Worst customer service I have experienced!! I was screamed and cursed at and kicked out of the store because she was closing. After calling 4 times and sending an email to ensure my order would be ready. I left work early and drove 3 hours to pick up an order in store. I explained calmly several times that I had driven 3 hours and been told the order was ready. When I was stuck in traffic on 95 I even called to make sure they would leave it outside the door just in case I got there after 5pm. I spoke to Lauren and she said she would leave it at the door!I arrived at 4:40pm and no on could find my order. Lauren came out and was upset at me that I had come because she had not called me to say the order was ready.I explained again I had come 3 hours to get here! Laurens response to me was to “get back into my car and drive 3 hours back”. Lauren would not allow me to speak to anyone else. She insisted that the other employees answering the phones never would have told me my order was ready.I have been charged for items I did not receive and was not given any information as to when I might receive them.I highly suggest looking somewhere else if you’re interested in customer service of any kind.UPDATE: although I did receive a response, only through google review, no phone call or email from the company. I have not received these items they say we’re shipped and it doesn’t help regardless since I purchased elsewhere for the final parts we needed for the job being done today. That was the whole reason again I drove all the way to New Haven!The point is that I CALLED 4 TIMES AND WAS TOLD EACH TIME IT WAS READY!!! They had the whole day I was calling to tell me it wasn’t going to be ready!! I wouldn’t have driven 3 hours to pick it up!!Regardless our company has been ordering from Grand Brass for years and we will no longer be customers. For any potential customers, look for someone who actually cares to support you and your business needs! Someone that hires employees with simple people skills may help too.

Ordering was easy and delivery was quick! I was reluctant to purchase a dimmer from Grand Brass because I purchased the same dimmer a few years ago that was defective and I was charged a restocking fee. I really needed the dimmer so re-purchased the same dimmer from them and my experience was great! Im sure the initial bad dimmer and added expense was not the norm but the end result was the right part for my lamp that works!

I dont buy a lot of stuff from them, but they have most everything I need for my lamp making hobby, at very good prices. Recently I called up to amend an order and had an issue with the person who answered the phone and I sent a complaint. I was totally amazed at the positive response. Someone actually called me up and straightened things out. That is customer service for you!! They are my number one go-to for lamp parts.

Do not order from this vendor. Ordered five pendant light fixturess that are stated to have 10’ cords. All were sent with five foot cords. When I wrote the company to ask what was going on the representative, Lauren, told me that it was too bad the lamps weren’t “working out for me.” I replied that of course they weren’t working out for me as they are incorrect.She then told me she needed to “see them to know whether they were or weren’t”. She was the rudest representative I have ever dealt with at a store. I explained that now I am in trouble with scaffolding being removed from my renovation and no pendant light cords. We needed them this week. I can send them back but I don’t have time for her to check them out and see if I’m lying before resending the correct parts.She seemed to have no understanding that their error was causing Enormous problems and acted as if I was being rude and difficult for needing to receive the items I paid for.Then she told me I should be happy because she was offering me three great options:1. Get a refund.2. Get a return and have replacements sent by ground. (Clearly won’t receive them for over 10 business days.)3. Pay, out of pocket, to have replacements sent quickly.I explained that none of these options was particularly “great”. I ordered things with ample time to install and the only reason I’m now in a pinch is because the wrong items were sent. Now it is my problem.I would absolutely not ever order from them again. Mistakes happen. But companies usually apologize and try to remedy the mistakes. I’ve never dealt with such a rude representative before. They clearly are not dependable and don’t care if they send you the wrong order. If they think Lauren is an appropriate public face for their business, they have made an unfortunate error. She is rude and unhelpful.

They should be call Grand Theft Brass Lamp Parts. We ordered lamp shades that dont fit and wanted to exchange for the correct fitter size. They want us to pay return shipping for the return and then also pay a 20% restocking fee which they will not waive for an exchange. Learned a hard lesson - read the fine print and also go with more national websites who have better return/exchange policies or will work with you. Also, was left to hold for at least 20 min before someone answered the customer service number.

