I live in town and go here multiple days a week. George is a great owner, all the employees are awesome. Its a diner with a diverse menu open 24/7/364. Its clean, the coffee is good, and so is the food. What else could you need? Take care of the staff, they work hard.Btw; the cakes and deserts are made in house and I stop in when walking by just for the cheesecake sometimes!
The Caesar salad was okay. For some reason it smelled like a wet, dirty dish rag really bad though. Tasted fine but after I got close to get better bites I smelled it. And the honey fried chicken salad looked nothing like the pics lol. It reminded me of Tyson frozen chicken tenders cut into some salad. Again it tasted good. Think the only thing throwing me off was the smell of the Caesar. I’ll try something else from here another day and see how I feel. Could just be a bad night 🤷🏽♀️
We came for the first time ever today, and I’m very happy that we stopped at this place. The chicken soup was fantastic. We ordered a turkey club which was great. The honey mustard sauce was 👌🏽and the pickle as well. Great service, but above all is 24 hours. I will come back for sure! No pics because we were hungry 🤣
It was a very pleasurable experience for me and my girlfriend. Our waiter was very polite and professional. I just wish she was a bit more casual - just a bit.The manager was very reassuring and respectful, kept us updated on our food and made sure we got exactly what we wanted.The food was amazing, a week after I still remember the taste of my brooklyn style burger. They offered a pickle with it and refills on drinks.The atmosphere was very pleasurable, having 1930? - 1960 music was so great for the classic diner experience.I will definitely go back there again.
My family and I enjoy this classic American diner! The food has always been great! Most of the staff has been very pleasant and helpful! We have tried several different meals and are always happy. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a good classic American diner. I also recommend the cheesecake pancakes! So yummy!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I was so excited to come here and eat, but let me start with Upon arrival we werent greeted . We sat for 20 minutes waiting only to get greeted after a table who came 15 minutes after us . Our Server never checked on us and every single time we waved to our server she ignored us . My whole order was incomplete and to make matters worst our Server touched my food with her bare hands after Ive seen her touching rags, her hair etc . Manager was annoyed at another complaint and super unprofessional..never again !
Awful 😖 only come here if you want to hear waitress complain about her feet, her life and everything else in her way. Nasty attitude. Its us and someone else in the booths. Waited 10 min before anyone came over. Then the other girl comes over, what will u have. Im like menus would be great. Nevermind - we know what we want. Then I hear the complainer say, thats what happens when u let customers seat themselves. Umm there is no one here. Mind u anytime I have come here, they always tell u to seat urself. Awful. Never coming back. The food is always good though. They need to fire and hire again.
Great food, great customer service. Stoped here for the first time with my 106r old daughter. Waitress was very pleasant. Our food came out in time. We went to the bathroom, and she held our food until we sat down. Prices arent too bad. Portions are great. Will come back again.

Everything was well and the experience was almost perfect until the waiter brought the bill which has a 20% tip on it without my consent! i wasn’t informed by the waiter that they do a mandatory tip i will be speaking with the owner to see if i can get my money back!!!
The food here is great, prices are reasonable and the staff (both the owner and the waitresses) are just delightful and so friendly. They create a very welcoming atmosphere and are just the nicest! Service is fast too. My husband’s office is around the corner and this has become our go-to spot.
I visited here Saturday. I was starving and had been here many times before. Welp Saturday was a huuuuuge dissapointment. I ordered the Roscoes chicken and waffles. Thats a joke. They should be sued for impersonating an old famous southern dish. The waffle was ok but the chicken fingers were disgusting. They were frozen and smelled strange. So I moved on to the eggs and bacon. Remember I said I was starving dont judge me. Im into the eggs and cheese the homefries were not good at all. Very greasy. I take a piece of bacon and look to the right of the plate and what do I see? A STRAND OF LONG HAIR. UGHHHHH. The waitress came and took the plate. It was hard as hell trying to finish the waffle. I had given up on the chicken after the first chicken finger. Yeah I was done. Nauseous for the rest of the night. Never going back there.

Awesome Gem of a place! We were looking for a lunch spot nearby after visiting the zoo. Pulled up Google and found this spot. Food was great, and the people were so nice and friendly! Definitely will be out goto spot before and/or after zoo mornings!!!
It’s really hard to mess up diner food. This is Jersey after all. My chicken quesadilla didn’t come with sour cream even though I asked for it on the side and it had no lettuce or tomatoes on it as their menu read via Uber eats. Neither did my veggie burger. I asked for mozzarella cheese on my veggie burger, it was bare and they had the nerve to charge me for it. This was my second time ordering from them in the past week. My chicken cesar salad and soup were wilted and cold a few nights before. When I called about my second order. Camilla answered. She sounded exhausted and unenthused. When I began to complain she hung up on me! NEVER AGAIN. Go to Chit Chat or Tops if you want quality local diner food and amazing customer service! This place is a joke!
After a long ER visit with my son, we were very hungry and the diner was the only thing open at nearly 3:00 a.m. I ordered thru uber eats pick up. To my astonishment, the diner was filled with racy, loud and uproarious customers. The hostess was far from being the hostess with the most!!! It took forever for my food to come out and it was a bit pricy for the lack of quality food. I WILL NEVER frequent this diner again.
Surprisingly good diner food in a no frills location. Portions were huge for the price and the 24 hour schedule makes it a great late night spot.

The food here is almost always delish! However today we placed an order for Turkey and cheese sandwich, Spinach egg white with swiss cheese, Mickey mouse pancakes and a grill cheese sandwich. The grilled cheese had SWISS cheese in it!! NOT WHAT WE WANTED OR LISTED. This has happened more than once. You ask for a special cheese on one item and EVERY OTHER ITEM HAS THAT SAME CHEESE ON IT!!Although the food is very good...paying attention to detail is key!✌
If I was able to give no stars I would. Ordered a burger (well done) with curly fries. Not only were the fries regular but I also got a pink burger all around. I called and asked to speak to a manager. Let her know of my concern. She says oh you have to call uber eats to get your refund because we don’t handle that. Wait but uber eats cook the food? What about I apologize?? Eat elsewhere If I were you guys!

