Total Security did a really great job of installing a video intercom, and 2 door release, for our old 10 apartment brownstone. They are fairly priced, and I highly recommend them, as the installation was unique for our particular building, and they just did a really nice job with the whole installation.

Steer clear of them. They came in to make a repair on a intercom but ended up ruining the rest of the system and instead of running a diagnostic they only offered to replace it for over $9k. Therefore I called another company over for a second opinion and they were able to fix their mess for less then $500.

One of the best places to get all of your security cameras and work done on long Island hands down, I recommend them to all retired and active law enforcement officers to do your install work. They did a wonderful job at my home.

Total Security was the 4th company we talked to, for a quote on adding cameras to an existing system at a commercial building. They were the best by far - the others recommended entire new systems but Total Security could just upgrade the box, keep the existing cameras add 3 more and all for less than the competitors trying to charge more for entire new systems. The new box increased the image quality of the existing cameras so it is like a whole new system. The app interface is so much better than what we had - the whole thing is a huge improvement. And they offer lifetime tech support which is a great bonus.Working with Total Security was great, too. The salesman from the NJ office, Tom, was professional, personable, made the effort to consult with his team because our building had some tricky aspects to it. The installation team came from NY (Sean & Scott) and they went the extra mile - willing to work in a crawl space, working patiently around & through occupied offices, making sure everything was done as best, clean and effective as possible. Took all day but they did not charge extra. The proposal was for the job, not the hours. It just took the time it took to do it well & right. I was impressed. I dont even think they stopped to eat! They worked hard and well.

Our experience with Total Security began with owner Matt when he responded to my online inquiry for information in less than a minute. His salesman Gus came out the next day right on time and made us feel comfortable and confident in Total Security.A few days later the system was installed by Wilbert who was very respectful and professional. I was looking for a security company to install security cameras outside of my home. I called a few companies and decided to get an estimate from Total Security. I was very impressed with their security system that I decided to have three security cameras installed around the outside of my home. The Total Security installers did a great job installing them. They did a terrific job of hiding the wires out of sight and hooking up everything to my router. From the first meeting with Matthew to completion of installation, everything went really well. The 2 techs that did the work were diligent, courteous and worked very neatly. They were persistent when running into glitches getting the app installed on all of our various laptops, cell phones etc, but in the end everything is working perfectly. Tech support was also really great in getting us all set up. Three years after purchasing our new home in College Point Ive finally decided to install a security camera system. Ive purchased the equipment online and at first I was thinking about installing it myself. However I could not figure out how to run the wires without exposing it. Therefore after some research I reached out to Total Security and decided to have them install the system for me. At first I was kind of skeptical why installing eight exterior cameras on a residential building with siding would cost more than Ive expected but I still went along with it because of their impeccable reviews and I want it be done right by professionals and in the end, Im glad I did choose Total Security. Matt, the owner of the company came to my premises on the same day Ive contact them for the estimate and site plan. He was very friendly and explained to me in details how they will accomplish the installation. On the appointment day crew member Angel and Kenny came for the installation. They were very friendly and well mannered. The installation took the whole day approximately 8 hours and after seeing their professionalism and installation skills, Im glad I didnt attempt to install it myself because I could have never pulled it off. They did such a marvelous job running the wires beneath the sidings that it was seamless. You couldnt even see any wire part of a wire expose outside the siding. Im so glad with the job they have done. If I would have done it myself, all the wires and cable would have been hanging outside and very visible and it would defeat the purpose of the whole installation because outsider could have easily disconnect all the wiring. Anyways, Im writing such a long review because I just want people to understand that installing a security camera system correctly to protect your home or business are critical and trusting professional installation company such as Total Security would be your greatest investment. Anyone needing a security system or a surveillance system, I would highly recommend Total Security. Not only did they get the job done quickly and did a great installation. I meet with the owner Matt (by the way very easy going person and super nice) to get a quote from them for installation of the 16 cameras. The price is fair, reasonable. I am a home owner and I had Total Security install a camera system one month ago.They did a fantastic job. I wanted a wireless system but they suggested I go with a cable run system for better picture quality and no interruption in video. It was the right move, I swear you cant see one cable, it looks wireless, its awesome. Total Security fixed our home video security system after we had a close lightening strike that knocked out two cameras. Rather then push us to purchase a new system, they were able to replace the cameras within 1 hour of arriving to my home. These new cameras are better then the existing cameras, better range and better clarity. The technicians were extremely efficient and did a great job.

