Bought something online and was told by customer service that I could return it for a refund at any GNC store. This place did not want to give me my refund. The GNC in Newport mall in Jersey City were able to do it and said they this store should have done it for me but they just didn’t want to. It’s not cool that this GNC store made me waste time and gas by driving to another store for something that they were supposed to do for me.

Good price on the supplement I needed but the card machine didnt work right. The money was pending out of my account but the shop keeper wanted to run my card again because it didnt show up their end. Soz, not happening. Thank goodness he let me have my items, but now I have to check my account in a few days and if the payment is returned I have to go pay cash. Ummm ... If I have to come back and pay that, itll be too much hassle for me to shop here again.

Went today and was in a very big hurry, my car was also on hazard because I couldnt find parking! The guy from the cashier saw that I was rushing and helped me out quickly with my purchase. No extra questions, no stalling. Prices are the same as online so I think its a good place 🤙

My dad, my brother, & I have been shopping at this GNC for the past 15 years...Ramon is an excellent salesman & extremely friendly & knowledgeable....his family.is there as well. His entire family is friendly & extremely helpful.

The worst experience was due to Ramon A Santos. This guy ignored me when I came in. No form of acknowledgement. I had all purposes to buy my monthly supply of vitamins. As I’m walking down the aisles he looks at me up and down with a look of disgust, still without acknowledging me at all. Two ladies walk in and he was all sorts of friendly. Asked how they were, what they needed and if they ever thought of using any of the supplements they had on sale. At this point I probably have about 6 things in hand and still shopping. Still no words from this person. As the ladies left and I placed my items on the counter he rings me up without asking me anything. Not did I find anything, nothing about any specials or promotions not even if I’m a gnc member. I was clearly insulted so I asked him why was I receiving such discrimination? Do I appear to be invisible or have no rights as a consumer? He replied with, “oh I don’t know I like to treat all my customers the same”. I said well you didn’t acknowledge me upon me coming in nor did you say anything as I shopped around however to the elder women who came in you basically almost gave up your soul. SMFH. His reply to my observation was well, “idk what to tell you”. Like an apology would be a start. I decided to not purchase anything and as I’m walking out he says, “may you have a good day and God bless you because you need it.”I was tempted but resisted the urge to correct such discrimination. Never again will I buy from there again

WARNING: LONG STORY BUT ITLL MAKE YOU THINK TWICE ABOUT COMING HEREI really wish I would be able to give this place a negative 5 star rating. In my life Ive never experienced a retail store with such unprofessional, customer service disoriented employees with lack of manners or common sense.In my situation, I stopped at a GNC store in Garfield NJ and purchased a supplement that happened to be on sale. Literally the day after I changed my mind about the product and decided I dont need it anymore so I come to my local GNC which sad to say is this specific letrine of a store.POLICYCustomers can return their purchase with a valid sales receipt and a valid photo ID within 30 days from the date or purchase.For the sake of the story Ive copied and pasted their return policy from their website. As soon as I walk in with my item, my original receipt, photo ID and same form of payment that was used... The manager on duty named Griselda, jumps out of her seat from behind the desks and saysI cannot return that, its a clearance item and is almost expiring... I confusedly respondWell I bought this at a GNC store just yesterday and I have my receipt and everything... and the fact that Im just finding out its expiring I want it even less because I wasnt of aware of that when I purchased it as well as the return policy on clearance stuff youre telling me nowShe shrugs her shoulders tells me nothing she can do or will do and continues to suggest for me to travel back out to where I purchased it to return it.I got customer service on the phone, they advised her of the policy and that shes in the wrong, she refused to return it... customer service transfers me to corporate, the rep tries to call the store to advise her of what actions she has to take but Griselda purposely grabs the store phone to occupy the line. I had to actually tell her heres my phone the rep wants to speak to you so she goes and hides behind one of the isles trying to get one of her associates to take the phone for her avoiding the situation she started and continues to escalade. When she finally takes my phone and is told to do the return she proceeds to belligerently shoutIm not doing it ! Im not doing it ! No Im not doing it ! Get Ramon or Anthony on the phone ! Tell them Im not doing it ! One of the associates even grabbed her to the back and told her to calm downThe rep speaks to her again, for one last time and gets the very little sense Griseldas stubborn little head can actually receive and process.. as the rep is apologizing on the phone and telling me everything should be fine now, I see Griselda nodding her head no indicating shes still not doing the return and trying to convince me and my 8 month pregnant girlfriend who both have been standing in this store for about 1hr30mins going back and forth. When I told the rep I felt like I was dealing with a 5 year old child in the body of a lady that can easily be my mom but Im glad is not... the rep got fed up and actually contacted her district manager and only then she actually did the friggin return!As she was handing me my receipt she still kept claiming her idiotic business analogy/policy Im doing a one time exception, because I cant return something that wont sell in my store.... it doesnt convene meIll never even look towards that direction if I ever pass by there. Worst experience ever! Definitely made me think differently of GNC. Id rather now go to any of the other mom pop shops or vitamin shoppe.I tried to explain Griselda I also am a manager where I work so I understand business. I put it the simplest way her simple self could understand. The reason customer service comes before anything is because there wouldnt be any store profit without any customer, and the only way to keep profits flowing is by keeping customers happy SPECIALLY IF THEYRE COMPLYING WITHIN THE LISTED POLICY!!Ps Griselda if youre reading this, the G in GNC does not stand for Griselda so stop making up your own policies.
