Lack of customer service skills. Found what I needed on my own. Did not ask me for help.

I would highly advise taking a few minutes extra to drive to the next closest auto zone. because the employees specifically the manager at this location doesnt help you with what you need, nor will they honor there student discounts that come straight from there corporate office. Highly displeased with this auto zone location to say the least.

I don’t know what type of employees that they have working there but they are very unhelpful. I needed help with something and both of the cashiers declined to help me. I would definitely drive further to another AutoZone in a different area for help instead of going to the one that’s closest by my House because they are not helpful at all. I don’t even know how to have jobs there to be honest with you.

The store was clean and was able to find everything I needed. The staff seemed pretty friendly. I would shop at this location again since I had no issues.

They always have what I need, sometimes it just takes forever to check out. Its not the staffs fault, something about the way Auto Zone operates is just terrible. If there was a self service kiosk this would probably never be an issue.

Good stores for car. Only issue customer service could be better and they should not allow shoppers to enter without mask. It puts us all at risk

So you go inside this store You see the employees telling stories to each other and laughing so you get what you need then you get to the cashier and no one bother to talk to you so you stand in the line waiting for someone to come to the cashier but their busy laughing so you have to stand and wait until one of them eventually get tiered of the conversation and come to help you.

Clean and mask is a must, cashier was kind and very helpful. I came in with worried and left satisfy with the part I need. Thank you guys.

This is the best AutoZone Ive visited thus far! MARCUS S. (from his name tag) was great! helped me from the time I walked in until I left out! I appreciate great customer service which is why Im reviewing this location. Two days ago I was looking for items for my vehicle I went to the East Orange location 1st because it stated online, that they had everything. With all the employees they had working no one was able to help me and the communication felt rushed! I quickly came to this West Orange location and noticed a major difference! Thank you again I will continue to do business here.

This place is terrible. Today is October 14 2020. They were supposed to open at 7:30 am. And I left at 8 am cause it was still closed smh. Line was forming and nobody could tell you what’s going on. I called corporate and spoke the regional manager Mr. Edison Casada that wouldn’t let me get a word in. Shame shame shame. No wonder your employees show up to work when they feel like it and are so rude cause you’re rude yourself. West Orange deserves better. Someone please do something about this ratchet management. Thanks

Thanks to Kiia in state. Manager was excellent came out to my car and replaced my battery in time for my appointment, thanks autozone.

So I went to get a part on Sunday the store manager ordered it but it was the wrong part and not only that he said it would be here on Tuesday it came on Monday and it was only one part and that was the wrong part so on Monday I take it back with the mechanic and we then Try to find the right part still didn’t have no luck but I can’t say I met a really nice young lady name Kira I think her last name is Brown but it’s spelled KIIA she was a big big help although I had to stay at the store from 530 to about eight she got the job done and she wouldn’t stop looking until she felt the part that I needed which was a lower control arm if corporate wants to call me and asked me how was her performance I would tell them they need to get rid of the store manager that they have and let her run the whole show because she definitely thinks about her customers before anything again I want to say thank you KIIA for all you have done

Im not sure if it was the day or the time / shift. I went to this Auto Zone to get paint for all the little scratches on my SUV due to the debrie from the streets that scratch my vehicle. But I met a young man that works at the store he was so informative about what the steps were to make my ride look right. I was very impressed and thankful for the information. This location for the most part very clean and well organized inside the store.

I enjoy my experience at this location. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They try to keep the lines moving, which is always appreciated as a customer. They usually have what I need, and willing to look items up when requested. I would recommend going here over some of the other locations Ive patronized.

Had great customer service from Denicia today. As a female, it was impressive how she knew her way around a car and changed my battery flawlessly. Im forever grateful that my day, time and money was saved because of her expertise. Definitely ask for her assistance when you are in there.

Always has the parts I need at a great price.

Today I went to Auto Zone at the West Orange location and I waited in line to be serviced. I needed to have my vehicle battery checked and/or purchase a new battery, but after I was called by employee named Gerald, I informed him of my issue. Shortly after, another cusomer that walked in from outside started requesting assistance and Gerard stated that the other customer returned and that I had to wait because the battery tester was being used. I could clearly see that battery tester was not being used, but Greald just looked at me, so I requested a supervisor who tested my battery, but I was so upset that I did not purchase anything and I walked out.I was informed that Gerard was a manager and I dont know how that is possible because guest service, comansince and respect are also key components when dealing with the public.

Super helpful and well stocked. Recently had my check engine light go on and they didnt hesitate to come out in the freezing cold and give me a print out of the fault (gas cap not on tight enough).

Needs alot of improvement in customer service. Everytime I go to this one on Main St., Orange, N.J. I always get a nonchalant attitude with customer service. Since Im from Bklyn., N.Y. I just spend my money there, where they always have excellent customer service.

