Have to give this location an average rating as we didnt end up purchasing anything here.Went on an adventure to a few of these locations and our hope was to call in advance in making sure what we needed was in stock. We called about 4 times within 2 hours (nobody picked up) and eventually decided to take a risk and drive over.The staff werent super knowledgable in what we were looking for- one employee didnt know the difference between the types of wood we needed. We also noticed that the three employees working there were letting the phone ring non stop- even when we were the only customers there.For sure its one of the only places in the area, but consider spending a few extra minutes traveling to a different location or other store.

Literally the best experience I’ve ever had buying lumber. Great safety precautions in place. Wait wasn’t too bad. I was able to speak to a knowledgeable person who told me exactly what I need. They even loaded everything up into my truck. That was the best! All the material seemed to be high-quality. I will never spend hours sorting through garbage boards at other places!

THEY WILL LET YOU DOWN. Purchased 50 pieces of #2 and better KDDF and out of the 50, 3 would be considered barely usable. This should have been discount lumber (splits, wane from end to end, large empty knots, bows, cups, etc.) Legitimately the worst quality lumber Ive ever seen. When they came to drop it off, they had strapped two 20 pieces to a stack of 8 pieces and when they rolled it off the truck the 20 boards caught the flatbed and snapped. Drivers didnt care and said they would get replacements out when they could. I ordered (26) 6 lag screws and received (20) 7 lag screws. They also didnt deliver two boxes of nails I needed and didnt tell me they were back ordered until the driver handed me the invoice. They could have called me a week ago when I ordered and given me the opportunity to buy them myself rather than delaying my project. After returning the awful lumber they delivered, I went out to their yard to pick my own lumber. Spent 40 minutes picking through an entire stack and only found 3 okay pieces. Drove down the street to the OC Home Depot, rented a truck, found all 50 pieces of my lumber (good quality lumber) and got home within an hour and a half and saved a bunch of money because PARR charges more than any other lumber retailer in the area. Unfortunately this was not a one time thing. I have had issues every time Ive ordered from them and keep giving them the opportunity because sometimes its just easier to have things delivered. Its always a headache, quality is always bad, prices are always higher, and on top of everything they just dont seem to care. On top of all of this, I returned my items over a week ago and have not even been contacted about the status of my refund. When I called to find out why, nobody could even find my returns in the system and said that returns typically take 3-4 weeks. Thats correct. Not 3-4 days, 3-4 weeks. Do yourself a favor and go with any other local supplier in the Portland metro area.

We had a very disappointing experience at this location. Asked them to get us pricing on 18 doors, its been two weeks and we still havent heard back from them. Went to another location in Aloha and was able to get pricing in under 10 minutes. Ended up placing an order on the spot.

The only place that had in stock what I needed! Very friendly and helpful staff.

Parr Lumber has been excellent for service and quality.They do a great job to get you hooked up with the best quality materials and tools available. Never been dissatisfied with the effort they go to to supply the customer everything available you need.

Went in there twice about a month apart, both experiences were bad. The employees and manager didnt seen to care. The single star is to put the rating.

I used to shop Parr Lumber almost daily 15 yrs ago when working for a local big contractor. I dont have a Parr in Oregon City so settling for big box stores do it yourself. After the experience today at Parr Lumber those big box stores have lost a customer, Knowledgeable helpful professionals at Parr won my business back from now on,

Ive had great luck over the years here, mostly being able to find lumber when big box doesnt have any. Quality is much better and the knowledge of the staff is also much better. Prices are hit and miss, but they arent a discount chain with 200,000 square feet.

If you want to shop at a great establishment that gives back to your community, this is the place to go!

Couldn’t be more disappointed with the customer service at this company. All locations. They act as though you are lucky they are even helping you. Will never shop at any location ever again.

I picked up a new Green Mountain Grill over the weekend. As I dont have a vehicle that could fit the grill, I had to rent a truck to pick it up. I got home and found that the wrong grill had been loaded into my truck. I called to try and correct the issue, but they were gone for the weekend. I gave them a call this morning and within about an hour, they were at my house with the correct grill, taking away the old one, saving me the need to rent another truck. It was a bummer to get the wrong grill initially, but with how promptly and professionally they resolved the issue, I felt they deserved a full 5 start review. Sometimes its not about what they do right that earns 5 stars, its about how they handle and resolve a mistake!

I have used this shop three times buying matching kerfed decking cedars for deck repair. Reasonable pricing, friendly staffs and store is neat and clean. I don’t think I can find same quality decking cedars at Home Depot or Lowes, so it is not an apple to apple comparison. I definitely will shop at this store again.

I have been working on a large renovation on some commercial space we purchased for our company. When I went into Parr I had a lot of questions and needs. Tim (at the West Linn location) was so patient and helpful. We got everything ordered and scheduled for delivery. I asked to be called when the driver was in route, which they did. They also carefully stacked everything in our shop! From start to finish this was a seamless process and I am so thankful for their help and professionalism!

Great lumber yard

I came into parr lumber in West Linn to get help with redoing my deck, I have heard that they have people there to help design and tell you what kind of materials that are needed to build it. Instead of helping me the older man handed me two business cards to contractors that could build the deck for me. I asked if someone was there to help me today(Saturday) he said only during the week, I told him I worked the same time as they are open. He took my name and number down and said someone will call me and help me out. I WILL NEVER SEND PEOPLE TO THEM OR DO ANY BUSINESS IN THE FUTURE! I live in West Linn and I thought they would like my business over going somewhere else I guess not. I went to Milwaukie Lumber instead, they helped me get the right lumber to build the deck and gave me a cash discount I will drive the little distance to get better service and friendly people

I cant really review them because I called 3 stores looking for info, via a central operator, and none of the 3 answered the phone. Makes my decision easy... Ill shop with someone else.

They are close by, (if you live in West Linn) They have a large selection of wood and everyone was very friendly.

Its amazing what they have available. Needed to match old custom trim many styles and shapes, odd sidding etc. They were able to get it next day... I was impressed.

UPDATED:Dont prepay! They dont deliver on time and dont communicate with you.We just called on our order that should have been in 3 days ago. Instead, they say the order never came in, yet they never called us to update us. No apology. This is apparently a pervasive problem with Parr Lumber as others have said the same thing in other reviews. In the end, this is costing us a full week of our schedule!UPDATE: 4/11/18 (after owners response)They did it again! I will say again Dont Prepay.We just bought 250 fencing boards on Saturday. We asked if they could put them on a pallet for us and have them ready to go later in the week. They assured us that they could easily have this done and on a pallet for us by Wednesday. Wednesday rolls around and we call to check to make sure it was ready to go. We were told it was ready to go with our name on it. So I drive across town to pick it up. Is it ready? Nope! They didnt do what they said they would do (again).

The person who helped us friendly, professional and took pride in what he was doing. The guys in the yard were also the the same and organized. In and out we were with our materials for the job. Take you Parr lumber.

This place has gotten extremely busy, but Corey does his best to get us through as efficiently as possible. Some of that guys in the yard could use a bit more familiarizing with products, but overall great place for building supplies.

Terrible service. Lost two days on a project. Employees kept telling me my materials were on the way and they never showed. I’ve never been so frustrated. I don’t understand how they stay in business.
