I was next door testing for COVID-19 and went in Whole Food to buy some organic fruits. They tasted very sweet. The store is big and well stocked
Very neat inside, its stock is more organic and fresher than other supermarkets. I tried their homemade potpie and it was the best Ive had. I do wish it was simpler to use my Amazon account at check out thats the only part that upset me, being a prime member for years I would have loved for the transaction to be with my account but couldnt find the necessary code for it
Whole Foods in West Orange, NJ has very rude customer service. On two separate occasions, when I went to the store to purchase items advertised for that week on Amazon Prime, i was brusquely told that the item was not available. The first time, the excuse was that they didn’t get the deliveries until later in the week. Today, however, the item in question was advertised online AND at the meat counter on an 11 x 14 sign. The customer service agent senselessly attributed the absence of the product to the pandemic! I went to the Whole Foods in nearby Montclair, NJ where theres more than ample supply! In addition, when I called the Montclair, NJ Whole Foods store they graciously agreed to put the product aside for me. The West Orange management can benefit from getting some advice from their West Orange colleagues.
Went to pick up some things I ordered from Amazon and to get my favorite bottled water.I like picking up from a locker better because theres less wait time and things come in one package usually. It took 2 additional days for my items to be cleared for pick up after they were delivered and I never received a text notification. However the staff were friendly and helpful.
I dont shop here because everything is so expensive and theyre missing products Im used to getting at like a shoprite. Ive only been to two of these stores but this one had even less than the first one and the parking lot is pure chaos and kind of dangerous to be honest. The staff is kind, courteous and helpful though they all deserve raises for putting up with the clientele!
Ownership Keeps their word on service, quality control, clean and safe premise at this West Orange Whole Foods Market location. They provide wellness and quick response! God BlessMinister Murray (Pastorial Observation)🙏🏾✝️☝🏾⛪❤🍏🍌🍋🥝🍓🍎🥬🥑🥒🥤🍤🥗🥦🥜
Love whole foods. The organic fruit is plentiful and inexpensive. I have been shopping here for many years. Since I do prefer organic now, its the only place to shop in my opinion. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Why would you get rid of the Pecan n Cinnamon Coffee Cake, the one you kept selling out of and just have pumpkin or cinnamon..employee told my Hubby pumpkin or cinnamon get use to it....ugh like really....not everybody is a fan..I hate both...can somebody agree with me...
Very clean, organized, and stocked well. There was a fair amount of people, but it never felt terribly crowded at any point. Was in and out of the store relatively quickly and found what I needed with ease.
The Amazon return hours dont start until 10AM. Come on, Amazon & Whole Foods! Amazon wants to keep your money by making returns inconvenient. Whole Foods wants you to buy stupidly overpriced processed food. Its a match made in consumer rip off hell.
Whole Paycheck... I mean foods... the people who work there are lovely but 4 bucks for a lobster claw and the guy who put the flowers together was clearly not trained. He tried. He was nice. But I expect whole foods to have someone who knows what babys breath is and how not to have it overwhelm the roses. Anyway, Im glad I found some roses for my daughter.
Parking can be an issue but store is good and always well stocked
Fresh Produce shelves were almost empty at 630 pm.
Partnered with amazon which we dont love and super expensive but has all the vegetarian and vegan staples. Bring your own reusable bags and produce bags and the more bags you have the bigger discount you get and also amazon prime advantages if you have an account. You can scan the amazon app on your phone at check out and its easy. Hope more people will shop and reuse bags so more positive change and access to quality foods can come.
No Laci Labeau dieter tea!?
This is one of the stores we visit regularly for our groceries, specially fruits & veggies and occasionally for dry fruits & nuts. This is a bigger store compared to other Whole Foods Markets nearby. The store was renovated not too long ago and newest addition we noticed and tried was the in house almond milk. We are not allergic to dairy, just wanted to give almond milk a try and it was good try, suggest it to someone whos allergic to dairy. We like fresh produce from here with all the organic options they have. There have more organic options than a lot of other stores which I like, though wish they sold organic potatoes loose like Whole Foods Market, Montclair and not just the bagged organic potatoes. They have a decent bakery and prefer buying from Whole Foods Market bakery than elsewhere as they use better ingredients in their finished products to most other places. Love the chocolate walnut chewies here at West Orange Whole Foods to any the chocolate walnut chewies from any other Whole Foods Markets or any other stores ever. Less ingredients and yet delicious. We did try the deli and it is a hit or a miss. Sometimes the food tastes good and sometimes not! We also occasionally get wild caught sea food here like salmon, monk fish, red snapper, etc., We buy seafood just the previous night before preparing and so far it tasted fine. Also, we get the grass fed non-homogenized milk here. We also get some organic canned food for our dog from here occasionally. Whole Foods Market do have healthy ingredients/produce/foods and certainly cater to health conscious individuals. They also sell non-toxic better quality body soaps and it is our go to. Hope they continue to keep focusing on good health even in the future.
