While we ordered and thought we could install ourselves, we decided it was best for a professional to install it. We also ordered the least amount of reinforcement type which wouldnt do much for our strong diggers. Vic was super helpful to swap out the material we already had, and the installer was knowledgeable, polite and installed a beautiful layout. It was well worth the money for these two to be best friends! While they didnt get along when on a leash, it was amazing when they got to run around and play together. Vic and the installer were very patient with us! Cant wait to see how it holds up after more play time.
The fence is very cool because it can fit any shape backyard. Trees do not interfere because the installers can work with them. I have the black wire 6 foot fence to be coyote safe. Additional wire overlay is on the bottom to keep ground animals from squeezing through. The gates have held up well and it had no signs of wear and tear at 6 years old.The installers were great and patient as we worked at deciding the borders. The website is great because you can accurately figure out your cost. From a distance it does not appear like a fence because you can see through it. I do not feel caged in my yard! My dog has entertainment watching wildlife outside of the fence. I think electric fences are not safe because of outside wild animals like coyotes or rabid animals can come into your yard. Go to the website and all your questions will be answered.
Purchased the 7 Max Fence last summer for our two Siberian Huskies. Installed it myself with the help of some friends. Our ground is fairly hard, so we had some trouble getting the sleeves all the way into the ground, but it lasted through a New York winter. We were missing a couple of pieces from the shipment, but Vic was very responsive and helpful with solving the issue. He was also available for any questions I may have run across while installing the fence. Our dogs do like to dig, but have not even attempted to dig under the fence due to the dig guard layer. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to keep the view of their yard, and also have a secure fenced in area for their pets.
I have had my eye on this fencing system for a while and when I finally had a yard that needed fencing, I weighed all my options and purchased this system. I have not been disappointed! Installing the fence was doable with assistance. I purchased the 6 foot max fence and some parts were a little tricky to maneuver, but overall, I was able to install it with one person assisting me in a reasonable amount of time. More importantly, the fence seems very secure without obstructing my view, which was important to me. In addition, the area I live in is extremely rocky and this fence system provided the flexibility I needed to install the fence around rocks (boulders?) In the ground. Installing a chain link fence would have been much trickier and probably more expensive. My dog is so happy to have a yard to run free in and Im really happy to watch her run and play! Thank you!
This product is garbage. We purchased this about two years ago, installed it ourselves (the installation video is absurdly unhelpful) and have had nothing but problems. We have to repair it at least once per week. We have an Aussie/Brittany mix and a Pyrenees/Anatolian mix. They are super intelligent! Not only because they are obedient and fun-loving, but they have found any way possible to get out of this fence. They have chewed, jumped, and climbed it. I want to say this is NOT our first rodeo with fencing and dog care. We have been in the business/industry for over 15 years and we wanted to try something new. Terrible idea. I did speak with the owner last year to address our issues and he simply suggested we purchase the max fencing. Seriously?! He also suggested we did not install it properly. Oh, OK. We went out and reevaluated, and reinforced three of the four stand-alone corners, which werent the issue, but we figured why not! Same issues. Again, garbage product and a waste of money. Do yourself a solid and get a normal fence instead of this one.**Update: thanks for your reply! I’m not sure how you know about our dogs demeanor?! That’s hilarious. They are good natured. Maybe you mean they like to chew a lot? And thank you so much for your positive response and help after I left a poor review. Oh wait… no, you’re bitter and accusatory. Could have handled it differently, but yet again you’re of no help.**
Bought and installed by myself (w/friends) the Pet Playgrounds Fence kit in Oct 2013 to provide a fenced in back yard for my two rescue dogs. One was an escape artist, the other would follow. I covered about 1/3 of an acre integrating the fence into the surrounding structures (House, Garage and Brick Wall at the end of the yard) and large live oak tree. The posts were very easy to install, the only cement required were for the two large gates. It easily survived Hurricane Irma with no damage, unlike my roofs. I did have to redo the bottom wire due to the weed eater damage after 6 years. But this is Florida, we have to deal with mowing and trimming grass all year long so I wouldnt degrade my rating for that. The new material I would expect would last a lot longer.I love the open view the fence gives me. I didnt want a privacy fence, I wanted a fence to keep the dogs safe. My neighbor, brings her dogs over so they also can have a safe place to hang out also.
