless. Aaron was patient and extremely helpful with my purchase. It is without a doubt worth it to support this business over other major retailers (Guitar Center, aka guitar Wal-Mart). Do yourself a favor and check out this shop!
A small room crammed mostly with electric guitar stuff, and a very pleasant and knowledgeable guy. a few keyboards, a few random non guitar things, but this is the place if you are a guitar player.
The good thing about this store is that they will sell you want you need, not the most expensive thing they have. I was looking a an expensive guitar once and Al said, If youre not in love with it, dont buy it.
Al is da man!!!! Needed LP mic claws and he pulled them out of his Springfield store and brought them to wc for me. These damn things are hard to find. His service and willingness to go the extra mile tell me this is the RIGHT place to do business for all your music needs, especially guitar-related
What a great place! I happened to wander in and was greeted right away - I was told I could pick up and play any guitar I wanted. After trying several the owner (Dave) came by and started up a conversation - needless to say I found a guitar that spoke to me ( the new Taylor 814CE) Dave gave me a great price and threw in some extra goodies. Its hard to find a friendlier place - Thanks!
Taylor in town is more friendly with a better selection. I have been there 5 times to pick up strings and sometimes my friend and I like to play for a little. I believe its the owner that comes off as very standoffish and is one to judge a book by its cover. The two younger staff members are inviting but the older guy with short hair and and a goatee treats 18-22 year old students that have been playing guitar for 10+ years as incompetent on how to handle a guitar.
Great store! Never know what youll find. New, used, vintage, boutique. Dave and his staff are very knowledgeable. Always fair with prices. My favorite music store.
To be fair they should be called West Chester Guitar, because the store is really guitar-focused. With that qualifier out of the way though, whats not to like? They carry great (read: not boring) stuff, price competitively, know what theyre talking about, are part of the local and online music community, and work to build relationships with customers. With more and more privately owned shops going bland or belly-up, WC Music is a comfortable home for local musicians to buy, sell, and trade quality gear with like-minded people. Ive been playing and buying for 20+ years, and since my first visit more than a year ago, I buy from WC, not GC.
Al is not a good store owner. Not a nice guy. Get out of Springfield and stay in West Chester.
Staff knows what they are talking about and what they are selling, including having fair prices on what you sell them. Favorite local music store by far.
Ive been doing business at West Chester music for over 30 years (Im logged in under my Wifes account, my name is Paul). Went in to return a guitar strap I bought for my wife and the guy gave me a hard time (all tags were still in place, absolutely nothing wrong with it, she didnt like the design). Unbelievable!? Al would never treat his customers like that. Ive spent thousands of dollars in that store! Ill never go back. The folks at Taylor treat me like an old friend.
I have never been into such a dark and intimidating store, I had heard good things but was very disappointed to find out that they were not true. The workers were unpleasant and besides a hello when i walked in there i never heard another word from them. Very rude and unfriendly
Had a great experience Dave is knowledgable, very personal, patient and did everything he could to help make me happy! Hope to return there soon.
Great place for the musicians in the area.
Best place I like buy strings here
Newly remodeled and looks great, nice selection
Very nice staff, excellent selection of guitars. Couldnt believe that they had a Reverend selection!
Great selection of consignment instruments as well as new instruments. I wish I could visit more often.
The multiple times I have interacted with the owner have been terrible. It seems like he doesnt want your business at all and isnt welcoming.
Newly renovated shop.
They had a bunch of Zvex peddles and an old dude that probably swam in Alan Parsons pool once.
Limited selection, prices didnt look too good at first glance.
Great music store .
Friendly environment.
All great well attended.