Great healthy choices are available here and the design of the space is nice. I take away a star because of the high prices: watch out for your total at the register.
I love this place. They have everything here and everything is healthy. I love it and their cooked food is not to shabby either
They are having trouble stocking certain items. This forces them to sometimes cancel online orders. They are also now charging for curbside pickup.
I visited this store as a brand helper. This is by far the worst location customer service wise. I asked to speak with a manager as the customer service desk, as part of my job (just needed to confirm if an order for a product was placed/or if they needed anything from the brand). I was told in a very very rude way that a manager would not be disturbed for me becuase they were at a cookout in the back. I was walking through the store and an employee told me move rather than excuse me. Though this store is modern/clean- customer service/communication is definately lacking.
Great store, difficult to find items. they have some hard to find items such as peppadu peppers, nice friendly staff.
I got everything I needed the store is big.It wasnt too crowded.
Ive lived here for a while now and normally I dont have an issue and the staff is usually extremely helpful and kind but as of recently the employees are lazy and have a serious attitude... I get you might be having a bad day but thats no reason to let that show and transfer to your customers... If you dont need to interact with any employees this place is great but God forbid you need help from an employee... expect sass and a negative attitude.
Went here got a coffee it was great
Id like to buy some soft shelled crabs and Wala! Whole Foods pops up...I called to inquire before driving there...and the phone just rang...and rang...and...Hire a Receptionist/Customer Service Person already to answer calls
It’s Whole Foods, we get our seasonal Sumo oranges here and other groceries. It’s also one of the Amazon drop offs so I’ve been here a couple of times to do that.
Was literally sickened to my stomach when I saw the string of hair in my food from the hot food station. Terrible customer service, and it has been near impossible to get a refund. I squeezed in a quick stop at Whole Foods during my lunch break and had to spend the entire hour trying to get my money back (which they wouldnt refund me). Had no time to eat because I had to race back to work, so I missed on lunch completely. because of this incident. Will NEVER return to Whole Foods after this
My favorite whole pocket place! Staff is fantastic and friendly! Products are very organized and and easy to locate! As far as cost, the friendly staff, quality of foods and produce variety merits its vaule! 😀
Clean, relatively spacious Whole Foods store that is well stocked. They have hot/cold food buffet as well as sushi, pizza, and sandwiches. Theres also a coffee bar. Staff is friendly and ample room for parking.
Starting to show its age but has the amazon hub which is a plus
Beautiful location.. however the ladies in the hot food (🍕section) needs to be in a different section. Not pleasant enough to work with people
Great shopping experience, but the prices are high.
This whole foods is well stocked, very clean, and staffed by the most friendly and helpful grocery store employees anywhere. I shop here only occasionally, but I am always impressed with my experience, especially with staff; I rate them one hundred stars out of five! Thank you!
They could use a more authentic selection of international products, but I come for produce and fish because they’re the best store around for fresh stuff.
I prefer the Whole Foods West Orange, NJ location over the Whole Foods Vauxhall, NJ location because the staff at West Orange Whole Foods are friendly, courteous, and professional; however, for some odd reason West Orange Whole Foods sells goods past the expiration date. I thought when I experienced this after purchasing a box of Simple Mills Soft Baked Bars in April 2021 it was just an oversight, but I purchased a box of toasted coconut flavored Konery Artisanal Waffle Cones on April 30th of 2021 that had an expiration date of January 18th 2021. I know I should have checked before purchasing especially after the first experience, but Ive always thought of Whole Foods as a trusted store that sells fresh whole foods and products and I didnt have a reason to question the freshness of the items I purchased. Now I know better...will thoroughly check everything I buy from Whole Foods.
