Was a little skeptical due to the reviews of this place, but upon further investigation it appears most people had a concern with timing. I decided to take a chance and give them a call and they got my quad in and out in a day with a full service. I was extremely grateful for their quick turnaround and will be using in the future.
My bike is older and they had issues getting running correctly. But they did everything they could. The owner was awesome. He even gave me a ride because my bike died on me. I would suggest this place to anyone. It took them a while but that was also understandable.
This shop hands down ROCKS most friendly people ive met on my trip so far stop and see them for all ur toys needs... Ten stars
Very difficult to get a hold of someone for an update - finding out some of the work you asked for did not get done - I had my machine in there twice and the problem could not be found or duplicated - they did run a tanks of gas out each visit. Not sure I would go back for service.
Tried to contact them through email, text and finally contacted front desk and was promised a call back after he got out of a meeting, never happened. Duff Shelley mower and cycle is great service. Its where we bought are 2021 KRX 1000. Good ol boys that treat you right! As far as southpaw RUN
These guys were amazing! They were professional and stuck to the time frame they gave me. They did a tune up and fixed a caliper a few weeks back and now my motorcycle rides like a dream! Its the best I have felt my bike run in years. Thank you to all of you!! I can finally ride again this year :D
Don and Autumn are awesome! Answered all the questions I had and helped me out a ton!
Nice People, Great Service. Will return in future.
The folks at Southpaw are fantastic. I usually go over my bike after getting it back and make sure all bolts are up to torque, tires are at correct pressure as per manufacturers specs, etc. and have almost always been disappointed that the work wasnt done properly. When I got my bike back from Southpaw after new fork seals and tires I was pleasantly surprised to find everything done to Yamahas specs and the bike was ready to head-out on my trip and the prices were very fair. I felt they were good from all their reviews, but now I know. Southpaw has my business from here on out.
Honest, quality work, and great customer service! At the end of the day I felt like I got a great deal for what I paid for. Thank you Southpaw Motorsports! It was my first getting my bike serviced here, and Ill definitely be coming back.
This place is Great / good service and customer care, Theyre very honest and what I was charged was very fair as well, please keep up the outstanding service, Austin and Don are very knowledgeable.
Great good people
I recently had my father’s motorcycle serviced here, the bike now runs great. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because it took just over 2 weeks to get done. I understand that they are extremely busy, but when I had first called about getting the bike serviced I was told that it would take 9 days. Otherwise great service
Great place, they realy know their stuff.
Just Had SouthPaw motorsprts do some maintenance on my four wheeler, they were very nice, quick turn around and it runs a lot smoother, fair price, thank you SouthPaw!!
Great place in West Jordan for motorcycle repair.. parts..!!!
One of the few places that will work on carbureted street bikes. Not cheap but not terrible. Told me it would be 2 weeks until my bike would get looked at and it took slightly longer but nothing extreme, about a month from the day I brought it in until I picked it up. Their work was high quality and the bike runs great. If you need carb work done I would highly recommend them.
Justin was great yo deal with and gave me a fair price on the trailer I bought from him
These guys are great! Justin and his team are knowledgeable and always do fantastic work at reasonable prices. I’ll trust them with all my machines. I drive up from Utah County and it is well worth the drive.
Wouldn’t ever go back drove a 4 wheeler from southern Utah dropped it off in July it’s now November and I still don’t have it back told them what the problem was they quoted me 104 and now it has jumped to 218$ they have never called me to let me know anything so I just have to wait until ? To ride my wheeler again will find a different shop with at least a working phone I understand being busy but come on
Honest and knows there stuff. Highly recommended.
I am a little disappointed with my experience with Southpaw Motorsports. Allow me to start from the beginning. I called them before riding my bike to their shop to discuss labor prices and was quoted the amount per hour. When I arrived, I was given a more expensive quote because of the age of my bike. Nice bait and switch.I gave them a very detailed description of the issue with my bike, and told them that it was an intermittent problem and may not show signs of failure until 1.5 to 2 hours of riding. I was told that they would inspect the bike for potential mechanical and electrical issues. The mechanic called me and said he took the bike out for 45 minutes, and it didn’t show any signs of a problem. Well, no duh! No inspection of spark, fuel contamination, etcetera etcetera.I basically wasted my hard earned money to have somebody ride my bike and then tell me that they couldn’t find any issues with it. This was not the expectation I had when dropping off my bike and I was led to believe that they were going to do more than just take my bike on a joy ride.I should’ve read the other negative reviews before taking my motorcycle to this place. Unfortunately, I will no longer recommend Southpaw to anybody I know. If you are reading this review, please consider my experience with this business and look elsewhere.
