Ive been working with Lust For Tone for a few years now and am a believer in their vision. They offer premium products at competitive price points. Ive tried several sets of their pickups in several different guitars and they always deliver. On top of that, I own one of their Holy Relic Lustcaster guitars and it is, as expected, a fantastic instrument. Greg and crew are true music fans, gear nerds and tone seekers just like the rest of us. They dont cut corners in design or materials and their attention to detail in sound, aesthetic and even product packaging feel intentional and satisfying. Couldnt recommend them enough!
Lust for Tone is an exceptional company. The pickups & gear they make are all hand done and unmatched in the guitar product field. The attention to detail is astounding, as well as the tone. Top build quality. The pickups have a beautiful blend of having just enough of their own woody, vibrant character, while still being transparent enough to honor the tone of your guitar. Great customer service, personalized experience. Cant say enough good things.
The work Lust for Tone has done for me has always been incredible. The guitars they are making are second to none. The repair, and set up work is top notch. Nobody sets my guitars up better. Lust for Tone helps me satisfy my own Lust for Tone. Thanks Guys!
A great place for all your guitar needs. Expert workmanship. I highly recommend Lust For Tone!
I have been going to Tom from Lust For Tone to work on my guitars for years and he has earned my trust! Fast, efficient, and fair ! I feel VERY lucky to have found him !
Thom has been doing all of my guitar work for many years because he does what can only be characterized as fantastic work! This last go round was to finalize a superior SS fret job on my beloved McCarty. OMG! It feels better than a handful of t!t!But Im cursing him for letting me play his personal #1 LFT Strat. Ive never considered myself a Strat guy because I could never get good tone out of one. Damn you, Thom! This things plays, feels and sounds too good to get out of my mind!
I’ve been using Lust ForTone pickups exclusively in all of my non vintage guitars for quite a few years now. In regard to PAF style pickups they seem to have nailed the tone of my favorite PAF pickups with their 57 Lustbucker set. Now I realize that all of the PAFs have different characteristics which is responsible in part for the different iconic tones we all love. To address this Lust For Tone offers different models each representing the differences between them. I have had the opportunity to use each of these models in various types of guitars and there is a model that accurate represents each variance in PAF tone. They offer as well several hotter models like the Atomics which provide you with killer rock tones as well. Right now I am having a guitar built by one of the premier guitar builders in the world and of course it will feature Lust For Tone pickups. I have found them to be the most accurate pickup and there is no need for me to shop elsewhere. Kenny Rardin Rardin Guitar Specialties. St Paul Minnesota
LFTs luthier/tech, Tom Grose, has been my go-to, for years.Hes done it all...from basic setups on acoustics and electrics, to more intricate tasks, such as installing pickups and a wiring harness in a semi-hollow body. Toms done trouble-shooting and conquered ghosts in the machine, on more than one instrument.Hes created compensated saddles, and, fashioned nuts to my specs, from bone blanks, and, has also installed the current pickup systems, in all of my acoustics.Among other tasks, hes partially re-fretted my Collings OM1, which had been PLEKd twice in its 14 years. It plays like brand new. To do hand work, following a PLEK machine, with these results, to me, is incredible.Tom has done restorative work on two vintage instruments for me, as well...an early 70s SG and an 83 Taylor 710, both with necks, broken at the head stock. It takes a skilled eye to realize that there was ever an issue. Hes re-fretted the Taylor, as well. Plays like Butter. All this and more, including dealing with a customer demanding close attention to detail, garners Tom Grose (hence, LFT) a 5 STAR Rating!!!Keep up the great work!Next up...a new, LFT drop in pick guard/wiring assembly, for my Jimmy Vaughn model Strat. Hmm...64 or 57 Lustcaster, or, one of the Fillmore sets, of pickups..?
