Best place to get raw shrimp! Wont get it at any other grocery store. We also got a few pounds of marinated chicken quarters. We will be grilling that tomorrow. Cant wait to see how that turns out!

They have really great chorizo here which is really the only reason I go there. The fruits and vegetables, however, are not that great. Most of the vegetables are bruised or rotten. The same issue with the fruits. All the oranges Ive gotten from here have some type of mold inside it. The store is also not that greatly kept. I think its worth it to come here for the meats they offer because they are very delicious, but the rest of the stuff they offer is mediocre, overpriced, or of bad quality.

You need to train the person you put as a manager because he is very unprofessional and rude to customers. I went with my mom because I dont have a car she was going to do her own shopping and I was going to buy groceries I needed. When he saw that we got out of the same car he went and yelled at us only one of us could get in. I tried to explain the situation and he was rude.

Delicious food and great prices. Cant believe a grocery store has better food than actual restaurants. Wont be disappointed.

Really good prices on vegetables and pretty reasonable for everything else. Extensive meat and seafood section and plenty of Mexican favorites. Havent tried the food from the cafe but its my go to for general grocery shopping. 3 for a dollar Bunches of cilantro!

It was a decent burrito. It could have been wrapped better and I asked for avacado and sour cream yet I didnt find it in my meal. The meat was good, a generally tasty burrito.

This is a great Mexican market. Its quite large and has quite a few options. They have all the standard you expect for a Mexican market, as well as a lot of other Hispanic choices. Their soda aisle has quite a few auctions from different countries. Guarana soda is one of my favorites, and I was very happy to find it here

Not enough varieties on produce section. Whatever they had wasn’t fresh either, a little disappointed but other hispanic items seemed pretty packed. Friendly service as well as neat and tidy for the deli section.

Great Mexican bakery & very inexpensive. I dont understand or speak much spanish but the employees & customers are always willing to help. The aroma of the baked goods pulls you in from the parking lot. Check out their weekly sales flyer, great bargains. Im dieing to try something with their mole sauce from the restaurant or deli.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I am very disappointed in La Jimenez. I recently visited the West Chicago location. With the current epidemic I can understand that certain items are limited and certain quantities are allowed to be purchased. However if you are going to limit product purchases there should be some sort of sign stating what is limited and how many of each. I went to purchase some of there small bags of Maseca which had a sign that stated they were 2 for $4. I grabbed 4 since they were out of tortillas. I made sure to look for a sign that stated there was a limit and I did not find one for the small bags of Maseca. Mind you they had alot of the small bags stocked and none of the big bags. So when I got to the cashier she told me that they were limiting the purchase of this item. I explained to her that there was no sign, so she proceeded to ask a gentlemen who was walking by which to whom i assume was her superior, and he very rudely said yes to her and I explained that there was no sign.And he argued that there was, I asked him to bring the sign and he ignored me and walked away. I told the lady to just give me 2 and I paid her and Thanked her. If the gentlemen would have brought the sign I probably wouldnt be doing this review. He was rude and quite unprofessional, thanks to him I will no longer visit your establishment.

A little bit on the dirty side. They were even boxes laying in the isles from someone stocking. Great produce! But I will say that the restaurant inside the grocery store has some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten! Especially the chili rellno!

I am a white person who feels I dont belong,why? I believe in helping our locals out but when they treat me like what are you doing in our store, I would rather go else where. My daughter married into the Mexican family and I am not prejudice. I am learning to cook mexican food for my new family. A smile or a little help goes a long way.Whole foods here I come!!!

These guys are pretty good here. They usually have everything Im looking for. They are very busy on the weekends. However the parking sucks and to get to them the oncoming traffic is always horrible.

Some cashiers are rude.and one of the managers (short guy with glasses)is so cheap when I bought 3 pounds of Carnitas (fried pork)he only gave me 2 small cups of salsa I asked him for more and he told me it was one cup for every pound you buy,I told him I had 3 lbs and he said no.if you see a weekly special in their ad make sure You go in the first couple days because they will supposely run out and wont have more in stock until for some crazy reason right after the sale ends. What a coincidence.

They have a lot of genetically modified food there. Sometimes the pineapples are completely red from the inside. Other than that they do provide a huge variety Hispanic food & Mexican bread is good.

I stop for lunch and i had chicken with rice and beans . Chicken was not cook well i took the food back to the guy incharge but he said it was cook right when u can actually could off seen redness on the meat and the bones it was nasty. i told him to keep or do whatever he want it to do.CUSTOMERS CHECK REALLY GOOD IF U FOOD IS COOK THE WAY U WILL DO IT AT UR HOUSE

It is Alright but. the Bollios are always hard. they make the excuses that the Doors are Always opening. Or she says put it in the oven. I only live 2 Blocks from there. That is why I go there But I Rather go to La Chiquita. Where the Bread is soft and it is Far but that is OK and They only have one cashier who is always mad 😡 all the time.

I really like the fruits and vegetables that are always fresh and the prices are always affordable. I like finding tropical fruits such as papaya, mangoes, guava and even sugar cane!Remember to visit their bakery too. French bread make everyday.

Jimenez is my usual go to as a Mexican supermarket. The food court is awesome, groceries are cheap, and they have a awesome meat counter. The only reason why Im knocking off a star is because sometimes the produce isnt as fresh.

I like going there good prices.But there is one Cashier with and Attitude like she is always Mad she is always on the First Register I was with My Father In Law and I went first and he was behind me. He was paying and she very rude. Says what are you waiting on your things are there and I said I am waiting on my Father in Law you see me talking to him dont you. That is why I avoid here I go to other cashiers if she does not want to deal with people then dont work at A Grocery store