My Pet Playgrounds fence is amazing! I have a dog that chews and my second dog is 125 pounds. This is the only fence that can hold them. I previously had a wooden fence, and after a panel came down and I lost my dogs for 24 hours, I needed a better alternative. Thank you Pet Playgrounds for a sturdy, workable dog fence!
Andrew installed our entire fence in one weekend. He was polite, efficient, and knowledgeable!! We live on difficult, Rocky Mountain, terrain, and any other fence would be almost impossible to install. Our Siberian Huskies are usually escape artist, the additional fencing on the ground is really effective and they have not been able to get out. Our dogs love their new Pet Playground. It also does not block the view!
I purchased the Pet playground fence when my Australian Shepherd was 1 year old because he was a great escape artist. That was 4 years ago and the fence has held up over rough winters and my now 2 Australian Shepherds constantly testing it. I love that it gives my dogs the freedom they want and peace of mind for me. Great fence and awesome service!!
I LOVE my Pet Playgrounds Fence. It was the perfect solution for me.1. I wanted to fence in my yard without obstructing the view or alienating my neighbors, and it is pretty much hidden in the brush on the sides of my property, and where it goes along the lake view, you actually can hardly see it, which was a surprise.2. I didnt need a permit to put it up, as it is a temporary fence. Eventually I will move it down the bluff, so it is completely hidden, but due to the high Lake Michigan lake levels we are having erosion, so I dont want to do it now. Which is another great thing about the fence - it is moveable, so I can relocate the lakeside part later! Also, the leaves that you see in the videos that stuck to it came down pretty quickly.3. It keeps my dog Henry and friends in and the rabbits out - Henry is a digger and an occasionally successful rabbit murderer; most of the critters cant cant get in now. The squirrels still can, but most have decided it isnt in their best interest. And Henry has tried to get out and he absolutely cannot, unlike most of of my friends fences4. It only took 2 young, not-that-handy guys 2 full days to put up.So, Id highly recommend the fence. The longest part is putting up the gates. Frankly, Id like to put the fence around the entire rest of my property, and probably will at some point. Oh, and the sales and customer service was awesome too (I dont even work for them).
Overall very happy with this fence as an investment. I ordered a 5 foot tall, 600 linear feet fence kit for my large yard. It doesnt obstruct our creek-view at all, so we love that! We were able to use two trees in the yard as posts (see photos). My 160 pound Great Dane and 80 pound Golden Retriever are both very happy and havent tried to escape or jump, and they cant dig under it. Given, they do respond very well to physical boundaries, hence why I chose a physical fence over an invisible fence. Its a very smart system and looks great. It seems really sturdy and the DIY install was fairly easy. Customer service was slightly sketchy..ran out of hog rings and the owner said there shouldve been two boxes in my large order but there wasnt. I had already complained that everything arrived torn and ripped via freight..and the owner said the hog rings probably fell out during shipping. This put my install at a complete halt and the rings were supposed to be overnight shipped. I did not get them until the next Wednesday (called every single day multiple times hoping for an update and usually got I couldnt successfully transfer you over to a pet expert specialist every time. Thats the only negative aspect that I experienced. It was pricey, but it is so nice to open my door and let my dogs run free and not worry about them! We are renting a house too, so this was such a good option for us. I do recommend this fence to anyone who wants to totally customize the fence to their exact wants/needs.
