The place is cute and has a lot of character. They offer indoor and outdoor seating.Tasty food with home made pasta - we had caprese and two pasta dishes (seafood). The portions are small.The only limitation is that when it gets busy, tables aren’t as “socially distanced” and the folks in the kitchen didn’t seem to be ALL wearing masks/gloves.

Amazing hidden gem in West Chester. Homemade, authentic Italian pasta you can literally watch coming out of the pasta machine through the glass kitchen. Dolce Zola’s overall aesthetics is that of a chic romantic restaurant with very cozy vibe. Perfect for a date night! The friendly and knowledgeable staff made excellent recommendations and were very attentive. Everything came out quickly, even paced and our meals were absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend!

The restaurant was incredible. The ambience is better than most restaurants in West Chester; few can match it. Hugh was an incredible server and made the night a better than it was. Dishes I would recommend are thewhipped ricotta: very odd but balanced mix of sweet and savory 5/5Creamy Saffron (explorative): most restaurants are unable to balance saffron in their dishes (as a garnish or otherwise) due to its unique flavor. dolce Zola has somehow mastered this with it’s fragrant notes while maintaining a delicious texture. 5/5

The outdoor back deck is cozy however they only had 1 waitress working it (about 6 tables). The waitress was new and she did good. The water they use for drinks is gross so the cokes tasted awful. No free refills so 4 total sodas cost me $14 which was not made clear before they refilled. The food took over an hour and a half to arrive. For the price I’d rather have gone elsewhere. The chicken parm was warm but not hot and the meat was tough. And my girlfriends meatballs and pasta was also just warm. I cannot recommend this place to anyone because the wait was so long. If we hadn’t already placed our orders we would’ve left.

Fresh pasta was very good. Service could be improved. We were not offered drink refills and servers stopped by the table numerous times trying to give us other tables orders and drinks. It was a bit frustrating but the meal was tasty.

The fresh pasta was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and it was overall a good experience. My family was having some trouble with internet connection to access the online menus so we asked for paper ones and we were told they had no paper menus at all. Additionally, while the food tasted great it was a little bit pricey and the portions werent as large as I come to expect from Italian restaurants. By the time I got home from dinner I was already starting to feel a bit hungry.

This restaurant is unique and pretty cool.The dishes and drinks were pretty good. For the price - the broccoli Rabe was overpowering and the dish didnt have much flavor - I felt a little rabed.They accommodated our large party and the experience and ambiance was wonderful for my brother and friends birthday.

My wife and I dined here on a Saturday evening. We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant is nicely decorated and fairly modern. The kitchen is exposed and they have some tables with a full view but most are on the other side of a wall.We were seated in the basement. That I think was less than ideal since it was like a morgue while the upstairs was lively.Service was good but not special. They have several entrees but the stars of the menu are the fresh pastas. We both had starters which were quite good. I had crab and ricotta balls and my wife beets and beans.For pasta I had the Rocco and my wife had a spicy red sauce with sausage but she complained that there were only two small pieces of sausage. I had asked for sausage in my Rocco which is vegetarian but the server neglected to pass that along to the kitchen. At least he also forgot to put it on the bill.Dessert was chocolate mousse which was great but a bit small to share. Its BYOB and they charge a $2.50 cooking fee.If they fix some service issues it will be a nice place and I would request not to be in the basement.

Food was decent. Priced accordingly. I went here because reviews said that that have handmade pasta and I love places like that. I ordered the lasagna and my gf got the gnocchi. The lasagna seemed to either A) be over cooked or B) have too thin of noodles as there was no structure to it and was basically mush when you ate it. The gnocchi was good but the sauce was a little bland. Flavors were not too prominent either. Wait staff was amazing and the vibe of the restaurant was chill too.

I had a delicious meal here. I had the Beet and bean salad it was incredible. The pasta with the cheese fondue sauce was really good. There was a ton of cheese the sauce was just incredible. And for dessert I had the marscapone with berries. I would definitely recommend going here!

The service was impeccable and the decor and presentation of the place was incredible.....but the food was trash. We made reservations a week ago and were waiting to be seated 15 minutes after getting there. However, all of the white folks were seated immediately. The pasta was undercooked, the shrimp were overcooked, the sauce was bitter and cringy and the clams were super slimy. The salmon tasted completely unseasoned, the mash potatoes were super small in portion and the asparagus was runny, super soft and unseasoned. The only thing we enjoyed were the appetizers of mussels. Id use the sauce from the mussel dish to sop the bread in if I were you, because the tomato marinade that comes with it is super bitter and bland. Tasted like a raw tomato grinded up. Will not be going back ever.

