Excellent job on my 2014 GMC. My 6l80 transmission started to tear itself apart. TC shutter and failure. Thanks GM for building a junk trans. But AutoTrans did a complete rebuild and replaced all the garbage parts that came with this transmission and flushed the cooler. They also gave me the option for a HD billet TC for an extra $100. Great deal. I Dropped off the truck Monday night and they were done by Friday afternoon. Truck shifts better than ever and the price was very reasonable. Great place.

Was referred to Auto Trans MD by a friend of Mike and Sam’s who also happens to do my truck’s routine oil changes. Had suspicion of transmission failure in my ‘16 Sierra 2500. Brought the truck by the shop Monday morning, Mike tested the transmission fluid which showed evidence of metal, so suggested a transmission rebuild. Dropped the truck off later that day and the truck was ready to roll by Thursday afternoon. Super professional, personable, efficient, all at an extremely reasonable price point and a job well done. Being new to this state, we had no idea where to go for service on our cars. Great experience! Brought in my 2015 Dodge Durango to have the lifters replaced. Sam was amazing. Very helpful and explained things thoroughly. He even kept the old parts to show me where the damage was so I could see it for myself. Both owners worked for Dodge for over 20 years, so this is why I came to them. I’ve been to Sam’s shop a few times with my 2011 Chevy Cruze, almost each time with problems I don’t understand or have a hard time explaining. No matter what is it, Sam and his partner Mike WILL figure it out and resolve the issue. Time is no problem cause they always focus on the job issuing the best quality work possible in timely manner. I would personally like to thank Auto Trans M.D. for a great experience. I have had horrible experiences in the past trying to find a good mechanic, but I will not have to look any further. I took my vehicle in for a noise in my transmission and the gentlemen there had me back in my car the following day, which was surprising as another mechanic told me I would need to rent a car for 3-5 days. Normally for a woman at mechanics shop, you are very skeptical, but the price paid was almost 30% less than my original quote and was back in my car quickly. As a result of this great experience, my husband has taken his truck in for a tune-up and have referred 3 of my friends for service. Thank you again Auto Trans!!!

I used these guys for years before they decided to open up Auto Trans M.D., they are fantastic. I remember when I found them, I had taken my jeep to 3 different places to get it diagnosed, all them kept telling me I needed a new transmission and gave me ridiculous prices, would not do a rebuild. There was also something wrong electrically that no one could find. Mike and Sam at the time were at a local dealer as mechanics. I took my jeep there and meet both of them for the first time. They offered me a rebuild on my transmission, did a fantastic job and found the electrical problem that no one else could find. Since then I have been using them, going on 18 years now. They are the absolute best at diagnosing the problem correctly. They do not just throw parts at it to try and fix it, then keep charging you for more and more work. If it could be multiple things, they are upfront about it, let you know what the options are and help you come up with the best plan of how to proceed. Whether be starting with the most likely option, or starting with the cheapest option and working your way up. Amazing customer service, and they have the utmost integrity. I would send my grandmother there with any fear she is going to get taken advantage of. They do what is right and really care about taking care of their customers. If you go anywhere else you are throwing away money!!!

Everything about the suspension on my truck was going bad and they fixed it perfectly and quickly so I could have my truck back on the highway as fast as the parts could get there and I won’t be bringing my cars/trucks to any other shop with how well they worked with me on the price and my hectic schedule. DO NOT LET SAM TOUCH YOUR TRUCK!! He tells ya it will be a fast repair and takes over a week to give it back to you not working properly! Tells me it’s Relearning!!! Ha! Yeah right it relearned itself on the side of 95 in rush hour traffic, ima dispute the credit card and find me a shop somewhere else! Don’t be fooled by their so called “experience” because not only did they leave me stranded on 95 but they left bolts out of my torque converter and one deiveshaft bolt was missing! This place is no where near reliable, and is a very small place in a ghetto warehouseIn response to the threats made against me, you did not properly fix my truck nor did I say not to properly fix my truck! As far as threatening to sue me, it is clearly stated in google that the public has a right to review you and state their opinion! What kind of business owner tries to resolve an issue by threatening a customer instead of reaching out in response to rectify the problem! Your response in itself should be a red flag that people should stay far away from your crooked establishment! Your not even a licensed facility ima do my homework on ya now since you wanna threaten me.