Our Pet Playground dog fence has been one of the best decisions we have made for our dogs. We had had an electric fence for a number of years and from time to time the dogs would go over the line despite the shock collar. Our final day with the electric fence was when Lily our beagle breached the electric fence and was put down by the vet after being run over by a vehicle. My daughter and I installed the Pet playground (about 200 feet) in 3 days and our dogs love it. We feel confident and secure and our new puppy Freddie (@iamreadyfreddie on Instagram) and Pepper (our hound-beagle mix) are getting fantastic exercise in a safe environment.
I can’t thank you enough for creating this system! Finally, my 1 1/2 year old Husky - Ruffie - is able to do what Huskies NEED to do and that is RUN!I ordered 350 linear feet, and it took us only 2 days to get the fence up (I am still working on securing the dig guard and checking for gaps), and I’ve never seen Ruffie so happy!!Just this morning he ran full tilt into the fence chasing a bird and bounced right off (and kept running the other direction)! There was enough flexibility that it cushioned the blow and he didnt even notice it, but the fence itself barely moved!I also love how it blends so nicely into the background and doesnt detract at all from our view!Super impressed and would recommend this for anyone!!The smiles on my boys face say it all!
I bought the 200sqft layout for my cousins 2 American Stafford dogs to keep them secure while outside. Although these fences arent recommended to keep them contained for more than a few hours these 2 were out there full time for a year and with monitoring did not get out. They could not dig under, chew through, or climb over this fencing. Words can not describe how happy and satisfied I am with our purchase. It was undeniably expensive, took a while to put up, but was well worth the sense of security it brought me knowing these dogs would be safely fenced in. I highly recommend this fence for any dog owner who has a smart, rambunctous, escape artist in their care. I want to add that this company is also amazing at communicating, i had multiple questions throughout the process of assembling this fence and they answered promptly. 5 stars.
I first installed Pet Playgrounds fencing 6 years ago for my one dog that had at the time, and it worked great in terms of containing her, while blending into the trees and allowing me to enjoy the view of the surrounding greenery beyond the fence. I just moved to another property with my now three dogs, and I have installed it again, and I have to say the material is much better quality and much more sturdy! Fernando did an amazing job with installation.
We love the Pet Playground fence, as does our dog. It gives her much more freedom than the staked out lead she was previously attached it. As an Australian Shepherd, she is very active. She seems to respect the boundaries of the fence. She puts her paws on it but doesnt seem to want to climb it. And as they mention, it seems to melt into the landscape and not obstruct the view. Our only problem was pounding is the sleeves - but that is due to our rocky soil. It was tough but worth it as it still beat having to dig all those holes and set the posts.
We adopted a senior dog that had been tied up her entire life, so we knew we wanted to fence our backyard so that she could run free for the rest of her life. We had a few complications though. It is nearly an acre, much of which is wooded, it slopes, and has very uneven terrain. We also wanted something that wouldnt look out of place in a natural setting and didnt obscure our view of the river at the base of the slope. Pet Playgrounds solved every issue we had, and affordably! It easily adapts to uneven or sloping ground, it attaches to trees when one is smack in the middle of your fence-line, and it really disappears into the landscape. We installed it ourselves, as my husband is very capable of this kind of thing. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. It does take some brute force and mechanical ability, but two years later it is as solid as the day we completed it. I constantly recommend this product to all my dog owning friends, and being involved in rescue, I know many. When my old girl is no longer with us and we rescue more dogs, this fence will be a joy to have for the new kids!
Ordered this kit to build a fence for our dogs. Expected it to be a lot of work as with any do it yourself project. The instruction video and manual dont tell you how impossible it is to get holes in the gate poles to attach the corners. There are several other annoying details left out as you go through the process of building the fence. I would not recommend this product.
Love this fence! Easy to install. 3 sweet pitties. One is an escape artist...not anymore!
This fence is amazing. If you have a jumper I highly recommend as they are secure but without obstructing any views. I have had chain link, vinyl and e fences and this is by far the most secure. The customer service was also amazing and very responsive.
