Convenient but expensive location and they do have everything you could need but its like bad customer service is a requirement for employment... The awkward teenager at the register has better social skills than the lady at the customer service booth.And the self checkout machines are even worst, whoever programmed those things should be fired.

Acme is not my favorite place to go when it comes to fresh fruits and meat. If you are looking for dry food, toiletries, dairy or non edible stuff, acme is good but fruits are really in worst conditions. Also self checkout system is really really bad. Its annoying and not smart at all. There cold cuts are good and thats the only reason why I gave 2 stars.

Typical supermarket - nothing spectacular to write about. They do have a “cafe” that serves coffee and a hot buffet lunch. They also have a salad bar.Bathrooms are NOT clean and no soap was available to wash your hands.Place is NOT cheap and is rather pricey for groceries.There is an underground parking garage and some on street parking. Also a small parking lot is located nearby. All are free- which is a plus.DO NOT COME HERE WITH A TRACTOR TRAILER.

Cant give them even one star. There is aways water at the floor, which makes it very slippery and dangerous to step on it. The Pharmacy 60% of the cases didnt have any of the medication we are looking for, and every time the Pharmasis will tell you that is not us, it is the store who is not bothering to order all the medication. I end up speaking to the Supervisor and asking why the Pharmacy is NOT offering have of the most main treatments and medications. She end up unswering me that because of Corona the suppliers are not delivering to them!!? How come other Pharmacy have everything available, but apparently suppliers are not delivering only to you is my question? Very pure management. Dont have an idea how to manage this business and there clients.

They are very expensive compared to Walmart and Shoprite but guilty of still going when I have an emergency because its closer to my house than a shoperite or Walmart. Definitely not my preference there roasted rotisserie chicken is so bad when I tried it.The ones in Walmart Definitely are way better or even shoprite.

Noticed a rather large dog in the store, (not a service dog) and a bakery person filling cookie trays without gloves. Asked the customer service person if this was allowed. She just sighed. I left disgusted. Much better service at Shop Rite!

Love this supermarket it was so big omg I went around twice just to make sure I didnt forget anything. And they have such great deals! I do wish they had more cashiers then you having to do the self check out.

Ive been coming here since they close my Acme in Weehawken near me. Clean, lit, great personnel and good sales. My to go to supermarket after work and when in a hurry, since its relatively close by.

Reason why Im giving them 5 stars because they got actually got a hot food area. They got these wings that will make you fly and a pretty good chicken sandwich called the firecracker chicken sandwich and only $4

Open late, east auto check-out but always super nice HS seniors/college age employees ready to help. Clean by NY-metro public supermarket standards.

Great service. Love the meat department

No customer service and it’s not well organized. You have to be sure to check expiration dates before buying. There is only a self check out option and there are usually 2+ employees standing there chatting, ignoring customers. If you need help they will come over but don’t acknowledge you, correct the problem (only plus), and walk back to their conversation about partying/ throwing up (really? We need to hear that?). You finish and leave with no have a nice day or anything, might as well be invisible. I was also there before Xmas and a woman was working in customer service but yelling at a customer who was speaking calmly. Then she began yelling at employees about needing to ring something on a register (taboo now). I gathered she was a supervisor. Felt bad for the employees. We are done shopping here. Just unpleasant with expired food.

They helped transfer my prescription over from Walgreens due to it being less expensive. They were fast, professional and have really great customer service. My new go to pharmacy.

Glad its still open, and keeping everything (mostly) in stock. Despite the pandemic. The parking lot in the back is free to park, so I enjoy shopping when snowing/raining and not worry

Worst produce selection ever. Needs major improvement!

Excellent place to shop, if you are living near the housing community. Some cases the prices are on the higher side as compared to other markets in the area (JFK Blvd etc.). The ACME on the Weekawken side comparatively cheaper.I usually visit for small shopping items like bread, eggs etc. Video Kiosk is pretty good a well, DVD rentals

Service has definitely improved, cashiers at the covered parking area are more professional.

I shop here and they always have fresh products, great seafood market, also no crazy lines and good prices!

Clean and not too crowded!

