Charged over $350 on 4/1 and then delivery truck shows up on 4/6 for another $350 delivery. Call to get it figured out - rude response, no apology. Turns out there was no prior delivery, must have been a different house but my acct was charged. Say they have to research it and no one gets back to me. Call 3 days later and they say theres now a credit on my acct (should have been a refund directly to my card). Still no apology for their mistake. I request to have my card removed from the acct, and they can bill me(others I know have this) and they say they dont think they can do that. Very poor customer service. Locked into a service and oil contract, otherwise I would cancel asap.
I always used a local company for fill ups, but wanted to lock in with someone this year. Due to my boiler being 2 years old now. I figured I should get a service contract. I made the mistake going with Apple. First off, they came out and cleaned the boiler as part of the service contract. The service guy could barely walk because of a hip issue. He was in such bad shape he had to go down my basement stairs backwards, I felt bad for the guy. But as I said the boiler is only 2 years old, and I never had an issue. Two weeks after they cleaned it, the boiler just stopped working. I called for service. They did get out very fast and fix it which was nice. However the answer I got for what was wrong was “had to make a few adjustments” so that was vague and frustrating. Secondly, when I first signed up they offer the first fill up at a discounted rate of $1.29 per gallon. I had 7/8 of a tank so I said I will call you when it gets low so I can fully take advantage of that price. They totally disregarded that and filled me up when I was at a little less than 1/2 tank. I called and voiced my concerned. I talked with Bob, he didn’t really show much care and I was told “my guys don’t let it get low.” So I proceeded to say that’s why I said I would call you guys for first fill up. He told me he’d honor the $1.29 for half of my next fillup. That fill up was the other day and I was charged full amount. Nothing but issues and winter isn’t even here yet. I can’t wait until my contract expires. I will be telling everyone I know to not go with this company.
A driver from this company almost drove into us several times. I have a newborn in the back and this driver appeared to be texting on his phone while driving on the highway. Please train your employees to drive safely.
Very knowledgeable on the phone. Booked an appointment for the same day. Gave us a great deal on fuel and a service plan. Taught me a lot during the initial visit, as this is my first experience with oil heat. Had our tank filled the same day. Annual tune up was booked very quickly as well. Every one I have spoken too has been great. I highly recommend this place.
Working with Apple Oil has been a great experience. My sons rented a house during college that used Apple Oil and based on that experience I changed my oil company to Apple. Their prices are always competitive, their service response is quick and thorough and the office staff is really friendly and helpful. If you are looking for the best company for oil heat, Apple is the one.
The other day I smelt a oil smell in the house. I ended up checking the furnace and noticed that the filter attached to the oil tank was leaking. Oil was on floor so I called apple to have a tech come out. The tech arrived and was concerned that the sump pump was in area. The tech came down with a flashlight but no tools. He shut off oil going to filter and he left saying they would be back next morning and have area cleaned up and replace filter. I received a call next morning but was out so my wife called them back and talked to the owner Sam. Sam said we didnt have the furnace cleaned for 7 or 8 years by them. My brother in law is in the heating business and cleaned the furnace a year or so ago. Apple oil refused to come out because someone else worked on the filter and now leaking. Apple oil called the DEP and told us they wouldnt work on it until DEP said everything looked OK. DEP called apple oil and told them everything looked ok and can replace filter. I called apple to see when they would come out and they still refused to come out. In the mean time I put down absorbing stuff to keep oil contained and filter started leaking again. The wife and I were very very frustrated and the whole house smelled like oil. My wife and I decided to call apple to cancel our auto deliveries and will go elsewhere. Get this, being a customer for 25 years doesnt get you anything but aggrevation and feeling helpless. I call apple back and was told to leave a message with owner so I did. About 20 minutes later we received a call telling me they are going to send a tech out to replace filter. So in summary after the owner being rude to my wife and no hot water from the day before and not taking care of the issue with the filter and it continued to leak oil which i contained and it only took tech 20 mins just to change a filter to make a customer happy. We are going with another oil company from this point on. I would have put a zero on this review but I have to put a 1.