I am the owner of a small, home based doggie daycare. When shopping for a fence, I chose Pet Playgrounds because I wanted a durable, flexible, impenetrable and aesthetically pleasing fence. I installed the first fence myself, 6 years ago, and then an additional fenced area a few years later. These fences see @10 dogs daily, 5-7 days a week. We have dogs of all breeds, sizes, play styles and temperament. My experience with Pet Playgrounds has been overwhelming positive. Customer service goes above and beyond to provide fair, considerate, consistent and immediate help. They have always been highly responsive, and helped me in the planning, installation and occasional modification. They provided free replacement parts, and refunded/replaced items when a mistake was made.Pet Playground fencing has lived up to my expectations and wear and tear. Occasional maintenance is required and not difficult. From experience, and for dogs who are determined escape artists, I would recommend the 7ft max fence. The new max layer is truly amazing - the dogs don’t even try to chew it! Pet Playgrounds came out to repair some chronic trouble spots and add the max layer. The time, care, attention to detail and quality of work exceeded my expectations. It felt like Christmas!
Hi, We have had pet playground for over a year for our 2 Goldendoodles from the same litter. They are a year and a half now. Pet playground has kept them safe and secure. Victor is stupendous for support, advice, knowledge and helping with ordering. He called me right back on new years day and helped me be able to repair the fence. This past Sunday he got right back to me and sent me free hog rings. We only have great things to say about the fencing system. If you are using it for large dogs that have hunting in their genes I would go with the extra strength fence. We highly recommend Pet Playground fencing. Dean and Jean Julius and Caesar
This fencing system kept coyotes, cougars, and bears out of my backyard when I lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, keeping my dogs in a safe environment where they could enjoy being outdoors. Two of them are diggers and never could figure out how to dig under it. It is much simpler to install than other fences, and less work intensive. I highly recommend this fence! After I moved, I bought the fencing system for a second time, having left the previous one for the future tenants who had dogs. 😍
I love our Pet Playgrounds fence. The clever design gives me confidence and peace of mind that my rescue dogs are safe. The dogs have fun zooming around, exploring, and chasing each other. They get lots of exercise, which is great for them both physically and mentally. This fence is well worth its cost. I love that it is designed specifically for dogs.
We bought a PetPlayground for our golden retriever 4 years ago. We live in a wooded area with a lot of wildlife. Except for a tom turkey who had to be escorted out the gate, no deer, coyotes, etc., have gotten in to the enclosed area. Our dog will bury balls, but cant dig under fence. We also love that the fence does not block our view. We had a local landscaper install the fence. I recommend both the quality of the PetPlaygrounds product & the service support for any questions. Well worth the investment.
When we bought our house the fence was already installed but it was one of the best features of the yard! Our dog is part beagle and is prone to wandering off following a scent so this fence is perfect. We also love that it keeps the deer and groundhogs out so we can have a vegetable garden! Rafael just came and did a bit of a tune up on the whole fence for a very reasonable price and he could not have been more helpful and nice. He even offered to help me trim some branches that were hanging on the fence a bit! I highly recommend this company!
I have had Pet Playgrounds installed at my house for 5 years now and it has held up wonderfully! I have had many friends and family comment on how nicely it blends into the background so you hardly know it is there. The ease of install as well as the spectacular customer service has made this company and this fencing system something that I have recommended to countless friends and family, and Ive even helped a install it at a friends house and theirs has been up for 4 years and no issues. Plus it is significantly less than any other fence system we had priced out, and was nearly 1/2 the price of chain link!!Highly recommend this for anyone looking to not have to use electric shocks on their animals to keep them contained, because if you have never felt the shock of one of those collars...try it out...and youll be checking these guys out instead!
The fence was very easy to install. Best if two people install it if your yard is very large like mine. The fence itself seems sturdy.I like the look of it and the fact it blends in with the background. Only con was the hog ringer kept jamming..I would recommend this fence to anyone with a large yard and a small pocket.