The prices in the Acme at Port Imperial are pretty high compared to shop rite. The staff have definitely turned over since the peak of covid. Only a few people seem seem to be left. Those individuals are very nice and accommodating. The new staff are just really trying to get through their shift.The way I see it is that this particular Acme seems to be a difficult one to work at.It isn’t the most comfortable shopping experience.!

Pretty decent sized grocery store. The Produce section is ALWAYS clean & fresh. They offer 🐗 Boars Head 🍖 deli meats & 🧀 cheeses, which is ALWAYS a Plus, in my opinion! Parking can be a little tight thou..

What you would expect. The Fried Chicken is on point. The covered parking is nice.

We go here a lot because it is walking distance from my house but it always is poorly stocked, feels dirty and the staff seem miserable. The produce is mediocre and the prepared foods are hit or miss. The store definitely needs a makeover.

I give this one star, the parking is inconvenient, they charge for parking. It’s free for 1 hour and after that it goes up to $5. There is no lighting and is pitch black in the parking lot. The shopping cart from the Acme stops short of the front so you can’t push the cart to your car. The workers at Acme aren’t attentive and aren’t that friendly. You must check the dates on food because most of the time it’s expired or day to expiration. The policy says don’t enter with pets or without a mask. I’ve seen plenty of time when people have bought their dogs in and the workers say nothing. I was just there tonight and it was a family with kids and the kids weren’t wearing mask. The acme worker was just sitting down and never said anything about them not wearing mask.

Everything that you need!

The quality of produce is not good. The greens and organic section mostly have stale produce and often over-watered reducing the shelf life.They don’t sell a bag of red/white onions which is very uncommon for a grocery store

Good supermarket with a lot of choices. Prices are reasonable and they have a wide selection of veggies and meats. Place is huge and have good opening hours

Customer service is always a problem here seems like you are bothering them when you ask a question. When leaving I said thank you and have a good day the cashier just ignored me.

Nice neighborhood grocery store. You can get pretty much everything, from baking to dairy to meat. You can also get fresh cooked food and seafood. It has good collection of groceries from Italian to Asian. Prices are not too bad either.

Last two weeks the meat I got from the cold case was rotten when I opened the package. I mean an obvious powerful bad egg smell. The label on the latest piece said it was packed only 3 days ago, so probably theyre not keeping things at a safe temperature.

Yes I would say the grocery store is usually well stocked. Locations are clean and staff is friendly.

Convenient for lots of things, but seafood is an absolute no. It’s not fresh and could make you sick. Had to throw lobster / shrimp several times.

Location and hours are convenient, but the staff is least interested in providing any service. Tonight I was charged 48 dollars for five yogurts. Upon questioning, turned out that stuff that never belonged to me was rung. It was not even given to me. I had to insist the kid ringing me to cancel and restart. The staff doesnt care. So if you are not paying attention expect to be over charged. This store always had service issues despite having a central location. Hope someone pays attention.

If you have shopped this location before then you can remember that this place used to be Pathmark. Not much has changed other than the brand name, same products, same prices, and same staff. The location of some items might have moved but all in all its still a great place to go to when you need to get your food shopping done. Plenty of parking even on weekends.

Acme in edgewater has everything a grocery store for the masses. It is clean and has great value as compared to many. It is my go-to because its the closest along with the Fort Lee NJ location which is the same standard.

For such a neighborhood,1. They need better quality food. Meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits. This isnt the market for such poor quality.2. More organic food.3. More people - late into evening, there is only one counter open4. Better training. People who work there are great, but they just have fun working (or playing?) amongst themselves. I remember when I was given change with the counterperson looking the opposite way, just talking and chilling with his coworkers. Literally back towards me, money and receipt in his hands behind him. Hasnt got a clue about respecting customers.

Great Prices.

This establishment deserves 5 stars.But today unpleasant visit wasn’t the usual visit.I asked the customer care cashier to assist me with checking out. Because lines were long and only 2 open registers.I had less than 5 items.The young lady that was cashing me out bagged my dog food with my personal food. Explained to her that she shouldn’t and also to make sure she bagged the meat in a separate bag. With a small attitude she said I know. I stated wanted to make sure because meats shouldn’t be packed with other items.Manager Christine’s then stated you should of just made the line and bagged your own bags.Very unpleasant and uncalled for.