We went here for Valentines day. They sat us in the basement and the server was spotty at best. You could tell they were short staffed. I asked for wine recommendations and the server didnt have a clue. As usual, the food very good but I would avoid this place for special occasions.

The whole evening was perfect between the reasonably priced wine, great food, and great service I couldnt be happier.The cheese board was amazing and so was the salmon in blush sauce. Ive lived in West Chester my whole life and never heard of or been to this place and my expectations were floored. I felt like I traveled to New York or Philly for the night and then transported back to my hometown when finished. The atmosphere was young, modern, and slightly hipster which made it a cool spot for a young person like me. Highly recommend.

Amazing everything! I grew up in an Italian family and this is one of my favorite Italian restaurants, the food was delicious the wine was paired perfectly and the service was great ! The sauce was made like my families, which is hard to find at most Italian restaurants I go to. Sitting outdoors made it more magical!

Great food and the real candlelight adds a pleasant ambiance. Friendly staff and accommodating to dietary requests. Thank you for always having a gluten free pasta option! The only area that needs some improvement is the service (shorten the wait times for getting orders and make sure to check on the table throughout the meal). We skipped dessert only due to the fact that the meal took over 2 hours from when we sat down to when our leftovers were boxed up.

Great food here. Service was just as good. There were an error made on one of my items, they immediately apologized, fixed it, and even added a little extra surprise for me. Its really appreciated when a business takes care of its customers. Cannt wait to go back.

Id give it 4.5 if I could. All of our food was very good. Service, like most places in WC that employ college students, was too casual for the level of restaurant. Waiters return with food asking who gets what - this is not an auction! But thats true all over town. Isnt it their job to know who ordered what? The cheese plate that we shares was terrific, and the portion was perfect for 4. Everybody at the table enjoyed their pasta dishes; again, good portion size, very good preparation and presentation. Decor was very nice, we especially enjoyed our 4-top with cozy matching love seats. It was a fun place to sit and enjoy for two couples out for a Saturday date night. The back room we were in had a cool, urban vibe. We BYOBd, but they apparently just got a liquor license. Not sure if its wine/beer, or full liquor. Call and inquire, if thats important.

This is our FAVORITE date night spot.Pros: not a big restaurant but each table feels like it has its own intimate, cozy space, cool big tables in front of the kitchen so you can see the action, and BYOB!!Cons: noneYou gotta order the...Its a tie between the Cheese Tortellini Soup starter and the Pane Fritto Pastries with the chocolate sauce. But honestly, everything in between is incredible.Local tip: Always make a reservation - we have never had an issue.

The food was excellent. Service not so good. It WAS NY eve, but my husband got his dinner (both courses, which they werent supposed to come together) and totally ate it before we got ours. Turns out it was the person at the table NEXT to us. Her table ate all their food before she got hers! We didnt know what was happening and no one came to tell us anything. When our food finally came, the young waitress just said that because we were downstairs and the table numbers got mixed up! REALLY?! No other apology, no discount, no manager, nothing. Not good business. Its a shame because the food was excellent. We should have told someone but we were downstairs and when we left, we didnt see a manager or anyone upstairs except the young man that seated us. I would have given 4 stars if service was good. Very disappointing.

Never greeted or acknowledged upon arrival. We were seated after 10 minutes but never given menus and no server ever approached our table or the table next to us. We went elsewhere after 20 minutes.

Authentic!! Genuine, Italian food (my fiancé lived in Rome and can confirm) that is made fresh daily and served hot in generous portions that filled me up. I have tried the pesto gnocchi and the vodka pasta. Both of which are delicious. The cheese platter appetizers are expensive but very fun to try an assortment of cheeses before the main dish comes out! If I had one suggestion it would be to have better bread on the table before the food comes out

My wife and I came here for our anniversary. We ate outside because it was a beautiful day and their exterior decorations were great. It is probably only bested by their gorgeous interior decorations. We both shared a cheese board and chose from the homemade pasta bar. Everything is locally sourced farm to table and the vegetables are pesticide free. Others commented on the prices, but I think the prices matched the portions fairly. We both had plenty to take home. BYOB makes it even more affordable and being family owned adds to the positives. Definitely will return and recommend to others.

Scratch kitchen and homemade pasta, need I say more? This is one of my go to restaurants in West Chester. The food is really yummy and I havent had a disappointing meal there. The decor is a nice spin on modern and the food is delicious. Wait staff was attentive and friendly.

Loved my experience at dolce Zola! The food was great and there was just enough variety where it wasnt overwhelming but also gave you some solid choices. The restaurant itself was spacious and definitely had a comfortable setting. The service was also good and I didnt have any problems with the servers. Overall the experience was great and I will for sure come here again!

