Sure they have a nice store, nice selection of gear, however.... from the minute I walked in the negative energy was thick. I took a New Sony A7 III in to have sensor cleaned, ($70.00). Being the only customer in the shop I thought I might receive a little extra care.....Wrong. Absolutely no customer service skills at all. Over priced, unfriendly business, still require mask to be worn (signs everywhere) There are many places to spend your money...think twice.

Pro shop is absolutely amazing. I ALWAYS appreciate good customer service. And when I do encounter great customer service I will always remain loyal. I am a loyal customer of this establishment from the day i purchased my first camera from them a few months back. The entire staff is always knowledgeable and helpful but my buddy Mike is the man! He sold me my first camera and has been there to help me ever since. As a beginning photographer he puts up with all my questions lol and passes along knowledge to help me learn. If youre a photographer in the south Florida area this should bee your go to photography home! They have everything you need and are always helpful! Forever a loyal customer!

I went to look for something because I have a photo session later on today and it wouldn’t arrive on time if I ordered it, the old guy with the pony tail is very very rude! He was not being helpful at all, it’s like he didn’t want me in the store. It was around 4:15 and he kept saying : “we’re closing soon” just so I could leave. Never again, I’m taking my money else where next time!

I bought a faulty lens from them. When I contacted them their response was it was fine before it left our place.1. Are you saying I did something to it?2. Good customer service is to at least offer to look at it.3. They had me contact Sony for help. This lens was 2 two weeks old, Used once. It was almost 800. I understand that their are people out there that take advantage of the returns process. I never once asked for a return or exchange. I just wanted some guidance.I called Sony and they are replacing the lens base on the issue. I have to ship the old one to them, wait for them to receive it in Connecticut and let them do their thing, then they’ll replace it.If this is the gamble you are willing to do vs buying at Best Buy or Amazon, then this place works for you. For me I’d buy a used lens or a filter if I had to. I do not recommend.

Awesome shop and staff. They have a lot in stock. Willing to take the time to show, try lens and educate what’s best for your use. Felt warm and welcoming. I am a rookie beginner asked a lot of questions and they were Patient and willing to explain. They also price match and are the same price as online. So why go else where and get the knowledge. This will be my shop for now on. No need to go to Best Buy to get the same product, when I get full service here.

Had a great experience with Mike. As a newer photographer, it is really key to be able to walk in and ask questions without the pressure of purchasing. I didnt buy today, it was a research run, but they will get every dollar I spend on gear for a long time if they keep up that level of service.

This shop is Awesome. Steve and Mike, both, offer a wealth of information and are always ready and willing to answer questions. More than a couple of times when I have been in a pickle, while on a job as a real estate photographer and my equipment was not working as it should, they have calmly and politely helped me to troubleshoot and find a resolution. I am highly impressed with their customer service.Product selection and supply is top-notch, as well. Dont go shopping here while youre hungry. Youll want to buy everything in the shop. I wont buy from any other store.AND as an added bonus, if youre looking to learn more about photography, 10% of the cost of every purchase can be applied toward instructional classes at The Palm Beach Photographic Center, located one floor up!Thank you, guys.

RUDE RUDE RUDE, Ive shopped here out of PURE NECESSITY but trust me when I tell you that if you dont know what you need, DO NOT ASK THEM ! they will treat you like you know nothing, then shove all kinds of items (you dont need) down your throat, and worst of all, they are rude about it. Its really no wonder Amazon is taking the business from these guys, they are terrible. do yourself the favor and go on youtube, do your own research and if you HAVE TO, go there for what you want specifically and get the hell out, seriously.

Having moved to FLA from NYC, I was concerned I might have a hard time finding a photo shop that could offer a wide range of services. One visit to the Pro Shop in West Palm Beach put all those fears out of my mind. I have been visiting them over the past year, and have always found the team; Mike, Jim, and Steve, to be friendly, knowledgeable, and easy going. I always walk away with my questions satisfied, and never any pressure to make a purchase. When the time came for me to upgrade my equipment (Nikon D850 and assorted accessories) Jim was very helpful in getting me up to speed. Even after the purchase they have all been helpful with any issues I ran across. If you have any interest in things photographic, stop by the Pro Shop. It’s a great resource!

I am utterly unimpressed with this place. I’ve been in there twice and dealt with the same employee both times. I have been a photographer for years, and have my degree in photographic technology. This guy tried to give me blatant misinformation both times. The first time, he was trying to push me to buy a very expensive camera that was utterly wrong for what I was shopping a new camera for, lying and telling me it was full frame(it wasn’t) and the one I had in mind was a mini sensor (it wasn’t)- but I shrugged it off as an unscrupulous guy trying to make money and assuming I don’t have background knowledge.Today, however, I came in looking for a staple piece if you shoot nikon and use Paul c buff strobes. I was looking for a transponder adaptor for my hot shoe. The employee tried to tell me that no such thing exists. Hahahaha. The thing is, he also informed me that I would have to have my hot shoe replaced. If I was a novice and was in there looking to gather info, that would have cost me a %#?!#* ton of money, rather than just ordering an $8 piece it going to another shop, since they are super common to have on hand. I was just going to grab a new one rather than have to dig through all my stuff to find my stash. Now I know the problem is that this guy just has no real knowledge and makes things up instead of simply saying, “I don’t know but let me look it up real quick” or “I’m not sure let me ask so-in-so”.If I could give lower than a single star I would. Makes me want to contact the bbb.

