I have to preface this review with the fact that I did not end up finalizing a purchase with Louis Marine due to a disagreement I got into with one of the owners. That being said, you might ask why the five star review...well heres the truth, I was being unreasonable with my requests of Louis Marine. I misunderstood what I was being told during the sales process in relation to the installation of accessories and because the misunderstanding arose at the absolute last moment of the delivery process I felt like I was having the terms of our arrangement voided. That lead to a heated argument and ended with me leaving with my loan check and out a few thousand dollars due to my stubbornness and pride. In hindsight what I was asking and expecting from Tim was a bit unreasonable.All of the last minute issues aside, I had been looking for a boat for a few years, I had never quite found anything that was quite like a Jeanneau. There is simply nothing else comparable in that price point that offers the options and features along with quality fit and finish. I searched for two years prior and over a year after and still have not found a boat I would have purchased and been happy with. So at the end of the day, even though I didnt end up buying I still would recommend these guys. They have a far superior product to anything else available in the market and they are very willing to work with you. If I could go back I definitely would have purchased from them. Pride can make us do foolish things!

Back in 2013, we ordered a new boat from somewhere else. The experience was pretty awful. For one, the wait was painful -- no updates, no communication whatsoever, and when the boat finally came in months later, it had the wrong interior color and multiple other issues. Once we launched the boat, we became parasites to the dealer. Minor warranty repairs became 6+ month affairs, getting a returned call was like demanding someones first born child, and the list goes on.Our experience with Louis Marine couldnt have been more opposite. We ordered a new boat from them last year and took delivery this summer. Throughout the wait for our new beauty to come in, Mike kept us informed and passed along updates from the factory, and he was super responsive even when I was sure I was becoming super annoying with question after question.We took delivery 3 months ago and theyve been awesome still. Weve had a couple of minor factory-driven issues that Mike and his team were ALL OVER. Not only have they made special trips up to where were keeping our boat in RI to address the issues, but Matt on their team has proactively checked in with us a couple of times to make sure that everything is going good. And whenever we have questions, Matt is all over them like white on rice within a day or two, at most.I share these two polar opposite boat buying experiences because buying a new (or used) boat is a huge financial and time commitment, and I know now that a good dealer makes all the difference. I can honestly say with experience that the team at Louis Marine are the real deal. Were glad to be customers of theirs and hope to be for many years to come!

This is a family owned business that really cares about customer service; it is self-evident when you work with them. Making such a large purchase can be daunting but the fair and honest treatment received from the Louis Marine team made the process easy and we feel so good about the purchase. My brother Fred and his wife Dorene had been searching for a new boat.. We stopped in at Louis Marine Ltd.. Mike showed them an 18 center console Wellcraft. Well they ended up buying the boat.. Recently purchased a 2018 Wellcraft 182 Fisherman form Louis Marine. I got a great deal on the boat because it was their show boat over the winter. Like most show boats, (or any new craft) some minor things were missing(seat cover, broken hasp on helm cover, frayed bungee on cooler). These things are expected, and if you have ever bought a new boat you will find small things like this that need repair. The difference between other dealerships and Louis Marine, is customer service. Matt Finch and the team have time and time again shown me that they care about their customers beyond the day they sign for the boat, and continue to do so even after several months. Most dealers forget you exist the moment you sign, not here. I highly recommend Louis Marine.

Stopped by their exhibit at NYC Boat Show yesterday. Never seen salesmen be so snubby toward people in my life. While my family was on one of their boats, a sales guy (younger one) had the guts to say out loud that 95% of these people shouldnt even be here. Not sure what they were expecting from this event, but people paid money to get in and look at boats. Yes, not all of them are buyers at that very moment, but they obviously express interest in boating, which is something that boating industry should value tremendously seeing how much this industry has struggled in recent history (btw, these sales guys looked like they couldnt afford a dinghy of their own, never mind one of the boats they are trying to sell). My family owns a boat and keep it right down the road from this Dealer. When Im ready to upgrade, I sure as heck not going to do business with them. There are plenty of other dealers in that area who treat people well. Dont waste your time here.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mike and the Louis Marine Crew at the Jacob Javits Boat Show in Jan 2017. I had been craving to get back on the water for years !! My father had a boat when I was a kid but I just didnt have the time (or money) to take the plunge. 2017 was the year though, I was ready, I just wasnt sure what exactly was my best fit. Im not that handy, I love to hang out with family and friends and I enjoy fishing. I needed a new ( or newer ) versatile vessel to fit all my needs. Mike recommended the new Four Winns Vista Series. The boat is just absolutely gorgeous !! Everything inside and out is just jaw dropping and Four Winns makes use of every single inch. I felt Mike worked with me as best he could on price, we both felt we made a good deal. He even assisted me in getting a trailer....If thats where the relationship stopped I would have no reason to leave a 5 star review. Anyone can sell a boat, sell a trailer, deliver it and say thanks for your business and walk away. The entire team at Louis Marine to this very day has still been 100% behind me. Its been awhile since I was behind the wheel of a boat, or even consistently being a passenger on one. That being said I have had several questions and concerns over the last couple months. Any question ? BOOM answered in a matter of hours ! Any concern ? BOOM put to rest in a matter of hours. I even had a slight issue with a minor system within a couple weeks. Louis Marines parts department warrantied the part and Mike himself was there the next week to replace and test it !! Not many owners out there like that anymore. Great People, Great Product.

We traveled from upstate NY to Louis Marine in April 2017 and decided in one day to purchase a new Cutwater from Mike Bassett who took us out for a sea trial on the same day! Dealing with Mike LaPorte, Penny and Raul has been a great experience. They are professional, courteous and friendly....and TODAY IS THE DAY Mike Bassett will deliver the boat 3.5 hours away to Lake George NY for a day long orientation prior to handing over the keys to us. We could not be more pleased or excited for this new adventure! They have a good working relationship with Fluid Motion LLC, the Seattle boat manufacturer of Ranger Tugs and Cutwater boats which has made this a seamless transition. I highly recommend Louis Marine for your next boating adventure!!