Right off the walk way, easy location pick up a little bread fort the wife and child come through counting steps

The rudest staff I have ever encountered. First off I walk into the check lane put my stuff on the belt and the cashier turns his light out and walks away. He walks by me picking my items off his register and doesnt say anything. I go to the other opened register. The cashier is having problems with scanning a coupon so I pick up my items and go to the service desk. The item I purchased rang up wrong. I said something and the lady followed me to the medicine I bought and I showed her and the sale expired end of October. I told her that they were all expired and she said I see that honey real condescending and we walked back to the register. No one said hello or even asked if I needed help finding anything as I walked around lost in the store. Convenient but other than that I wouldnt go back.

Always a good variety of food, daily prices could be better but specials make up for it. Look out for expired items - I find them frequently. Otherwise, 5 stars.

They treat their employees horrible. Ed and Melody extremely unprofessional they fail there employees. They dis regrade the safety of their staff. When a staff member is being attacked by a ballistic customer it takes the manager 40 min to responds because he is to busy upstairs ordering food and having a party.

They now have self-checkouts!! At the front and the back. New manager too. The store has been cleaned up and has never looked better!!!

Saw a mouse in the store and alerted staff, they didn’t seem too interested.

No baskets, expired food on shelves, and only one entrance. Up to 3 stars because always opened and can rely on it to find something to eat. Never closed during covid.

The produce is terrible. My husband paid $14 for fresh cut fruit and when we served it the next morning it was spoiled. We’ve spent over $1,000 in this location over the past few weeks. They refused to take it back because he did not have a receipt. In spite of the fact that it had a time and date stamped acme sticker on the package. This is not the first time we have gotten spoiled produce from this location but it will be the last!

The supermarket is clean and usually empty. Their food is fresh and well stored. They always have great promotions and deals. The store is however, very small. That means selections are limited. If you are looking for something very specific, Id suggest elsewhere. Very small.Lastly, the shopping carts are useless for bringing groceries to your car. The wheels lock as soon as you walk 10 feet outside their doors, so if you like to push the cart to your car and unload it, you cant do that here. You would have to move the car up to the entrance, where there is not a lot of room. If you are with a small child and now you have the groceries, its just not practical. Its great for light shopping thats all. Full food shopping should probably be done elsewhere. Go to ACME on Park Ave instead.

Its big and clean. A bit overpriced, but the affluent local residents can surely afford it.

Convenient but horribly overpriced market. Food selection is average but it does have a pharmacy and to-go cold and hot food but besides location there is no reason to pay 30% to 50% higher prices for everyday food items. Bring lots of cash.

Well stock up in terms of organic fresh produce. Love the space and I usually drop by during weekdays afternoon which has much lesser people. The only place I can find my Gerolsteiner sparkling apple drink. Cashier is usually very friendly.

Its a grocery store. Mostly good selection at fair prices especially when its on special. Although, the produce department is a bit lacking.

Ive gotten sick from eating their rotisserie chicken, their produce selection is poor and of poor quality, their meat department on occasion gets decent quality meat but the people working the meat department cant tell you the difference between a steak or a chuck (the butcher, when is there is great, but thats when hes there). I recommend buying the packaged products here, but go up to road to Whole food for the fresh items.

Decent store but very rude cashiers. I have to wonder why this store in particular keeps hiring unhelpful girls who roll their eyes when they have to get off their phone to ring you up. I shop here once a week and have never not felt uncomfortable.

Acme is my preferred quick shop place, the range is good, the service is also good. Its pricier than Walmart if you need a big shop but we have 2 Acme stores to choose from, both walking distance from home.

Not the best option if you are hoping to stretch your dollar but if you look hard enough, there are some decent deals to be had and the variety is excellent. I particularly loved their selection of cold cuts.

Store is clean but way too expensive. I get that the lease is likely more at this location but prices seem to be fifty percent more of what they are at other stores. Even the items on sale don’t seem to be much of a deal.

Most people already know that ACME HAS GOOD VALUE, but not everything is organic, not has the lowest price either, but it is a good place to shop, find sales and most household things needed.
