Today I came to get ice cream and I noticed this sign that says they going to be closed for 30 minutes while the employees take their break. I patiently waited for 30 minutes just for them to stay closed despite a line of people forming outside. I could see that employees inside could see the customers waiting and did not care. This also took place an hour before closing so I do not understand why all of the employees would need to take their break together and for 30 minutes at 9pm. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion.However, I had been here before and enjoyed the product although it does take a while to receive it.

Ordered the cookies and cream ice cream, which I highly recommend. Its a bit pricey for a cup of ice cream, but its so soft and creamy. I thought it was worth it.Staff are friendly, and the place is clean.FYI- They have the Five Stars rewards program. I signed in and got 1 free topping. That was cool.

Ice Cream Chef is amazing. The rolled ice cream tastes and has the thick rich ice cream I love. It holds up in texture and the toppings that are used are high quality. The price is competitive and worth the amount of food you get. We got the Horchata and Nutella flavors, definitely a must. They are also very Instagram worthy. The customer service was nice, upbeat, and welcoming. The shop is clean, very well decorated, and bright.

This is located in the little shopping area near the cinema. The staff were super friendly and the ice cream was great. I tried the mint chocolate chip ice cream. One complaint are the spoons, we all felt like we were gonna break them on the rolled ice cream leading to a not so great eating experience.

This is a must try in West Covina! The portion size is above average which is great if you are trying to fill your ice cream needs. I ordered a Mangonada and a Nutella rolled ice cream . The Mangonada has a great taste, mild sweetness with a little bit of spice. It was a very original take on ice cream and it exceeded my expectations. The location its self is a hole in the wall but it definitely shines when being introduced to the neat art and decor. All of the decor surrounding is very trendy/asthetically pleasing for your Instagram page. Lucy the person helping us out was very professional and on top of it, even gave our dogs ice cold water on a hot day. I would recommend to come early on the weekdays because I could totally see this place being very popular on the weekends since its in the same plaza as a movie theaters. Overall I would highly recommend Ice Cream Chef because over their delicious take on ice cream and great customer service.

Serves rolled ice cream here, comes in different flavors with preset toppings, located in the plaza next to the edwards cinema, this place can definitely get busy, we had to wait 30 mins for our cups because they make everything fresh by mixing and freezing the milk/cream on a frozen tabletop board. we got the rocky road and smores, both were amazingly delicious!! Thank you!

Customer service was the best Ive ever seen in a while. The ice cream chef is very attentive and willing to try any customizable flavor if you bring it in. He did a great job serving me ice cream rolls that tasted very delicious. I would definitely come back here, especially in the summer time when I need somewhere to chill, relax and cool off and maybe with friends too. Its a nice place to hang around.

Ice cream rolls! And the employees are really nice too. They have two roll plates for extra efficiency. Ice cream rolling is like a performance art, Id suggest tipping because they really are making it right in front of you.

Ice cream taste is fine. But the wait is too long and dont expect the servers to greet you nor acknowledge your presence.

Drove 25 minutes to get here because google said they close at 11 and I wanted to try something new. And i came around 10:25 and the guy told me they were closed. If you are planning to close sooner you should change it on your google or yelp. Very inconvenient to waste all that gas just for you guys to close earlier than what is posted

I ordered chocolate and added almonds, marshmallows, and brownie. It tasted a lot like, well...nothing! It vaguely resembled a mildly sweet treat, not real ice cream. And way over priced! $45 total for 5 ice creams..at an average of $9 per person for frozen milk...we won’t be back!
