I went there to buy Tobanjan or the broad bean paste, ended up buying dried shiitake mushrooms, wakame seaweed and miso paste. The cashier might seem a little distracted but she was able to help me with what I needed. The prices are way cheaper than what is available online for the similar items. They mostly have everything needed for the preparation of oriental dishes, which are difficult to find elsewhere or unlikely to get at mainstream general supermarts. I was able to spot a wide range of noodles, sauces, vinegar, bean pastes, oils, seaweed like kombu as well as nori sheets for Sushi, snacks, rice and many more items that caters to the Asian cuisine. Also found fresh bean sprouts which I havent seen anywhere except at whole foods. The only thing that bothered me was the stink that strikes when entering the store and then runs throughout the ambience, wish they could do something about it.

This is a great shop. I visited today to by two packs of ginger. You can also get all manner of groceries and fresh vegetables too. My neighbor also told me she buy her salmon fish here. In fact she was the one that introduced me to this Hong Kong shop. The workers are friendly too, and there’s wheelchair accessible entrance for the differently abled.

I love this Market I love it because as you can see you can get fresh seafood and you can get Frozen seafood and then you can go home and make any little delightful Seafood medley youre in the mood for besides the fact of the selection that they have on the seafood they have every fresh herb and vegetable that you might need to make that special dish complete the only reason why I didnt give it five stars was because the location is super far from me but its not so far that I wont go and pick it up other than that its awesome awesome awesome

Good fish market but the employee was somewhat rude since he was closing and cleaning the area and didnt want to fillet the fish I ordered, just cleaned it out. Also the plain ol american celery was ridiculously expensive. Chinese variety is cheaper.

Anyone (like me) who loves Asian stores that arent fancy but sell lots of Asian specialties, fresh fish, Asian staples and snacks will appreciate this place. I only had time to cover half of it and managed to see a lot. Great selection of rice noodles, soy sauces galore, and other sauces. Has Asian imported brands as well as common brands like Kikkoman in a more American commercial section. Not the widest selection of tea. Most products are for Chinese food (hence the name), but also some sushi supplies and limited kinds of rice vinegar and other goods more common outside of China are available. Be prepared: like many of these down-to-earth, low-priced stores, it has a strong fishy odor and was cold enough inside in February for the cashier to be wearing a winter jacket and scarf. I give it four stars for anyone looking for a big selection at low prices and isnt looking for aesthetics or comfort. If youre not familiar with stores like this, you might be very uncomfortable shopping here, but to me, its a very good place compared to other stores like it because its not cramped, is organized well and has a lot to offer at reasonable prices. Theres a big frozen section with lots of dumplings, seafood and bags of fresh vegetables like baby bok choy, greens, enochi mushrooms, etc, as well as bunches of onions, cilantro, garlic, loose ginger, etc. Will return when I have at least an hour to really spend more time.

Best Asian grocery store in the area. You can get Chinese, Korean, Japanese and other southeast Asian food products in this store. Soy sauce, tofu, instant noodles, 20 lbs bags of rice, tea, coconut milk, etc. They also carry frozen and fresh veggies and fish. You can also ask them to clean the fish so you dont have to.

The cashier did not bother to say hello when you said hello to her. NO, she is not the owner, Not the boss. But, she is VERY bossy. I felt going shopping there is to pay to get the insults. Also, the cashier keyed in the price so fast that you could not catch what she has typed in and asked you to pay. And, if you caught a wrong price, she would tell you that the price went up. The store is very very COLD in the winter because it does not want to pay the heating bill. In the January or February, if you stay inside for more than 10 minutes, you probably will pass out dead due to the low temperature. It is even COLDER than outside.... No kidding. The owner does not bother to fix the store. It looks old and dirty. The price is high though. And, the store does not take credit card below $20. Tax evasion????!!!! I tried to avoid shopping here.

Very dirty and stinky place with very nasty parking. You can buy some stuff that you need there for Chinese cooking, and good fish but its just so dirty there. And yes, the girl that work there as cashier, she always watching her cellphone, and you have to call her twice if not three times until she start checking you out, not to mention that she is doing it so slow. Reminds me a character from Secret Life of Pets

So what if the cashier is on her phone? WHO writes a review like that? That girl looks like she is about 12 years old and for her age (whatever it truly is) she is GREAT behind that register, every time i go there. Give her some credit! Young Non-Asian kids today are DODOS!!!!! in comparison!. She gives me quick answers to my questions, bags me at lightening speed and if WHILE on her phone! I dont care! Its better than going to Stop & Shop where some young Girl/Old Woman or Moronic Boy is YAPPING and YAPPING while I stand there wishing I had a 2x4 to whack em over the head with! What else do you want to complain about? The temperature inside in the Winter? Yeah, it is COLD in there, it is. Seems like the heat is set at 40 degrees! They are either doing that for financial reason (God Bless them) or not to compromise the integrity of their fresh fish. Maybe both! but ya know? I have no problem with it because I am in and OUT due to that Girl you complain about thats on her phone!. (BTW, the walk-in Refrigerator at Restaurant Depot is much colder). If you want to complain about the fish smell when you enter? Im with ya there. I dont know if someone hoses down the delivery truck outside the front door but it is nasty. I hear the fish is incredibly fresh though I never purchased any to confirm. But that smell is like a fish market in NYC in August and that smell I am sure turns of many people with weak stomachs. They need to try to do a lot better with that. Clean up the smell of the place and attract more people (Are you listening Hong Kong Market? you should be!), but Again....in and out, got what I need at a great price. You people that require that a cashier interact with you about how your day is going? Really??? YEAH! you can keep that!. Give me quick accurate answers to what isle i need to go down is all I care about.

Fish is good, but the problem is who are in front at the register, This girl, first does not say hello, then she does not stop seeing her phone, she marks the prices very fast and she does not stop touching her phone, shes even more aware of the phone than the client, I think thats why Im charged twice, Something the owner has to do