Fast & Friendly service always here. I highly recommend and will not use any another repair shop. Justin is just too amazing!
Ordered a spare tire and rim for ATV. Was quoted about $120 something. That’s not bad. Paid $60 for half down and it was ordered. Told a week. Went in week and a half later and still wasn’t there. Finally came in almost 2 weeks and price was $80 more than quoted. Said something about tire tax and labor. I won’t go back.
I have never met a more reputable, honest, and fairly priced establishment in my life!I was told from someone else that my 2007 Yamaha V Star 1100 would need a carburetor rebuild for an expensive price. Justin found that this was not the case at all, and did a simple fix after just a few moments on my bike! I live in Eagle Mountain but will gladly make the trekk to keep Southpaw as my go to place. If there were more than 5 stars..I would give them. Keep up the great work. You can trust that this place will be fair and honest. No surprises. Man! What an incredible experience. Get in early; they have a wait for a reason. The best around. You wont be sorry!
Good place
Southpaw Motorsports – Top notch guys here! The atmosphere of this shop is pretty cool! It has a very different feel from dealership service centers, just a group a friends working on toys for other friends. They are local guys in a local shop working for themselves, doing what they can for the customer and not trying to please any dealership or brands. I have taken several of my machines over the years to Southpaw, and I’ve been completely satisfied each and every time. Their quality of service is awesome, and the prices can’t be beat. The guys at the shop have been very helpful in helping me keep my equipment running it’s best. They keep a decent selection of maintenance parts in stock, and if they don’t have it, they’ll get it in for you very quickly. I recommend any and all to shop here and have your machines serviced here, they do excellent work and help keep me enjoying my time on my toys!
These guys are clowns.Took over a MONTH to do something that should have been done in a week at the most.Tried selling a bike and didnt even take one minute to clean it.Wouldnt start when we picked it up!? How the heck are you going to sell a bike that you cant start?Id go anywhere else in town, but never here again.
They did a fantastic job.
Skilled, honest, technicians. Always backlogged, but they will do their best and work extra to get you out of a urgent repair situation. They will never over charge you from my experiences with 2 three wheelers, 1 DT175 Enduro dirt bike, and 1 Yamaha Warrior 4 wheeler over the years. Thank you all at Southpaw Motorsports!
Tunes my bike runs amazing! 5 stars.
Very cool
Love these guys!
Customer service was GREAT. They were very helpful in repairing a flat same day at a very busy time of the season. All other shops were booked and although Southpaw was busy, they stayed after just a little bit after hours to repair my flat. Thanks for saving my dirt bike trip!
Very rude! Tried talking to them about my generator and asking them questions, wouldn’t even come out and listen to it. Said I had to pay $40 fee to even get on the wait list, they claimed they were 3 weeks out, and then who knows about parts, that could be another 7 days, unless I wanted to overnight the parts... i finally walked out on all their excuses because they clearly didn’t want my business. It’s one thing to be busy, but another to treat customers like this. Had they handled this differently, they would still have my business, but they obviously don’t have their customers needs at heart, and with me being SUCH an inconvenience, I will never be back. Do not recommend
The parts store has one of the worst costumer services the old crew that work there was way better in my opinion
GREAT SHOP!I have multiple bikes and had them all serviced at southpaw, great customer service and the work they do is way better than any other shop, and they charge half what the dealer would charge for services. keep up the good work guys ill keep sending you business.
Thank you! They got my bike running great. Fast and easy. I wont go anywhere else. Everybody I know loves their work and recommends them.
