Prior to actually going to places, I did my research, and I had an idea of what piano I was looking for. When I came here, employees were very helpful, and I was pretty sure this was where I wanted to buy from. I ended up waiting a couple weeks, but did buy from Riverton Music. They made the purchase effortless and quick. It ended up taking a while for the piano to come in from Roland due to them being backlogged on orders. However, Riverton Music worked hard to make sure my experience was wonderful, and now I have a beautiful and great sounding piano in my home that I love using. Thanks Riverton Music!

We have purchased all our instruments here for school orchestra and private lessons. We love the rent to own option they have and they let you trade in your rental for a bigger size as your child grows. My son recently popped a string on his violin and they waved the installation fee for me since I’d bought it there. They even have a room in the back where they have recitals. It’s very convenient!

I was there for a piano recital. Two of my grandsons were performing in the recital. The performance room they have is nice with good sound quality and a beautiful grand piano. There was a 2nd piano but I did not hear it. Riverton Music in West Jordan is a small story but seemed to have a lot of sheet music, about 6 pianos on display and some other school band type instruments. I appreciate the store allowing the performance room to be used and I realize it gets new possible customers in the store so it helps those kids performing and the store. Thanks Riverton Music!

Saturday early afternoon I walked in and had both employees stare blankly at me as I walked in. No other customers in the store. I stated I wanted to see their clarinets. Continued blank stares. After an awkward pause I asked, “So... can either of you help me?” They looked at each other like this was a huge inconvenience, and finally one employee slowly got up and shuffled his way to the back. He found the two they had but had absolutely nothing to say about either of them. After asking a few basic questions it became obvious he was pretty clueless. It was pretty disappointing, especially as I was about to spend several hundred dollars, to have absolutely zero help. I honestly regret not going to another music store.

Horrible customer service and refund policy!Riverton Music offered Orchestra classes to be taught at my daughters school. They then cancelled the class as they did not have enough students to make it a full class... totally understandable, except I had to call to find out the classes has been cancelled, even though they had ALL of my contact information from registering for the class. I had also purchased the 2 required books for that class when I paid for the lessons. I then asked for a refund and was informed that it would take up to 3 weeks for the refund to process, but that I would need to bring the books in for a full refund as long as they had not been damaged. I took the books into the store that I purchased them from and was informed that they could only do in-store credit for the books (even with no damage). I still have not received my refund from the classes or the books. I have called and left multiple message requesting any available updates, with no contact back at this time. I have been waiting for over a month at this point.

My kids frequently have their recitals hear through their local music teacher. Their stock is good. Their instruments are great. They have a lot of good books for learning different levels of musical Talent I think that the store staff is wonderful and they seemed very friendly. It looks like a good place to go and have music lessons as well.

It’s a good music store, I go there for my piano recitals and I got a flute there for my band class at my school. The workers are nice there

I cant speak to the music and instrument side of things. We attended two piano recitals here and had a good time. The chairs are comfortable, and both events were organized and started on time. The employees were considerate and brought in a few extra chairs for the people that arrived late. The stage is raised so that we could see both of our boys perform their pieces. The microphone and audio system is not built in, but on top of stands so audio reaches the back of the room.

Ken at Riverton Music is a great guy. He really cares about music and instruments and as a instrument repair guy, he knows his stuff. I personally dont know much about this stuff but I often run to his shop to get things for my wife, who is a piano and voice teacher, and he is awesome. Its nice to have someone there who knows what you are talking about even when you dont! Thanks to Ken and his team, I always come back with the right stuff for my wife. Awesome store, oh and their new location is really nice, a huge upgrade from the last one, even though its just down the way.

This is by far my favorite music store. The staff is absolutely amazing and so incredibly nice. They have a great selection of guitars as well as sheet music. Highly recommended 👌👍

This place is awesome! All the employees are really music lovers and can play the instruments for you so you can see how they sound. The pianos are digital and they are so cool! Its worth the trip over there to see.

I was shocked when I started playing a Roland Digital Piano. I am a huge fan of Roland, and I am so glad they Riverton Music carries them. Great Staff and they let you play with most of the instruments. They also have quality products!!!!