.My only critique is that the restaurant was a little on the cold side, temperature-wise . Our server,, Liam was wonderful. The food was delicious. Worth the money, enough said.

Salad was underdressed. Coffee was weak. Not our favorite.

First time visiting since the i-Pasta expansion, and the food is still great, only now with an expanded open kitchen, seating, and more menu options. Plus, you can finally make reservations online! After never having a service issue in the past at I-Pasta, unfortunately, our Sunday evening party of 6 got the apparent rookie. Even though the restaurant was only 1/3 full, poor execution of the simple basics such as water, ice bucket, bread, and simply picking up finished dishes. Our waiter disappeared for whole chunks of time, to the point of after everyone at the table was finished for more than 20 minutes, had to go find him in the back of the kitchen. Still - The food and new facility is great, will go back and hope for a better trained or different server next time.

Very authentic Italian food. A nice Italian couple owns the place. Ive never had anything I didnt like here. Formerly i-Pasta, theyve expanded and the newly redesigned interior is very modern. Some menu items are the same or very similar, and some new creations have been added.

First time there since the remodel. Fabulous experience. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, BYOB made it a great value!! Will definitely go back, would definitely recommend.

There is a reason why Teca down the street is packed and Dolce Zola is empty on a Saturday night!

I wanted to like this place. Felt liked you stepped into an modern Italian bistro with a nice outside dining grotto in the back. The design and feel was right. The apps were on point. The bresaola was flavorful and well seasoned. The roasted beats and white beans was everything u want it to be, with quality balsamic and goat cheese. Adding that one to my make at home list. The pastas themselves were cooked well. I wish the red sauce in the fra diablo had more depth. The best dish of the night, by consensus, was the pancetta, mushrooms, and peas. Wished there were more peas. They might as well have been absent from the dish and it was still a favorite so they have that going for them.

Awesome italian restaurant right in downtown west chester. This is now one of my favorite italian restaurants. Everything is made from scratch and it really shows. To make it better its Byob which is always good. Food is also reasonably priced for the quality. This is one place you dont want to miss if you are in the area.

I adore ipasta. I go there with my friend all the time- and we sit for hours talking and eating and having our bottles of wine. We always chat with the owners- and know a bit about their family as she knows our families! It is my go to place for the best food, the greatest ambience, the real Italian experience in letting us linger. You can take out too- and the pasta is always fresh- and the gravies are wonderful. They dont even charge for corkage- and there is always a place to park. It has atmosphere! Small and cosy. Thanks for being here!

I went on a Sunday at 5pm and the whole place was nearly empty; the atmosphere was perfect and the decor is excellent. The waitress was very attentive and polite, props to her. The food was amazing — Mom and I enjoyed the lobster ravioli entree and the salmone cremoso (with trottole), respectively. We also each ordered a little green salad and although I think it lacked dressing, it didn’t really need any in my opinion. The bread was excellent with whatever the sauce was (oops I wasn’t paying attention), although I think you can get it with oil, too. I finished off with the chocolate mousse, which was arguably up to par with the creme chocolat that La Baguette Magique serves down the street. It was just enough food to keep me full for the rest of the night. Thank you!

Great downstairs, newly opened. Much quieter than upper tables although service is a little trickier downstairs. Food was very good for all (party of 7) but menu is a little confusing and some dishes were a tad underseasoned. Definitely will return.

We went to i-Pasta last Saturday night with another couple. What a wonderful addtionn to restaurants in the West Chester area - great Italian Food, BYOB, and a family run business. Only one of us was able to finish his dinner. Choose your sauce - and they have 10-12 homemade choices, and then choose your pasta - also homemade. They also have Specials for the evening. The Resaturant is small which makes it noisy, but they are so good, I have no doubt that in time they will expand to a larger location.Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

Best Italian restaurant that Ive ever been! Actually, the best restaurant that Ive been. First, the space is really nice, well decorated and comfortable. Plus, the food... Oh, the food! Its so delicious! Everything from the bread until the main dish was very tasty and fresh. Ive been to the place many times now and I never get tired. The place is really clean and you can see the kitchen through a big glass window. The sausage polenta appetizer and pumpkin soup for example are to die for. The pasta bar section is great because you can put together a sauce of your choice with a pasta type and toppings such as crispy chicken, sausage and mushrooms. The shrimp aurora sauce, the pesto pistacchio, carbonara and ragu bolognese are among the pasta sauces that Ive tried, being each one super delicious, and they have way more other options that Im excited to try. It has become my favorite place to eat!