Installed this dog fence a couple years ago myself, it was easy to install and it was more affordable than everything else I found .The icing on the cake was that it was incredibly hard to see my wife didnt even know there was a fence in the back yard. My dogs are incredibly happy and Im starting to train them outside which I thought might be impossible because they were so wound up until they got a place to run around. thanks it was the best investment I ever made for our dogs.Max and cookie couldnt be happier.
The process of installing is very time consuming. The instructions are very poor. The installation manual leaves out some very important information. When installing the no dig sleeves and you cant get them in the ground the full 30 depth the manual says you can cut the sleeves off as long you are able to get it atleast 50% in the ground. So I proceed to install the post per the manual and cutting some off to an overall length of 16-17 . What the manual doesnt tell you is their are indents in the post and if cut below 18 in length you remove the indents in the post. These indents keep the post up from sliding down too low in the sleeve. If you cut off the indents the post sits too low down and the fence height will be too short. When contacting the manufacturer and questioned why my post height wasnt the correct length I was told that I needed to put gravel down into the sleeve to bring the post back up to the right height. This is ABSOLUTELY no where in the manual or in the install video!!! When I questioned (Victor) from petsplayground on this, he said this only happens very rarely and they dont want to put this in the instruction manual because it would confuse some people!!!!!! This is just an insane Reason!! why tell people they can cut the sleeve if you are Not going to put this very important information in the manual. I waisted 5-6 hours trying to pull out the posts, the posts were already (plum/ leveled w / nails). Once the nails are in, it is nearly impossible to get them out to separate the post from the sleeve to put gravel in to raise the post. I spent many frustrating hours trying to fix this. Avoid this company, they might have a good product but the instructions and install video are very poor/ inadequate. Plan on spending many frustrating hours installing the fence!!Update: 2/17/21Just a comment on the owners response.Your installation video was watched many times before installing the Fence. At the time of installation You didn’t include this information in your video or installation manual. Not sure how people would know this if you don’t tell them.Overall the fence has held up well so far and I would recommend the product however beware of the poorly written instructions / video.
We love our dog area with the Pet Playground system. My husband and brother-in-law installed it in a weekend. We purchased one wide gate as well. Our dog enjoys the freedom and unblocked view of the entire lawn.
Pet Playgrounds was the perfect solution to our problem. We were looking for a humane product to keep our beloved pets contained in our yard, while also keeping them protected from other animals wandering in the neighborhood. Service from the company was excellent, pricing was very reasonable, and the job was completed promptly. I recommend this product for your pet needs !
We had a Pet Playground Fence installed about a year ago and we could not be happier. We had just adopted a new golden retriever puppy and wanted to be certain he couldnt leave the yard for his safety. We have deer and foxes in the area that are very enticing to chase, so any choice had to be very strong and effective, but I also wanted it to be as unobtrusive as possible. We had past experience with an invisible electric fence for an older dog, but it didnt keep the dog in, so we knew we needed something better for the new puppy.I was focused on both strong fencing and how it looked, since I didnt like the look of a chain link fence. The Pet Playground Fence seemed like a good solution because of its strength, but also its ability to blend into the landscape. Im so glad we selected this fence and highly recommend it to others. We chose a 5ft tall fence to enclose our back yard and added a gate to the back in case we ever needed to get out behind the property.Raphael came and did a fantastic job of installing the fence so it would be effective but also as invisible as possible. He pointed out a couple of vulnerabilities that he closed (like an open area under the deck). It has been really great and gives us wonderful peace of mind. In fact our only issue with the fence was of our own making. I had Raphael leave two small areas unfenced so we could have a wooden split rail fence installed. Then I used the mesh to cover the inside of that as well. I did not secure it well enough on the bottom and that sneaky pup found a way out! I made it more secure and everything was fine. Well, fine until a couple of months ago when we rescued a sweet, loving older husky mix dog from Puerto Rico. Hes very smart but also known for being an escape artist. Raphaels fence kept him safely contained (and believe me, he inspected every inch of that fence looking for a way to get out), but the only way out he found was (you guessed it) where I put the mesh over the wood fence. We have reinforced that part of the fence and I am happy to report that there have been no more escapes.I am so happy to have the peace of mind of the Pet Playground fence. Our two dogs love playing together in the yard and playing fetch with us.Its a great comfort to know they are safe and secure outside. And, as an added benefit, the rescue organization where we got our older dog would never have approved us to adopt him without a secure physical fence. Five stars, couldnt be happier.