I rarely leave reviews, good or bad. However, this business is dishonest and does not stand by its customers. My husband contacted this place for a repair quote for his motorcycle. The woman said the labor would be $175 and the parts would be $15 to $20. All total, she said it wouldn’t be more than $200. After the repair was complete, my husband received a phone call from Justin saying the motorcycle was ready and that the cost was $340. Surprised, my husband said he was quoted $200. Justin then said that the woman didn’t know what she was talking about and that she misquoted the parts. Instead of assuming responsibility for the ineptitude of his employee, he stood by his price of $340. After my husband talked to him for 30 minutes, a waste of time, Justin had the audacity to offer 10% off the bill in order to keep our business in the future, which is just insulting. Justin also said that this was not the first time that this employee had misquoted. So he is well aware of her incompetence, but he does nothing about it and sticks his customers with the consequence. And if $140 doesn’t seem like a big deal, to two teachers it does, and it is the principal of how you treat customers and run a business.I have never worked with a business that is so blatantly incapable of quoting and holding to it. Needless to say, we will never work with Justin and his scam of a business again. We will also be submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I hope that this loss of business is really worth $100 to him. We have several other things we need work on and several friends that do as well. Justin has lost out on thousands.
Took my roadstar 1600 for some routine maintenance. Justin took great care of my ride. Even ran down a pesky oil leak in one of my cooling lines. But the topper was when I picked up my bike, he had even lubed my kickstand. Wonderful attention to detail. Will definitely be back.
Justin is the MAN he is awesome we had a hard time figuring out what was wrong cause a shop in Montana screwed it vut Justin was in it he worked hard and gave me a small but really appreciated made me feel good and I will always take my bike here
Great shop! If there is one shop where Id have my dirt bike rebuilt this is the place!
Went there to get a set atv grips had some that I liked so I bought them and walked out the door and then I saw they had some defect that I didnt like so I walked back in the door and when I tried to return them they charged me a 25% restocking fee for the 2min I had them do not recommend this place!!!!!
Went in to buy a valve shim. I do all my own service and rebuilds just need parts. Small parts like this are common in every shop as they are needed to service just about every small engine. They were close so I drove over. I was told they dont have any shims, none. How on earth can a shop that does service not have these parts. They must do lousy service if they cant shim vavles.
My bike had sat for a solid 3 years and wouldnt start. They did a carb clean, gas tank flush, chain lube and tightening. They also checked the oil, the air filter, and spark plugs. I wish I could remember the techs name to give him credit, but he had advised of the possibility of extra charges depending on what showed up when they got in there with the carb, spark plugs and filters, but didnt end up charging any extra on the original quote so everything must have checked out fine. Sometimes you wonder with places if theyll charge you for the extra stuff even if it doesnt need it so I feel like I should let other people know of my experience that it wasnt the case here. All in all it was $360 which I felt was about as good as I couldve asked. I got a quote for $400+ at differently highly rated shop on google maps not too far from this one.
Very conscientious about the money that Customer has to spend, went out of his way to try to keep the bill as low as possible.I definitely will be using them again in the future it is hard to find a honest mechanic.
Idk what holly hendersons problem was i was quoted a price and they stuck by it. Not only did they stick by it but they took money off because i said i would just take the tires back. Amazing service and the squeezed me in on their already tight schedule these guys (and gal) are amazing so suck it holly henderson
This place sucks, I wouldn’t take my kids Fisher-Price bike to this shop.I took them a set of shocks off a banshee to be rebuilt in November for my sons Christmas present, they said no problem it should only take a couple weeks to do and the quote was under 500 for all three shocks. They finally called me today January 10 for the first time on there part and said it would be 660 for just the fronts and they couldn’t do the rear so obviously I said never mind and went to pick them up. They charged me 80 dollars to completely waste my time.No customer service at this shop what so ever I won’t be taking anything there ever again.
Great customer service, great work, great prices. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN !!
Theyre so friendly and great to work with.
Its ok I guess, a little expensive, I dont see why they have to charge 10 and 20% more if your bike is 10 or 20 years old. also if you need a part most likely they have to ordered and takes about a week. but other than that is fine
Great service and very easy to work with. Very reasonable pricing.
I took my CBR 1000RR in to have my back tire changed, also ended up replacing chain and rear brakes.. The staff was friednly and knowledgeable.. also they didnt mark up parts like so many places do and they charged a fair price for labor.. I highly recommend them they fit me in even tho they were busy too thanks Southpaw!
When we originally dropped off our motorcycle the lead time was 5 to 8 days. After 2 weeks we called for an update and the lead time now was another week. After 3 weeks we finally picked it up amd went someplace else. There are other places to go if you want to ride this season
Drop off 3 weeks later still had not looked at my machine
Customer service was great and the mechanic did take time to come out and talk to me when I dropped off my bike. Very professional!!