Called and ordered 3 LED light bulbs for my kitchen fixture. The service was perfect. Bulbs were ordered on a Thursday and I received them 2 business days later. With everything going on during this time it was a breeze and they made the process so easy. I did not have to get in my car and go out and waste my time. I recommend you order your light bulbs through them. No big box store hassle. Thanks Grand Brass.

I do NOT understand the negative reviews. We use them regularly for sockets, harps, finials, line cords and miscellaneous lamp parts. Always top notch. We are local and order the day before and pick up-during Covid just outside the door. Could not be happier with them.

Heres My Reasons I Give 1 Star.I was happy that My order came, it was well packed I wanted to commend the company for that. HOWEVER, I wasnt able to due to the RUDENESS of customer service.Before I called, I went through each item to realize one item was missing, I cross referenced each item on the receipt with the pictures on their website to make sure I didnt miss anything.6/16/2020 - I called the company, a VERY RUDE & FUNKY male answers.The call started out okay, then once I gave him the item number that was missing he starts claiming he finds it ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for Me not to have the item in question. WHAT??!!I told him: Im not in your warehouse/store, all I know I dont have the item SOL7090X4NP - MEDIUM BASE NICKLE SHELL 1/4 REM TURN KNOB SOCKET USES 3 WAY BULBS.He questions & states to Me: You mean to tell Me the guy who packed your order he didnt put item in the box, he had to go to 3 separate places to pack that item.Again I told him: Im not in your warehouse/store, all I know I dont have the item, Sir, ANYTHING is POSSIBLE in this world, I dont know maybe the item couldve fell on the floor OR was simply forgotten to be placed in the box. He was very argumentative at Me at the same time I was talking.Next thing I knew he hung up on Me. I never cursed nor insulted this male nor the business.I called back expecting to get another representative, the same male answered (This leads Me to figure this must be a one person operation). Anyway he said he will send another one, abruptly hanging up before I could ask/tell him anything else.So today 6/182020 I go to sign into My account to see if a tracking number was provided, My password didnt work, so I attempted to reset the password, the reset stated user name does not exist.The rude Fukker of a male deleted My account. For what??!! Over a $3 item??!! REALLY??!!I WILL NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Its possible these LAMP-HUSTLERS are in the business of also nickle and dime-ing people out of money $3 here & there, it ALL ADDS UP.

Horrible Customer Service!!!!! We had been a customer for 3 years and the last order we had was an order from hell. Unbelievable rude customer service. They took over a month to complete the order. I responded and an email from them the day after the order. The line went dead, no communication from the company. Then I sent 2 more inquires about the order, which went unanswered, I called and they acted as if they did not know anything about the order. Then they sent an invoice and charged an additional $200, I research the difference and they increased one item from 20 to 200. They then tried to change the order after I called. I called them back and the woman on the phone was extremely RUDE. Her view is the customer is always wrong. She indicated that we can get the $200 back after we verify their mistake (she stated they only send 20 like we ordered). Next Step is the better business bureau. I recommend anyone looking for lamp parts, RUN as Fast as you can from this business and find another place.

I see the bad reviews but my purchase couldnt have gone better. My chandelier needed a light socket and I thought I was in for a multi hundred dollar repair by a lamp store. Sure enough, I googled the part, found Grand Brass, and found an incredibly broad assortment that included the part I needed...and...the price was fantastic! In a few days, the part arrived in the mail. I couldnt be more satisfied!