Great products!
After viewing the video, I purchased the fence, but when I went to install it the boxes were incomplete. I had to purchase items from the hardware to store to complete the fence. Plus, the wire netting was too short to have have a 1 foot skirt. So, I had to improvise in order to ensure there was not a gap.
I didnt know what to think at first because I never heard of a non-electric dog fence, but it works much better than a wireless electric fence that would have shocked my dog hundreds of times. The fence is extremely strong, yet flexible. Im extremely happy with my kit. I was able to install it in just one day.
Why hadnt I heard of this company before, as it seems that most other people know about them! A FAR less expensive option than a traditional fence, and also more effective. No digging under it and I cant see how anything would climb over it. Great option for keeping your pet IN and unwanted animals/visitors OUT.
The Pet Playgrounds fence is by far THE BEST fence that I have used! Im a Golden Retriever breeder, so I have had LOTS of experience with different types of fence materials and their installation and use. The Pet Playgrounds fence has been the easiest to install, particularly with not having to mess with cement for posts. The fence had no problem standing up to my 11 energetic and enthusiastic dogs, even when wed play fetch and several of them would slam into the fence chasing the ball. The fabric hardly moved! The fence also stood up beautifully to our cold and very snowy Minnesota winter! This fence is also simple to remove and reinstall, as I had to do when moving it from my now former house and to a new dog boarding/daycare kennel which I just opened this past weekend. The company is also top notch in their customer service. I have called in a couple of times with technical questions (i.e. best way to remove and reinstall), or for ordering additional parts. Victor (one of the owners & developers of the fence) took my call personally, and was a tremendous help for what I needed.I wholeheartedly recommend this fence system - and this company. Take your time, follow the instructions in the installation video (on their website), and you will have a secure fence for your furbabies to enjoy for many, many years to come!
We originally had a 5 fence and found we needed to add 2 extensions. Staff worked with us to get the proper equipment needed to make this happen. You cant even tell extensions were used once done.
My 70 lb Schnauzer has chewed through the corner, bites at it until the little clamps come off and weaves in between the two layers until he gets out. Those clamps also rust. He also jumps the fence. Only thing I’ve found to be true is he hasn’t dug under it. I had a family friend who does fencing install it for me. I emailed asking for 9-10 extra feet of the panel that is on top, since they shorted me, and I never got a response in the email back in August 2017. As a single mother I don’t have a ton of money to waste. I was looking for a safe and affordable option, which just led to disappointment. I’m hoping to repurpose the material so I don’t feel like I wasted so much money.
I bought a DIY dog fence kit for my Labrador Retriever, Sally and she really loves it! Before she was on a very long leash, but she didnt have enough of a line to run. Now she has a large run area to poop, play, and I dont have to worry about her climbing or digging and getting out of her fence.