Poor service not anything like the one in Knoxville t.n. 😁
Every single one of the employees here is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. If the person you ask doesnt know the answer, he or she will go find out for you. Clean wide aisles and beautiful produce. Mask up to enter and make sure it covers your damn nose. The pandemic aint over, yall.
This Whole Foods seems to have less produce than others. Thats why I mostly shop at Whole Foods when I cant find what I need from a small, local market.
Its a beautiful store. Very well laid out. They have everything one would want in a super store.
Nice Open Spaces good variety of foods very quick Lines no standing outside mask must be worn at all times
Very nice shopping but some items were hard to find.
Well stocked Whole Foods! They have EVERYTHING!
They had lemon berry Kombucha - score!
So many online shoppers in the store i felt like i was in the way doing my own shopping.
I love going to Whole Foods is very clean very nice people never too crowded
Nice store 👍
I purchased two pieces of salmon steak on 12/28 in the afternoon. I wanted to cook it for dinner, it was spoiled. I called the store to warn them talked to a very unprofessional and rude manager. His simple reply was ‘we are not selling spoiled salmon’ . A prudent merchant should at least check the salmon and product before answering at the least for the welfare of other customers including the rest of the salmon in the store. Planning to file a complaint with the County of Essex Health Department so that due inspections are conducted in the store after such a irresponsible response. No company should use its domain position in bad faith and jeopardize the health of people.
Is it just my imagination or different whole food stores are different in price of their products? This one is among the pricier ones!
Just went in to get coffee. Looks clean. Covid protected. They are very safe over here.
My fav store..you got all the things when you are planning to turn to vegan or to healthy diet. Normally very clean and organized..best to visit at store open times..evenings you will see lot of crowd
All of the produce, cheese, fish and meat departments are fresh with a wide variety. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The already prepared foods are tasty. I always find great choices at good prices. Love that the cashiers are careful with handling my purchases and pack them nicely. That means a lot to me.
Absolutely love Whole Foods. Prices are a little bit better since Amazon took over. Still clean, affordable and great customer service. You can purchase 3 types of water, to detox with, alkaline and revised osmosis, from 30 cents to 99 cents a gallon.. great deal. Bring your own clean bottle please.
Two times Ive done Amazon returns through this store and have had problems with Charlene. The first time, she made me wait while she finished her conversation with her friend. Today, she wouldnt wait on me, and made me wait for the other person who was already busy. I guess Im not coming back to this one again.
Great variety of foodWell displayed good buys. Great tasting samples. Breads and home made desserts?
Nice environment. A little pricey but I usually find what Im looking for.
I havent been in this store in at least a year but was near a place I had to go. Very good experience still in the middle of the Pandemic. I went in, grabbed few things like japanese and purple stone sweet potatoes which are hard to find elsewhere. I also like the 360 brand extra-firm tofu!!They had avocado sale fo Prime members too, and I was all set Im minutes. Used the self service lane and all was good!
My favorite store in NJ
Called the bakery today and the lady who picked up was very rude. You can do better and be better!
Just bought two pints of heavy cream dated January 21, 2021 and both were spoiled. Previously have reached into the poultry case and found leaky packages. Don’t recommend shopping here for anything you can’t immediately verify the quality of.
They have the best organic stuff
Please contact your local Whole food corporate center. This location is dirty. We found small lice and mites on the motor belt where you place your foods. This place needs a better sanitary rules and guidelines for everyone. If you see something say something. Disgusting experience.
Location is great very convenient take care of your grocery list and other things plus the best veggie pizza ever
You get all the higher end stuff you expect from an organic supermarket. You want organic, here you go. You on Amazon prime? Shop here for discounts, or better yet have it delivered for free!
This was my polling place
The West Orange store has created a safe place to shop. They are doing a good job managing the flow of customers. Was happy to see the great selection of vegetables, fruits and fish. Thank you Whole Foods!
Well stocked vegetable department
I purchased some great steaks Yummy!
Always a good place to shop for hard to find items
Great SAFE Food! I can find everything I need organic or not. Local farms. Wonderful salad bar! Try their blueberries and pomegranate mixed its so good!! Muffins and baked goods are to die for! IF, YOU CAN AFFORD IT!!!