I’ve gone here twice and have had negative encounters twice. I received a rude call about not being able to switch pork to Turkey because I amMuslim. Understandable but the rudeness and lack of help? Disgraceful for customer service as someone who has experience in this field. Then I asked to speak to the manager and was yelled at! I never raised my voice, I just needed help canceling my order. I will never order here again. People need to learn how to be professional at this place.

FOOD WAS TERRIBLE !!! HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Staff were rude and really impatient. The food was frozen and microwaved. Best part was that there were bugs crawling on the table. Just save your money and go elsewhere.

First and last time there. Originally I was really excited cause it said old skool environment but more like an uneasy environment. Coffee was bland, no taste whatsoever. Cups drinks are served in needs a major update. Ordered chicken tenders and fries, fastest thing to order. Definitely was about to walk out within 2mins because weird people were in there that no one seemed to care about, machine kept beeping over uber orders repeatedly and no one in the staff seemed to care to attend to it. Dont take your chances here. As for the 5 star reviews it could be fake reviews.
Rude people working here, especially the night staff. Came here with my buddies a few nights ago and the hostess out front was very rude to us and had a nasty attitude. We had to wait in our car for the table to be made ready even though there were several empty tables available. When we called back to try to check on our reservation the man who answered the phone was being very rude to us as well and hung up the phone on me when I asked about my table. Skip this place. PS we ended up going to parkway diner instead, much nicer people there.
I ordered strawberry pancakes and they forgot to give whipped cream. Make sure you remind the server. It should be included.
I ordered the meal it was overcooked and burnt and thrown together and when I ask them can they re cook it they told me no they cannot cook it over because thats what I asked for I said well I cant eat this. the manager or whoever his name is, George he was very nasty he has poor customer service and I am just done with them and they will not ever get my service again and I will always give this Diner a bad review

Coffee was disgusting. The place gave a real awful vibe to it, I ordered Chicken Tenders and Fries because that’s the only thing i could possibly trust there. Staff seemed irritated, and there was some creepy people there eating as well. Overall, this establishment won’t be there for very long because the diner seems very empty and it is not that clean. Everything looks cheap and used. Never again.
Prices are a little high for the quality of food . The price matches the great sized portion meals however this diner has been here for years and sits in a low income area . The food quality is just ok

Been coming here over 10 years. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and lox and a slice of raw onion. Sandwich was all wrong. Bagel, no cream cheese and a bunch of greasy fried onion. I called diner back and waitress tells me there was nothing they could do. She could have offered to add cream cheese and remove the greasy onions! Also ordered a strawberry milkshake and the shake wasnt even pink. At best she used 1 or two berries! Im really sorry my old diner has this kind of service. It was great before...

I ordered from Uber eats!!! Packaging was very poorly done!! My food was all over the place by the time it arrived!! And had wrong missing items!!! Also overcooked!!! Highly disappointing if I could give a reading lower than a one star I would!!!

I will not be bad.I thought that this would be like the other Americana diners that are of prestige and good customer service but the woman there... I placed an order through doordash for pickup so that means I pay for it in advance but when I got there, I realized that I might need to change part of the order. Im not a fan of chicken tenders that are reconstituted chicken parts. that is what came with the chicken and waffles. I asked her something instead of the chicken of equal or lesser value and she responded that it was already made. And I said I already paid and Im asking for something that I will eat. She responded that it was already made and I explained to her that she is willing to lose a whole sale and customer because she will not accommodate a simple request that will not cost them. She responded that it was already made so I shoved it back at her called doordash to get a credit cancelled payment on my card to the restaurant. Do better
I dont know why but our food was brought to us in pieces meaning, my dates food came 10 minutes before mine. As well as mine came in sections. First my French toast and bacon. Then my grits and eggs 6 minutes later. Not cool. Also, the grits were very lumpy. Additionally, the waitress asked to take our plates too soon and often. These things must be addressed. On the positive, they were one of the places open after midnight.

Ordered through Uber eats... not only was it expensive but I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and they sent me a container of lettuce and croutons... no cheese... not even salad dressing so this hungry frontline worker is going to starve today! How wonderful!
I just ate from this place. Honestly speaking, the food I ordered was subpar. The gave me a unclean cup for water, the NY-strip had a terrible aftertaste, and the service was terrible. The owner automatically included a 20% gratuity on my receipt and said it was mandatory... never coming back here again.

Last Thursday I came in with 3 of my friends and I just couldnt believe how the waitress Im pretty sure she said her name was Kelly how rude she was to us. I love the food, I love the size of the diner ! It’s very comfortable and my family and I always feel welcome. Customer service is awesome never had a bad plate or a rude waitress! We talk like family and my daughter has literally been growing up going to this diner and I hope to make it a tradition. Can’t wait for quarantine to be over so we can have our diner Sunday’s back .
We placed an order on doordash for two egg sandwiches. We called in to double check and add bacon to one. Ended up only getting one sandwich. good job.

Our waitress was a beautiful soul. She was attentive and helpful. Our food was DELICIOUS! The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable and CLEAN which is a biggie for me. If I had to say anything to the contrary it would be I think that it would be that they should pay a bit more attention to cleaning the menus a bit more. Other than that 5 stars all the way.
I was there Wednesday night and the service was just discussing, the black lady was asleep in corner.The food was cold when we got it. When asked if they could make the food hot the lady who was asleep said if you dont like it you can leave.