We purchased a new home, and getting a fence up for our three dogs was top priority. Five years ago we purchased our first Pet Playgrounds fencing system for our yard and it worked wonders for keeping everyone safe. In our new home, we have tons of trails and woods behind our property. We had privacy fencing along a neighbors yard however I did not want to lose the gorgeous wooded view and traditional fencing (chain link, wood, vinyl) concerns me with safely keeping dogs contained. With the wooden privacy fencing, I do worry about it being able to hold up and be able to contain everyone long term, whereas I do not worry about this with our Pet Playgrounds fence. We will add the pet playgrounds fence in the inside of our privacy fencing for peace of mind.As a certified trainer, I am not a fan of electric fences. Yes, that could have been the cheapest option and not impact our view at all. However, I do not trust them, nor would I use an electric collar on my dogs. I’ve had several clients contact me after the installation of electric fences only to have a dog that will still bolt through or even dogs that are too scaredto use their yard, for fear of being shocked again. Huskies are notorious for running through those systems, they also are great at climbing or digging under traditional fences. Timber is no exception to testing his boundaries, so I know he will be safe with our set up. Another point I try to stress to clients is, an electric fence will do NOTHING to keep animals out of your yard. I train all different size and breed of dogs in our yard. I needed a fence that could keep a tiny Yorkie from slipping under a fence or through panels, a fence that dogs can’t climb like a chain link and one that could handle my German Shepherd running into it while catching her ball. The Pet Playgrounds system can do all of that for me.We opted to personally install our fence again. It’s easy to install, and we knew we could get it up in no time.Jade Giuggio CPDT-KACertified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge AssessedPolite Paws Dog TrainingMadison, CT
Customer service rep was very helpful in purchasing a fence for our dogs.
I bought my fence in 2016 because I have a dog that is a master explorer. I love him so much but was so worried/ scared every time he went on an adventure. I bought 700 linear feet of pet playgrounds fence and have never been happier! I currently have two dogs and seven cats 🐈They all go outside to play and burn off steam, they are safe and very happy! I literally have my own dog park in my back yard. No wild animals can penetrate the fence thanks to the superior design. I would highly recommend this fence to all animal lovers❤️
A stellar product, that is extremely affordable. Weve had them come and install 2 fenced in areas on our property, and their installation services are top notch. The fence itself (we used max strength w/dig guard) has held up extremely well, even with our 2 100lb lab/dalmation/hound mix pups jumping up against it and running into it constantly over the few years since installation. In addition, the fence is also EXTREMELY easy to work with should you have to take it down or modify it. We recently had to remove a 100ft section to have some tree work done, and it only took about 30 minutes to take down, and about an hour to put back up (and its still just as strong as it originally was).Very highly recommended if youre looking for a durable, yet economical fence solution!
In response to the owners reply:If you look at any bad review he always says that person bought the wrong fence. That doesnt even make sense for ua because the fence never even got put up. How could it be the wrong fence? Unless the other fence us easier to install. Which also wouldnt make sense. And when you read my review you will see we DID read and watch the instructions. They were just incomplete and out of order. We would watch each step before doing it and while doing it. Things like adding bracing posts to the gate posts was no where in the directions. Some of the directions, we were told by the owner, no longer needed to be done because parts changed. Also we recieved extra parts, wrong parts and missing parts so it was hard wading through everything to figure out what we could use and what we needed to ask for. Yes he was responsive but not helpful and at some point we realized no matter what he sent us this fence was still trash.Original review:We bought this thinking it would be a cheaper way to fence our dogs in, rather than putting up a privacy fence. Plus it would give us peace of mind that our dogs couldnt dig out. Unfortunately this thing is garbage and not only did we spend almost $6,000 and 4 weekends of our time trying to install it, we now have realized it isnt anything that it promised so we are now having a privacy fence installed anyway! We tried to talk to the owner to give us at least some of our money back but he just kept saying we werent doing it right, that we were missing pieces, missing steps, any excuse he could find. We tried disputing it with PayPal (which was how we paid) they were going to refund us but we would need to ship EVERYTHING back. Thats not possible since the sleeves are smashed into the ground and the posts are in them and very hard to remove. Issues we had with pet playgound:Hard to installInstructions are missing steps, are unclear at times and jump around so you need to undo things you just did in order to do the next step.We were missing piecesWe were sent wrong piecesSome steps are no longer used but you dont know thatSome steps arent told to you ar allThe parts are flimsy (posts bending )When you add the tension wire all the posts start being pulled which means gate no longer closesThe owner said we forgot to add the gate bracing (that was never a step anywhere) so he sent us those peices, we did that and it still didnt workThere is no way to get this up in time to meet the return deadline so we are now stuck with $6,000 worth of junk, and still need to pay to have a privacy fence put up because our dogs need a yard! Do not buy this product!!