You wait in line thirty minutes to be served, to discover they dont have what you need.In this period of covid-19 there wasnt a sense of urgency to get the patrons guickly served.

I think if the reps offered more help to their customers it would be a more personable place. For example, needed a battery charged. No assistance with getting the battery out nor had on-hand tools to assist you. I changed my mind after trying for an hour and couldnt get the battery out. The rep never even came back out to check on me; knowing Im a woman.

This store is NEVER open on time. 7:30 am is the time they are supposed to open, it’s never open before 8:15am. Today I had enough I’ll just go down the street to Advance auto.

Didnt have the correct parts and was leg to look for myself for the part. Return was easy and quick and the young lady was very polite.

Could be quicker they need more employees in this store it was literally two regular employees and one training personnel and the line was extremely long I waited like almost 25 to 30 minutes and when I got to the top of the line I had to go and wait until they cleared the line for the women to help me but she was very knowledgeable about the service that I needed so that part went fast

Slowest and laziest employees I have ever seen. Management doesnt care.Edit: I see the owner copy and pasted a response. They have never been speedier nor will improve. Lived nearby for a year and average wait time was always 15-20 minutes for the most basic thing. I could understand a busy store with people running and getting parts but the employees are standing around talking or just slowly doing nothing. One day, it was just the manager alone working. No one showed up for work lol.Never had this problem in Wayne, NJ and currently in Ledgewood, NJ. I made the mistake of thinking they would have the same tool I used last time. They did not and also provided me with false information.

Unlike most retail stores in this area (NJ), the staff here has always been professional and pleasant (Ive been there at least 6 or 8 times since they opened). Special kudos to the manager there today - she helped me with a battery core return today and she was great. Thank you.

Well stocked store, definitely had what I needed. Customer service from employees need refreshing. Other than that, good Auto shop store.

The manager, I think her name was jaydah, not sure, but she offered terrible customer service, she honestly should not be there. First off i was there in the morning and a customer was complaining about her, she was rude and walked away. i bought something, i came back and tried to return the part, it was actually unused, you can see it was unused. she tried to say i installed it but i didnt. I actually needed to fix something else instead of what i bought. she refused my return, was incredibly rude, told me to call corporate kept walking away etc. This has literally never happened at autozone, I am pretty relaxed, but she was just a horrible example of how an employee in customer service should act. you do not treat people like that, sometime later they ended up refunding me, but she was horrible, and i was not the only person who complained about her that day

Always have what I need (not necessarily the brand) so I dont have to buy extra stuff on Amazon. Be sure to pay with Bank of America Cash Back card and use you AutoZone card for additional savings.

The AutoZone had a full selection of auto parts from different manufacturers. I was able to find what I needed. The only problem I encountered was that they were seriously understaffed. I had to wait over 29 minutes for someone to come over and man the register. Nice store, needs salespeople.

I live 2 blocks from Advanced Auto, but Ill drive from east orange all the way up to west orange to this Auto Zone store because theyre so awesomely helpful and nice, when you walk in, theyre willing to help you out and dont give you any fuss about it!

I have been here a few times, and have always been treated like a customer, until last night. I walked into the store, saw 2 (Male & female) employees talking. I was there for a about a minute, with nobody to attend to me.So I asked is there anyone to attend to me? This other (big lady) employee said why am I being rude? Didnt I see them talking? She asked if I even have a job at all? I didnt have time to exchange words with her because I was tired from work. I have a phone store in Orange NJ and I also have employees.If my employee treats a customer in this manner, he/she will be fired at that spot.

Lyn B was as rude as possible! Initially helpful gentlemen found me the correct part. The part rang up a different price from the sign and Lyn refused to even go look at the sign. Check your receipts and look out for poor attitude. I suggest going anywhere else.

This low rating has 0 to do with the staff. Store was clean, everything in order, and the employees did the best they could (with what they had). I went on Saturday and they do not have enough people. (Only time I went) they had maybe 9-14 customers and I left without purchasing anything because of the lack of help. Hate giving reviews like this but maybe Autozone will employ some more people so these workers dont have to be stressed when ever its busy.

Helpful staff but sometimes they try to upsale a bit much. Also, maybe you should ask people if theyre on their way to the MVC for vehicle inspection before removing the car battery. It causes you to fail inspection :( its not something the average customer would know.

Never been to a place where they search for your parts, print a receipt with the part number, and had to find it for myself, not very helpful. Very disorganized shelves. I should get an employee discount.

Went in for front and rear break pads for my girl friends car and the girl at the counter was bery helpfull. Took only 10 minutes and gave me 3 selections to choose from of 3 different prices. Really nice place.

I want to replace for car parts

Went in for air filter and radiator fluid, they have three types of air filters, STP regular, STP Premium and K&N. Didnt have K&N or Premium in stock. The worksrs are very helpful when you can get to them.