Excellent place for motorcycle and ATV maintenance and repair. They can get busy so take yours in early for a popular weekend.
Its funny how Jeramey and I met. We were lined up at a race over ten years ago right next to each other on the same bike. Having a few minutes to chat before the gate dropped we started talking about how we were liking the new Honda and what each other did for training. It soon became apparent that we had a common friend and that this friend of mine was passing on ‘hot tips’ to me that Jeramey was giving him! Jeramey has worked on my bikes ever since when the work gets too complicated for me or when I mess something up trying to do something too complicated for me... which doesn’t happy much anymore because I’ve found Jeramey. Jeramey is the only person I trust to work on my bikes.
Ive taken many vehicles into Justin and he always does a great job for me and my machines...fast, friendly, courteous and very reasonable pricing.
Took my KLX 450 in for service quality work and very reasonable on price. Not to mention Quick Service
This place is a joke. I took my bike in to get fixed and Justin said he was confident he could fix it. After 2 months he didnt fix it and never called to give updates as he said he would. Every time I went in he claimed he was working on it that day yet he made no progress and completely wasted my time and money. I went in literally 5 times in two months because he wouldnt call me back. If they cant fix it, tell customers so they can find another solution. Similarly, if they dont have the time to work on it, just tell the customer so they can take it somewhere else. Justins lack of skill is one thing but deception and lack of integrity make this bike shop the last place you want to do business.
They did a great job converting my razor to street legal. Fair priced and quick.
I like the parts center. Very helpful . Thanks
They had my bike for five weeks when they said two weeks then didnt do anything to the bike and charged me $100.00 for it. Not highly recommended!
I have been taking my off-road bikes to Southpaw for a few years for tune ups and general service. Our bikes are older model Hondas and Yamahas, and they have been able to keep them running well. They do a good job, and they do it in a timely manner. Note: They are busy, and they often take 1-2 weeks to get to a project. But they are clear about communicating the timeframes.
Great service and great people. I keep going back.
Complete garbage. Just wasted my time and made false agreements just to sell the bike that I was planning on driving an hour up to go buy, the day before I was scheduled to be there. Obviously no class or care. This place is a joke, you can tell just based off other reviews you could see that, even if you were blind. Thanks Justin
Great prices and fast service
Waiting to see if I get my machine back. And I will be looking it over to see if they did things to specs
Delivered my bike to the wrong address. Will update if I get my bike picked up and delivered to the right one. I don’t know how some one could mix up 2 addresses when I specifically told them to not deliver it to the one where it is just sitting now.
These guys are the furthest thing from recommendable. I am not one to leave reviews good or bad. This is my first review I have ever left because the service and people were terrible. I had my bike taken in for a regular carb cleaning and tune up. After the 2 1/2 week wait I finally got my bike back and found myself stranded the very next day. One cylinder wasnt firing so I call them and they have me bring it back to only be put in the back of the line because Justin didnt do things right the first time. Another 2 1/2 weeks go bye after being told it would only be 10 days and less than 7 days later I was stranded again. Same cylinder wasnt firing. When I brought it in the 2nd time I asked if they even checked the carbs and Justin told me, no, the carbs arent the problem. He claimed it was some plastic piece that had to do with emissions. So when I asked about repair for the THIRD time they said I would have to wait at the back of the line AGAIN until they could get to it. Half the summer is gone at this point! I chose to pay out of pocket to have a real mechanic look at it. He pulled the carbs apart to only find that Justin didnt even put the jet back into the carb when fixing it. It was nowhere to be found and that wasnt the only problem. The filter hadnt been cleaned at all like they were supposed to do during the tune up. They have lied time and time again saying they did everything correctly. My bike has run perfect since the real mechanics, who dont cut corners, put everything back together. I wouldnt recommend these guys to anyone. Stay far away!
Good price, quick service.
I made an appointment to have my bike fixed and they went out of their way to make sure that my appointment was made.
Had them perform a diagnostic on my motorcycle, not sure what they did waited a month to bring it in on the waiting list and took two weeks to get it back, got a flat tire due to a work tube on my way home.
Quick and easy to schedule with
Not very good service. Sells vehicles out from underneath you.
Great people