I have been very happy with my surveillance system installed by Total Security six weeks ago. The equipment and software are very dependable. Ivans installation went perfectly. He was patient and concerned about my complete satisfaction with camera placement and the running of the wires. He explained all my options and was happy to provide what I thought to be the most aesthetic option even though it was the hardest for him. What could have been an overwhelming process was very comfortable for me. Alex, also an installer, came for a follow-up visit when there was some confusion regarding settings options. He was completely knowledgeable and helped me fine tune my settings to my satisfaction. The software has some nice features and I only experienced the server being down once for a couple of minutes. I highly recommend Total Security.After several estimates from different companies Matt (owner/salesman) was the only one to come with a brochure of all the different cameras they supply therefore I was able to google them and make sure it had everything I was looking for in the camera.He was very knowledgeable and gave me many options.As far as the installation goes it was flawless. They showed up in the morning with 2 Technicians and a Foreman to set up the job.Leo and Camellio were the Technicians. They were able to pull back pieces of siding from the house and hide all the wires without knowing anything was disturbed. All wires in the basement were secured neatly and any excess wire was coiled up and taped together above my drop ceiling.From beginning to end it was a great job well done.If your looking for a security system to be installed I highly recommended Total Security.I feel they treated my home like it was theirs.

We had Total Security do an indoor/outdoor surveillance camera/system for us. They came over, quoted it out, showed us our options, and scheduled the install. The install was 2 days and was done properly and professionally. We are very happy! The technical service is also a bonus. They have people you can call after thew work is done for help with the app and software.

Total Security operates with 100% professionalism. With in a months time, these cameras have assisted the FBI with a 6 month case of slashing tires and stalking. I had Total Security install three outside property cameras recently. They did an excellent job concealing all wires and seamlessly integrated it to my smart tv and iPhone. Quality of the cameras seem pretty good. Very responsive with questions and service.

I had a great experience with Total Security.I needed a third party camera system installed in my house, and I needed to come in under budget, and Total Security delivered.About me and this job, I already had the camera system (DVR, Cameras, Monitor, Wire), some extra components (power transformer box), and I had some specific ideas of how I wanted the cameras run. This is in contrast to someone that just wants cameras, and has no idea what kind of equipment they want, or how they want it installed.About the house, the house is new construction, metal framed, multi-floor, but with some limited duct space between the floors.I submitted a request for quote through their website in the evening, received a call back the next day. On this day I spoke with the owner. I was scheduled to meet a sales agent the following day.Sales came out and quoted. Total Securitys quote came in around mid price range for all of the quotes that Ive received. They werent extremely low, but they came in under budget, which was the most important part.I was quoted as needing to have as many as three installers come out for as many as two days. It turned out to be two installers for two days.The next day, I received a call from office, where they wanted to schedule the field manager to come check out the house. The field manager came out and looked over the house, and I communicated my requirements. During this time, a lot of pictures were taken to prepare the installation staff.On the first day of the install, the installers arrived on time, and we started going through the house again. I explained what I needed done, and they figured out the best way to approach the cabling runs. They ran 4 runs in the morning, then in the afternoon ran into issues getting the cable installed the way I wanted due to some structural constraints (metal beams blocking access.)On the second day, the installers finished up the cabling runs in the morning (working around the problems with the structure.) They mounted the cameras, aimed the cameras, and sealed the installation boxes. They were very clean, and hauled away all of their trash.All of the staff throughout the process were very professional and courteous, and I have no complaints with the service at all.The day after install I was contacted again by the owner Matt, and he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the work. As I provided my own camera hardware, Im unable to comment on their products, but their service was top notch. They exhibited a good level of professionalism, attention to detail, and care during all aspects (quoting, planning, installation, and post installation follow up.) Id highly recommend Total Security for a security camera install.

A few years ago we installed one of those costco specials security systems in and around our restaurant. It was a lot of work to install, the wiring per camera only went so far, and the picture quality was mediocre. Within a month or two the cameras started blinking out, going frizzy, whatever, they were no good.Total Security came in and set up an amazing system with high quality cameras. They were neat, efficient, caulked or covered whatever small holes were drilled, even spray painted certain things to match.I can now keep an eye out when Im not there via my phone or tablet, and it helps me rest easier. I definitely highly recommend Total Security!

I dealt with Bill Pincus from Total Security to get my system installed. I upgraded my system after he told me that the store had display of cameras. at the store I met the owner and he was very courteous and helpful in my buying decisions. Made appointment a weak later guys came to my house and did a great job installing and setting up my system. Bill even stopped in to make sure everything was up to my standards. Had one little issue after install but owner corrected right away. I would recommend this company for your security needs.

I have only great things to say about Total Security. I initially met with Steve Krasner, a great guy, who did my home inspection and told me exactly how many cameras I needed. I initially thought I needed more cameras, however Steve advised me on exactly what I needed and he was right. Steve is a very pleasant individual and easy to talk to, my 2 yr old son and him got along very well.I was pressed for time because I was going away in 2 weeks; Steve assured me that he will have the cameras installed by then. One week later installation day came and two technicians arrived at my home (Alex and Dan).Alex and Dan were very professional and completed the instillation in a timely manner. There work was very neat and clean.At the end of the day all my cameras were functional with exceptional video quality. Apps and video monitoring works flawlessly on apple products, however, not so well on android, for some reason android video monitoring app is glitchy. I’m working with IT for a possible fix.The next day Steve showed up and made sure I was happy with the installation process and video surveillance system.In summary, I would definitely recommend Total Security, the have a great support staff.