This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Do NOT ever order oil from this joke of a company. I specifically ordered 125 gallons from them today because another company said they couldn’t bring it today. I told them I only was going to pay the 400$ for 125 gallons if they could bring it today. The woman who answered the phone who sounded like she smoked about 50 packs of cigarettes a day ENSURED ME that the oil would be delivered TODAY. I called them this morning at 9 am and they said it would definitely be delivered today and they took payment from me. Now it is 9:20 pm. After calling several times and talking to their answering service and the owner Tony himself. Tony said that he would make sure that I got my 125 gallons that I paid for delivered tonight. However this did not happen. The technician ( the same one who told me that this is how they do business and that they don’t care about the customers and that he didn’t care if I report them to Better business bureau and that he didn’t care and hung up in my face even though I told him I had my 3 year old in the house with no heat and it was an emergency and we needed the oil ) he hung up in my face and said that Tony lied and that they were only going to give me 10 gallons tonight and not the 125 gallons I ordered and PAID FOR. I will be reporting this corrupt business and I will never do business with them ever again. If you need oil call Forbes or a company that actually will deliver it and not take ur money and not pay. Tony and his company are crooks and I will make sure everyone knows.
We have been with Apple Oil since 1990. They have always given us promptly delivery and service. While away this winter when our tank would only take 7 gallons of oil they notified me by email of the lack of fuel used. I was able to have a friend make arrangements to have a repairman sent to the house. The furnace was fixed quickly and efficiently.THANKS APPLE OIL.
Been with Apple Oil for decades. Service is great. Prices are competitive. Yearly cleaning keeps the heating system working well and never an issue. Apple even installed a new furnace in 2008 that has been perfect. Not only was the job done fast (it was winter) but the project price beat others by a lot. No need to go elsewhere.
With a purchase of my home with oil, they were the first to offer their product as i was getting my family settled in. As with any move youre careful with your cash and cc. bullied into this set price i feel since i clearly told the salesman not to auto my card until they heard from me since i wasnt even in the house 3 weeks at that time and the weather was fairly nice..AND OIL WAS IN THE TANK. long story short..they turned my frown into a smile by allowing auto fills during the cold months with charges billed within 15 days and was very lenient with me catching up with the invoices. NOT TOO BAD OF A COMPANY..Office personnel need a bit of training with their customer service skills though.
Have used Apple Oil for years but recently this year been having a problem with the automatic delivery system. Two family house with two separate furnaces and tanks. During delivery they are only delivering oil to one of the tanks so I need to call for the other delivery. Not living at this residence so that means I have to drive there to check the oil levels. Not convenient.
We have used Apple Oil for the past several years, for both oil delivery and maintenance on our heating system. They are prompt, courteous, professional, and offer the best options for what we need. I highly recommend Apple Oil!

I had a very bad experience with apple oil today. they cancel out my contract with out letting me know. They say I used another oil company and they are right. I suppose to have automatic service, they will deliver when they think I need oil. In January my tank went down to a quarter, I called them the lady there said they will be out in 3 days. I waited a week and called them back the same lady said I will get somebody there in a few days. A cold snap were coming I could not wait and take that chance.I had to do something in case they want show up, so I called another oil company and got 150 gallons. 2 days later they showed up and top it off.After that they never showed up again. The man there today told me they dont service people who used other oil companies.
Weve lived in CT for 10 1/2 years. Weve had wonderful service from Apple Oil! Theyve always been very prompt with maintenance and have taken good care of our furnace! I would recommend them to my friends.

Apple Oil Company service technicians saved me in the middle of winter when i ran out of oil. He came and put some oil in and started our furnace in the middle of the night, within 1 1/2 hours after i called and left an emergency message. It hardly even got cold in my house! the very next morning a truck was here filling our tank at 6:15am!!I did not expect everything to be done so fast. I figured i would be freezing until morning. I will forever be an Apple Oil Company customer..... No matter what !!!