This location is pretty small and there isnt a lot of stuff to look at or choose from. I have mostly just been here for piano recitals. The recital room here is small, plain, and boring. It could use some decorations and better lighting. Theole store itself is pretty plain and boring. The staff is very nice though, and are always helpful.

My daughters elementary school classes were unexpectedly cancelled and we were in a pretty bad spot with a violin and music books that we no longer had any use for. I contacted Drew and explained our situation and he took the time to help get our concerns resolved. I appreciate his willingness to listen to his customers and do whats right.

Riverton music has excellent customer service. They do their best to order and repair your instruments and Bows in a timely manner. If they dont have what youre looking for they can find it and possibly order it for you.

They cancelled my daughters lessons at her school, then sent us to the wrong school to get her lessons. After offering a refund, they made me come into the store, where they assured me that theyd mail the check to me in 3 weeks, max. Months later, calling them several times a week, I still have no refund. They say theyll call me back and never do.Once again, they assured me that theyd get to the bottom of it and cut me a check, but no such thing has happened in the 6 days since, and no one is returning my calls.

Great place to hold piano recitals etc. due to the large performance room in the back. I have only purchased sheet music here (not any musical instrument) but they have a wide selection of music at a good price.

We werent expecting wonders,just them teaching some basics.My son wanted me to come in one day.I could tell my son was having issues with how to hold the Viola,but nothing was said,so I try my best to show him how to hold it,Ive watched my daughter play the Violin.I mentioned to my wife about it,& the teacher didnt correct anyone in the class.We heard about a Christmas concert,but the Orchestra class wasnt going to do it because to many kids were just“pretending to play”but thought it was growing pains in the class.One day my wife was picking him up,all the parents there were notified that they were having the Christmas Concert.All the parents rushed in for the concert & were a little peeved,no one had been told about the change.My wife calls the program coordinator about the lack of comm.& how he kept insisting my son had a Violin and not a Viola.Communication actually starts via emails,one of which says,“And now I would also like to remind everyone that parents are always welcome to attend rehearsals.This helps show your children that you r interested in what they r doing & helps give them confidence as they learn their instrument.”My son comes home & tells us that his teacher told him we are mad he isn’t good at playing his instrument & r just trying to get him in trouble.My wife calls the coordinator,who says she has sat in the class and hasn’t noticed any issues,but will do again.Later, she tells my wife she hasnt noticed any issues.My wife decides she’s going to go into the classes so she can see what is actually covered during the class & then also make sure no more issues with him.My daughter decides one day shes going to go in the class.Shes offering him some pointers about how to hold it and the teacher says thats what hes been trying to teach him.My son who plays the Cello came home & went.They both said that he didn’t seem like he was really concerned with teaching anyone even if theres a issue.We weren’t trying to cause any issues & just figure well keep trying to work with him.Today we go in & sit at the side of the classroom.Only 5 students in the room & they hadnt begun when the teacher walks over & asks us to please leave the classroom because we r a distraction.After the class I ask him why he had us leave & says that we are distracting the class.I tell him that they hadn’t seemed to have noticed us.He then wants to know why we are always coming in so I explain that its so we can see what they covered in class & that we can(I know it sounds like a stretch because we ourselves have no idea what we r doing but considering hes not teaching,what else can we do)try & get him caught up so hes not“pretending”to play.He then says he thinks its us causing a issue for him.I tell him that we are there because we are TRYING to work with him at home since he doesnt seem concerned with actually teaching him or the other kids who are having problems.He starts saying how he finds that hard to believe seeing how we supposedly have all that musical exp in the fam,which I try to explain the only one who really knows anything about it and is actually around to help is in high school,working a job,& is a TEEN & isnt around enough so its up to us.I saw that wasnt really sinking in,so I told him,“Let’s go back to my original question, why did you really ask us to leave?”which he responds with“Because I don’t want you there.”When I asked him about the email inviting parents in,he again says that we had become a distraction.I later called the coordinator,& she said she does agree with him.When asked about the email,she tried telling me that I dont go into his classroom at school and sit through that,but when I tried explaining my reasoning, she merely said she doesn’t understand why,so I had had enough & ended the call.Now Im pulling my son from the class,going to return the instrument & have to explain to a sad 9 year old why he cant stay in the class,because he genuinely wants to learn,he unfortunately fell behind & apparently,that’s ok to just abandon him according to his teacher.