I placed an order and knew I typo something but no one ever called or let me know order did not ship until today. I ordered last Wednesday. Upon entering chat with a Mike B and their customer support. I was made fun of for my card declining. He was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Im sitting here just trying to find my items somewhere else. I dont want to give 1 penny to this company ever again. I guess they have grown to large and forgot what customer service is. So I call in and find that mike b has deleted my order so the person on the phone cannot locate it. Does she offer to key it in a get it on its way? Nope, just tells me to go back to the website and enter it again. Meanwhile I have dozens of back orders so they can play rude. If you are looking to start business with them, dont. Their shipping is astronomical and they are the rudest company Ive ever done business with. The owner Mike B that was so rude on the chat, then disabled and cancelled my account. They obviously do not need business.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. What a complete rip off. The parts I ordered did not fit. It cost me 21.00 to ship it back to them AND THEY ALSO CHARGE A 20% RESTOCKING FEE? For what? To take the boxes out of the carton? Rediculous and definitely not good customer serviceBUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Ordered on Jun 17, got an email on Jun 19 saying my order is being reviewed, then an email saying my card was declined (impossible), then another email saying everything was resolved and being shipped today! On Jun 22, email wanting to know about the customer service! Now June 26, an email saying my package is ready to ship but the card decline on check out. I responded to the email requesting management to call me as I have no clue what is happening. A girl calls me and asks for my card info, as the product has not been shipped. I told her I needed this product before the long weekend, as a customer service gesture Grand brass should expedite the shipping, she said sure and would get shipping to send it out right now. 30min later another call from them, saying I asked for a call back. I informed this new lady I already spoke to someone, she said she will have shipping send out my product right away and with expedited shipping. Surprise, she tells me it is still pending and it is standard shipping. She is not willing to rush anything because it is my fault. I dont think they quite understand e-commerce. Dear Grand Brass, you take my order, decline my order due to Credit card, correct your error on my order and say you shipped my order. 2 week later you contact me and say my order is not complete because of my credit card...and this is my fault?

I just counted I have placed more than 50 orders with Grand Brass since 2017. They are great I have had very little problems with them and if there is they always fix it. I have been reading reviews and realize that a lot of people dont under stand that lamps are made with pipe size parts. If you dont know what 1/8 IPS, 1/4 IPS and 3/8 IPS are you have no place trying to order lamp parts. Just as an example 1/8 IPS has an outside measurement of 3/8 inch.

I had a GREAT experience here! Stopped by the warehouse, not realizing it wasnt a retail counter setup. The staff invited me in anyway, and the customer service was incredible. I wasnt sure what I needed, and Lauren took the time to educate me and seek out a solution to my fixtures issue. The fix was incredibly affordable, and Im thrilled, because my chandelier (from a speciality store) was not lol. Mike helped us create a second piece to the solution with a part I believe he said they werent officially carrying yet -- how nice is that?! Anyway, I learned a ton, everyone was friendly, and Grand Brass made a customer for life. Thank you!

I ordered a torchiere shade, five different styles of wire, a socket, a shade holder, four strain reliefs, a plug and a light bulb. I ordered after 11PM on Friday and my package was delivered in a snowstorm before 7AM on Monday; it was sent Priority 1-day, I didnt request any special shipping. Grand Brass has the best prices on nearly everything, believe me, I shopped around a lot. It was packed really solidly, my only complaint was the metal strain reliefs all being thrown in the same bag and the knurls scuff the smoother portions. The shade holder arrived and was poorly threaded (no, I did not cross thread it, its just cheap stamped metal), I didnt expect much for less then $3, but those two little things keep it from being a perfect 5 star experience. It should be noted, I did not contact GB about any of these issues, so I cannot comment on their customer service, I did not consider either issue serious enough. It would be nice if you could leave reviews on their products, the torchiere shade has obvious seams, which is pretty common for replacements, but is not obvious in their single picture on their site. Overall, a very positive experience. I will be shopping GB in the future for most of my custom lighting needs.

I worked with these guys for three years, but every time they sent something wrong, they got completely defensive, rude, and downright unprofessional. They often charge your card without asking, even when you ask them not to. I have finally cancelled my account and gone to someone who is a little more expensive. It is sad that I have had to do this, but I am treated WAY better now, and I actually get what I ordered.

Terrible customer service. Extremely rude, unorganized, and we often received shipments with no paperwork and no confirmations. We called the owner to work out some shipping issues, and he yelled over the phone and hung up before we could get a word in. If there were less stars to give, I would. Extremely unprofessional.
