Great little meat shop. Love talking to the guys behind the counter. They are willing to do great custom cuts. Some fantastic beef! The Lumberjack wood is fantastic. The Kinders rubs I have tried are great.

Wheres the Beef? It is becoming hard to find good quality meat anywhere and with Dons your not getting the Pink Slim others are adding to enhance the color. We bought a box of Buffalo burgers and smoked a few the other night. My daughter ate the whole thing and that doesnt happen often. Havent had a bad cut yet, just wished we could get a package deal, but even they are having a hard time getting meat.

I was tired of super market quality steak. I wanted to cook something restaurant quality. I got their New York strip for Memorial Day and I was so impressed. Ten times better than anything I’ve bought a grocery store. I’m never going anywhere else for quality meat. Possibly not even a restaurant!

We’ve been going to Don’s since they’ve opened. We get all of our BBQ meats there. A great place to pick up smoker pellets and meat in one place. Staff is great and friendly. My dad loves their hot dogs. Their burger meat is great and their ribs are awesome.

Good customer service, quality meat for sure but a bit pricey. its one of those places you go to when you are willing to spend a good amount of money for some quality stuff.. best burger patties btw

I was getting my car serviced at Speedway and walked over to Dons. I ended up buying a 25lb. bag of flour, that Don offered me a great price on! The guy that rang me up, (I didn’t catch his name, darn it)! He asked if he could put the flour in my car. I said, “well my car is actually a couple of buildings down.” He said, “no problem.” and carried my flour to the service station, went into the bay and put it in my car that was being serviced! Nice people ever!!! I have always been pleased with the quality of the meat at Dons, and I also love their spices/rubs, etc. as well! If you haven’t been, it’s a great place to check out!!!

Not a whole animal butcher, which is what I prefer. LOTS of frozen products. Limited fresh cut options in the case. I also asked for some specific cuts of meat and they were unwilling to provide those cuts saying we dont do that. But if you want some precut meat, or frozen products, this is the place.

I go in here very often. They are always more than happy to help with any questions. Extremely friendly.

Not having orders ready to fill in hand can be a nuisance, but fine. I can work with that, I just have to plan ahead. What is unacceptable however is not filling orders on schedule at all. Ive encountered this issue multiple times. The first was when I asked for chicken thighs but was told chicken thighs werent popular and they would have to delay my order (this was after 3 or 4 days after making the order and the day prior to picking the order up). Okay, fine. Maybe this is true and orders can be delayed due to asking for an unpopular item. However after putting in an order 5 days in advance, picking up on a Monday, I was told the order was to be filled on the following Monday. Thats a week I need to buy from the local market now. Unacceptable. Ive ordered for four months from these guys and the meat is fine, good enough for the price. But the service is abysmal. Im going elsewhere.

Although they have quite a bit of variety, most of it is frozen in large quantities. They are over priced, but worth the support of locals. Great selection for smoking pellets.

This place is the best! Top quality meat in a real old school butcher shop. If you grill this is definitely the place for you. They are fast and very friendly and like I said there meats are just the best (you have to try the marinated chicken breast and the rib eye, oh and the little one says there hot dogs are great too!)

I have bought a lot of beef from this place. The quality is the best. Just this last weekend ( Mother’s Day) we had prime rib. We smoked it. It was the moist and best tasting prime rib I have ever had.The service is always the best and recommendations on what seasoning, how to cook, etc. are spot on.You should give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed. The prices are very fare when matched with the quality and service.

These guys are top notch. They always take time to answer questions, provide suggestions, and offer out of the park customer service. On two different occasions they’ve gone out of their way to provide customer service that goes above what I expect. I missed their closing time by 5 minutes (the weekend they went to their Winter hours) but they saw me pulling in the parking lot as they were leaving; they turned around and opened up shop so I could purchase the items I needed. Shortly before Thanksgiving I needed pellets and knew I wouldn’t make it before they closed due to road conditions. The employee offered different solutions to help me out. We ended up charging my card over the phone and then met down the road after normal business hours so I wouldn’t be short on Thanksgiving. Aside from the customer service, their prices are very competitive, the quality of meats is where I’d expect, and the variety is impressive. Keep up the truly good work.

I discovered Dons Meats this summer. They sell very high quality meat. Ive purchased several briskets from them and loved them. Their steaks are great and cheaper than some of the grocery stores. Their bacon wrapped chicken kabobs were a huge hit at our party, and their stew meat is so tender and yummy that Ill never buy that anywhere else. I must also mention they have a great price on pellets for your pellet grill. Youve got to check this place out.

One can really tell Don cares about his customers by the way he treated my wife and I. When talking to him, I can tell hes a good honest and trustworthy business owner and will be a great addition to the West Jordan commerce. The quality of meat is leagues better than grocery style beef. Their prices on complementary items such as smokers and pellets are the lowest around and everything is reasonably priced especially for the quality!

Love these guys! always so nice! a little expensive on some stuff, but worth it for quality. their hot dogs are THE best. weird to single out, of all the things you can get from a butcher, but THEY ARE SO GOOD. all of the cuts of meat are good too. i wish they had ground lamb more often because it was also incredible, but that’s an availability thing, not their fault.

Friendly and knowledgeable. You can buy by the pound, just a couple items, or pick one of his assorted weight/mixed meat boxes. He has a super selection of spice mixes, smokers, smoking woods.... I could keep going, but you should check it out yourself. Quality is amazing!

This place is great! I am only getting my meats here from now on! The Flavor is different than grocery store meat, if you order a meat bundle.. you may have to wait a few days, but it is worth the wait. The tri tip is amazing!

I came here on the recommendation of a friend. I had no idea about this hidden treasure on Redwood! I got 3 beef franks and 2 Santa Maria Tri Tip steaks and slapped all of it on the grill that night. They were so delicious and tender. I cant say enough about the selection, quality, and good prices Dons has. Service was friendly and quick. They have quite a good selection of meats and I was very happy to see a place that offered beef bones!

Dons has a wide variety of solutions ... might I suggest the Santa Maria chicken breast .... its so good you cant help but go all hog wild honestly ...
