What a great group of people! I accidently landed at the Friedrichs Corp office and walked right into a company meeting! They were so gracious, kind, and understanding! Gave me a gift card and directions to their 22nd St location. When I showed up the staff was kind, gracious and welcoming! Great coffee and great people! Drive past the other place and find Friedrichs!!! Nice work guys, thank you!

I wasnt impressed, wasnt disappointed. Its coffee. Some places do a better job steaming milk than others but it hits the caffeine craving 🙂

The employees here were so patient after I messed up my own order twice because of my dietary restrictions. They made my drink twice, let me add to my order, and got me water that I asked for later after already ordering while taking care of other customers. Definitely a fan. Their drink selections and food options are enticing, and fun, the space is a bit small but adequate for what they offer, and they do make up for it in outside space.

I usually love Friedrichs, but have recently been very disappointed with the drinks I’ve had from this location. I order what I always have, but for some reason this location has messed up a simple coffee drink several times. Service is really good, but I’m sorry to say that I won’t be going to this location anymore.

Got the Blueberry Smoothie today and it as well as the Barista deserves 5 Stars for sure!

Owner is a wonderful man and his staff gives amazing service! Maybe John doesn’t like this place because he doesn’t know how to spell latte lol! Jk, I thought the owner was very respectful on his response, especially the way “John” spoke about the place! Are people really complaining about the staff, during a Pandemic! You’re lucky their even open to service the community and the Government practically changes the policy on a daily basis? We have to ask ourselves, when voting, how many people have lost their jobs and businesses! Thank you for being open and helping the community! Starbucks just wear a mask and I haven’t seen anyone wearing gloves and if you’re that scared of Corona, stay home! If you actually do research on the virus, masks don’t do much to protect you anyway; it’s so small, it can infiltrate the mask! FYI, I actually think it has spread more because people just use sanitizer which really only works, if you use it AFTER you wash your hands! Look it up! I work in an OR, so that’s how I know! Take care everyone and just breathe and relax! We will get through this with God’s help and please try to support local business owners, who are suffering from this virus 🦠 and the people that have lost their jobs and lives! Busy little coffee shop. Offering free samples and the staff was very welcoming, which gets them to 3 stars. Tried to order a pour over and was told they cannot make it because “we don’t have a pot.”Seems like a weird excuse to not make something on your menu, especially when a coffee shop has been open for more than a few weeks. Seems like something is off every time I visit a Friedrich’s, which is why I don’t visit more often. Disappointing.Tip: you don’t need a proper kettle to make a good pour over.

This place always looks busy and has queues. However, the staff work hard and tables turn over quite quickly so you dont have to wait long. The atmosphere is great and there are a good range of coffees. The hot chocolate is served at a perfect drinking temperature and it was excellent. The cakes all looked amazing so it was.

Always love coming here as the drinks are better than major chains and you can get the largest size here for less than the cost of the smallest drink elsewhere. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth the short wait for your crafted drink. I look forward to going back soon and consider Friedrichs Coffee a must stop for out of Towner. Truly a local gem!

Went for the first time last week and loved it! Excellent quality products, good prices, great service. Seating area is a little small but I love that it is local.

I have been going to a Friedrichs for over 20 years. Friedrichs has become many things to me over the years. Recently, I heard that the owner fired 2 people from the 22nd Street store and then many of the remaining employees quit in support. I have developed relationships with many of the employees. I accept the right of the owner to hire and fire people at their will.In the future, I will think LONG and HARD about where I go to have a cup of coffee and refreshment.Longtime customer

The employees need a boost of confidence, or something. The coffee, and the ambiance was great. I’ve been to about 20 coffee shops in the Des Moines metro, this is in the top three. I’ll be back.

Im not one to ever post reviews, bad or good. Ive been going to the coffee shop on 22nd st daily, for almost 2 years. I loved everyone there. Jen, Jess, Chris, Liv, and Darren are amazing and the only reason I keep coming back. today, I found out that the ENTIRE staff was fired (mind you, 3 of 5 are siblings that have worked there over a decade) due to poor management by the owner. I am absolutely shocked that I walk into a small business that Ive dealt with for years, to find out that the manager doesnt care enough about personal relationships to keep this small business going. I know MANY daily customers are absolutely floored and upset by this. if any manager cares enough to read this, you guys have royally screwed up.

Coffee was outstanding. My husband and I were at the coffee house on 22nd. Two gals working there. The blonde was ok, the dark haired girl was annoyed by us and didnt want to be working. My husband and I both had the same feeling about her. Rude! We are Christians and I know the coffee house is owned by a Christian company. Doesnt make Christians look good.