I am giving 5 stars because of what I saw today. After each customer transaction, the cashier sprays and wipes the belt before the next customer. The cashier and the person bagging changes their gloves after each transaction. There are wipes at the entrance and the exit also around the meat section. While prices are high for things, I would continue to shop there because of the conscious effort they make to protect us and their frontline employees. I have NOT seen that at any other supermarkets.Thank you Whole Food.
The vegan pizza is out of this world
Great, good service, good selection, & very good cleanliness
During these hard times your employees do not manage crowd well nor obey the rules they enforce on shoppers.I saw one of your workers taking off the face mask to speak to his colleague, the other worker physically turned a woman away from the self service checkout stations as she didnt have gloves (not sure how touching produce with bare hands is allowed but touching self-service kiosks is not, but in this case verbal instructions would be enough).
It was awful. Workers filling orders were not observing social distancing and basically made it very difficult to shop. Bad idea whole foods. These people are at risk.
Love this location everyone is always helpful!
Extreme covid protection. Felt safe. Friendly service. In and out service. Rare nowadays.
Love their fresh fruits and organic groceries. So many options to browse compare to the other town. One of favorite grocery shopping place.
Just got two sandwiches from the sandwich bar. The Italian stallion and tried to order a hot sandwich but they had no pork butt. No problem, ordered another one with breaded chk cutlet. The guy was reading off the card and still managed to make both wrong. Instead of arugula on mine I got about four whole leaves of basil. The prosciutto was so thick and sinewy I spit out couple bites and threw the rest of the sandwich out. The hot sandwich was made with grilled chicken instead of breaded and when my husband asked he was told they’re also out of breaded chicken cutlets. I’m sorry but you’re telling me the entire Whole Foods store is out of breaded chicken cutlet? It’s noon on a Monday. And he was going to just make with grilled without letting us know? Doesn’t take much to provide decent service, this guy didn’t try at all. Won’t be back.
All food is organic,so healthy and delicious. especially the cookies 😱😱😱😮
Easy to find items. Customer service was exceptional! Great selection for a great supermarket and the prices are decent and affordable.
I love Whole Foods. The food and produce is fresh and good quality. They have unique items as well. The prepared food is delicious and the bakery department is amazing. The prices are a bit higher but well worth it.
Whole foods is a wonderful place to shop. If you are into vegan and organic, this is the place for you.
Register Nightmare... Very disengaged employees around
I enjoy getting my things that I know only whole foods has!
Large variety of all types of incense, including incense specifically designed for each of the chakras. Very nice and kind people. Maria, Mike and Fran are amazing. They also have yoga equipment!
For groceries, this wholefoods is excellent. They have a wide variety of products. Seafood section is the best Ive ever experienced. I deducted a star because their prepared food section and buffet can be better. They have a great selection of soups, but they need more vegetarian/vegan hot food options. Too many greasy cheese filled foods. They have a burger section and there is a sign for a veggie burger option, guess what? They never have the veggie burger. One reviewer is right, more cleanliness and having a fresh selection in the buffet is needed.
Self checkout is great when youre in a rush
This store is a convenient location, so I spend a lot of my money there. I should probably rate it higher since it’s clean, well-stocked, and the staff is generally courteous. But my review is solely based on the unsafe experience I had yesterday—given the times, chaos reigning at the cashier points because no staff member is dedicated to direct people with safe social distancing in mind puts a lot of people in peril and is not acceptable. This is done in a very strict and sustained manner at Shoprite and Wegmans! Yesterday, because it was very busy, cashiers had to yell at customers to try and direct them to different checkout points, causing some of us to pile up so close to one another that physical contact was inevitable. From what I’ve been observing at this Wholefoods lately, is that preference is given to service curbside pickup and home deliveries. There are more and more staff members scurrying around inside the shop to fill these orders and they continually bump into your cart and reach over you to get items from the shelves. I believe the impact of this practice on those of us who do our shopping in person should be reported to higher authorities so that stricter measures can be called for.
Absolutely love Whoole Foods. Prices are a little bit better since Amazon took over. Still clean, affordable and great customer service. You can purchase 3 types of water, to detox with, alkaline and revised osmosis, from 30 cents to 99 cents a gallon.. great deal. Bring your own clean bottle please.
It is the most orderly grocery store I ever visited.