I bought a Nikon SB-910 from the ProShop in a hurry because mine died right before a wedding shoot on a Saturday and I didnt pay attention to the price since I knew I would be paying retail and had no choice. I normally buy from Amazon or B&H, but this was an emergency and I no choice. I was charged $586.00 + tax and I left. The next day I looked up the price of the SB-910 and everyone had it for $546.00 including the Nikon website! When I contacted the ProShop about the price discrepancy they told me that when they purchased that flash into inventory, the price was higher so there was nothing they could do. They did not accept returns and they did not honor price matching even though Nikons website clearly stated the lower price as MSRP. Buyer beware is all I can say.

A+ in Customer Care-I live in Vero Beach, about an hour north of West Palm, where there are no more camera shops. Your only choices are the big box stores where they really cannot educate you on the camera. So, I drove to ProShop for Photographers after work on a Friday afternoon to get help with an older Canon camera that I hoped to use for my small business. I need to be able to take pictures of windows, but they are always overexposed. By the time I navigated downtown traffic and found a parking spot, I showed up at their door a few minutes after closing time. Not only did they let me in and listen to my problem, they took the time to resolve it. The bottom line was you had to know how to get around the camera to reset it. Thank you to the team at ProShop for Photographers for your knowledge and going above and beyond in resolving my issue!

Our Canon Eos 5d Mark II is used to photograph and identify spotted and bottlenose dolphins in our research out in the Bahamas. We noticed some black spots on our photos and after a thorough cleaning of the lens as per the manual, some of the marks remained on our photos. I took the camera to the professionals at ProShop for Photographers. Their very friendly and knowledgeable staff took the time to show me the debris on the sensor. I left it in their capable hands to clean it, walked down Clematis for lunch and they had it cleaned perfectly and ready to go when I returned. They answered a few questions I had and made some kind recommendations. ProShop for Photographers is highly recommended by The Wild Dolphin Project, a non-profit scientific research organization.

I called for days about the new Canon 1dx mark II asking about stock and if they had it available. I tried to purchase the camera the day it arrived and my card had daily limit issues so I had to leave it for the day. They said they would hold it for me but when I came back to purchase they had sold it to someone else. I was also going to purchase 2x go pro blacks + accessories. He just lost $7k+. What useless people. Dont give these guys the time of day.

I went to look at and possibly purchase a tripod and flash bracket. I felt like I was putting the guy out by asking for help explaining the features of a couple different tripods. When I asked about a flash bracket all they had in stock was something over $400. I said jokingly, thats a lot of money just to swivel your flash isnt it?. What I didnt expect was his reply in a very serious tone... Yeah, well its heavy duty and made in the USA, but I guess thats not what you want. It was then that I decided not to do business with them at all, ever. Sometimes people have a bad day and I understand that, but his attitude was unacceptable. The following week I was in Ft. Lauderdale and visited Calumet Photographic where the staff was incredibly helpful and actually happy to help me. They took care of everything I needed. Thank you Larry at Calumet for being the epitomy of customer service.

5 stars squaredMy husband was a photographer and he loved his equipment. When he died, I had the job of selling 4 Leicas and many lenses. A $8000 lens was slipped into someones pocket and the Photography Stores near me took my equipment 2 1/2 years ago and I havent seen many sales. I took all the left over equipment and drove them to WPB. The man asked to help me carry the equipment and took most of it. Yesterday I got a check for $22.50. And it was the latest of several. My contract says the equipment only needs to be held 3 months unless changed. I didnt change, but this store is honest! 2 1/2 yrs later!!!

Local knowledge & serviceWas there looking at the 5D III Saturday and Sunday evening I made the decision to purchase. I had a flight to NY at noon and they open at 10am ... called at 10am sharp while in route to confirm they still had the camera - which the did. I asked to un-box, charge the battery, put on the strap, put on the lens, etc. so I could pay, drop it in my backpack and make it to PBI to catch my flight. They did all that ... I was in and out, caught my flight and taking NY skyline shots that same night.I appreciated the time Saturday reviewing the cameras features with me and then coming through for me Monday morning as I was in a rush. Thanks guys!James

Have been to the Pro Shop on several occasions, only once making a purchase due to their condescending approach to customer service. I wanted to buy the Canon 70-200 IS USM 2.8 II and went there to purchase it. I was told by the person working the counter that they dont honor Canons Rebates due to them not getting paid back by Canon. EVERY Canon dealer in the country has the same $400 dollar rebate being offer except the Pro Shop I guess. So their price was (The sales person told me The price is the price) was $2699, well I ended up ordering it for $2099 from B&H photo. I paid no tax and free shipping. I always want to buy local, but with a $600 difference I just cant do. I will not go back nor with I send people there with that type of the price is the price sort of attitude. My local place in Michigan matched most everything B&H sold, I also found out that Best Buy also matches B&H, but these guys must just know that the Palm Beachers will pay whatever they have as their asking price.