Got this system in November. We installed yourselves. We have to Golden Retrievers. We called the company to make sure we got the right thing. We watched the video and did it step by step. We even called several times to ask questions. The materials were cheap. The dogs have ripped the mesh and can now get out. I have made many phone calls to the company. They will only tell me it is our fault. And that a deer must have ran through the fence and ripped it. We live in a development. And I watched the dogs get out. Victor the owner hung up on me. He was very rude and called me a lair. Because I didnt have video. Sorry I forgot to pull my phone out and record as my dogs were running towards the high way. Victor, told me there was nothing he could do! Sorry but you are the owner. You can do what you want. What a joke!
We absolutely love our Pet Playground Dog Fence! I really feel our dog Mazie is such a great dog greatly due to her big safe back yard. We live near the CT river and have a lot of coyote traffic. I have personally seen my dog and the coyotes run back and forth along the fence. I can remember one time the coyote tried to jump the fence but since there is not top rail and the fence has flexibility he failed. The fence is resilient and has been tested by much bigger dogs than mine. The Pet Play grounds dog fence technology has been the talk of the neighborhood and with any one who visits since I installed it my self almost 2 years ago. Strongly recommend this fence!
If you have a lot of time for installation, this is a good fit. If not, hire someone or find a different fence. It will take a few weekends to install in rocky terrain, especially if the manual is outdated. Also, the customer service rep said that my wife had downloaded the outdated manual that was on their site a day prior.
We love our Pet playground for our 2 German Shepherds .Easy to install and the design is great, from a distance you wouldnt know it was there .
My two 70 lb puppies (one am staff/lab, the other a GSD/elk hound) have broken the fence. They have chewed through sections, broken open the gates, and even climbed over it...in multiple areas. They were able to bend the poles in the no dig sleeves with their body weight. When we first got the fence I had to call the company multiple times- the install instructions had changed, some sleeves didnt have the screw holes, I had to purchase nails to hold the poles in place (was told Id get a refund for that, but never did), etc. Originally I placed an inquiry call in March, waited a week and didnt hear back so I ordered and installed the fence myself. In July I finally got a return call, but by then I didnt need their help. I overlooked all of that in hopes of the fence being a lasting purchase. I am so disappointed. We havent even had the fence a year (got it in April 2017) and are thinking about replacing it with a better quality fence in the spring. What a waste of $3,000!! I should have just paid the extra money and had a regular fence installed the first time around. Save the money, time, and agrevation and get a difference fence.**in response to the company comment- I bought this under my maiden name. Order#1450, purchased march 23,2017.
Pet Playgrounds fence is fantastic! The dogs can play anywhere they want in the yard and my view isnt obscured. The installation was quick and the installers were very professional.
While we are still installing our fence, I am reviewing their customer service, or lack of. We placed an order online and never received a confirmation or invoice from Pet Playgrounds, just a confirmation receipt from Paypal that we had paid. After a week of not hearing anything, we emailed Viktor to check our order status. Its been 2 days and we have yet to hear from him. Thankfully we then received an email from Fedex telling us our order was being delivered the next day. We received the order, without a packing slip - some pieces were missing, so I called customer service and was told that someone would have to call me back. I have yet to hear back 6 hours later. Sure enough Fedex came back today with the rest of our order. I am hoping that the installation goes more smoothly than our attempts at customer service which has been very disappointing and frustrating.
Would highly recommend!
From start to finish, a very professional outfit intent on satisfying their customers. Fencing keeps what we want in and we don’t want out.
