I had scheduled a appointment on Friday of last week 5-21-21 at 8 am! We get there and bout 745 and we wait and 8am comes and goes...he rolled in bout 815 and goes inside and 830 comes and goes so I told my wife i was gonna walk up to the office and he dont even say hey or nothing ...jus starts to tell me about something he had to finish from the previous day so he starts to work on it and we sit there till 10am and told him to call us wen hes done and made sure he new my name and number and he has yet to call me!

Mel, the owner is a gentlemen that I have known for 5 years. The best part is that he is knowledgeable and unlike many others will not overcharge you. I live in Springfield and am perfectly fine taking my vehicles to him in West Plains. You will not regret visiting with Mel.

Tabby, you are being less than truthful, in your review!First as you know I do not work for or have influence with the owner.I was there when you brought your $1,000.00Ford truck in. There was almost no oil in itThere was no antifreeze in it.After knowing the owner for 20 plus years.I have watched him not charge customers,seen him work all night to get someone’s car out.. as he did with your truck he charged you book rate NOT total hours spent to fix it and make it safe for you to drive to New Mexico.The bolt you speak of was a water pump boltIn a water jacket, severely eaten by electrolysis!Any other shop would have charged you double what you were charged!!You really need to re think your review!! You were treated with respect and fairly.

Beyond fair, beyond reasonable, extremely honest and very friendly. Mel is a great man and mechanic. Knows too much about cars for his own good. Highly recommend!

My car started running very rough and jerky and the check engine light started flashing 5 hours into a cross country road trip. It was after 5pm and we were worried that we wouldnt be able to find an open repair shop. We googled and found this place two minutes away. They were closed, but they proceeded to fix the problem and we were back on the road. It was very reasonably priced and most importantly the problem was fixed and we made it safely to our destination on the West coast. We are so grateful they worked after hours to help us. They really saved us!

Mel is great! He seeks out to save you money on your repairs. Have never had problems with the work. I have no worries about him trying to over charge or charge for unnecessary repairs.

This shop saved the day when we were broken down while passing through West Plains on the way to Arkansas. Fast, friendly, and able to both figure out what was wrong, obtain a replacement part, and do the repair and get us back on the road in less than five hours after our total breakdown. Very pleased with the service and helpfulness!

Mel is very fair and honest. He has been my mechanic for years. Wouldnt go anywhere else!

This person stole 300 dollars from me. He quoted me 453 to put in a water pump install a centerline, tie rods, and bushing. While installing my water pump, his mechanic broke a bolt and a drill bit off, told me it was his fault and charged me for it. Then he did an oil, oil filter, and antifreeze change without my permission and charged me for it too. Im heading down to the courthouse right now to sue! Run screaming from this thief!
