Staff is very nice & lets you shop in peace. Lots of very cool international foods. I came here after seeing it listed on Atlas Obscura to try the cheese cake candy. Very good and found some other goodies while here too. 1 hour street parking in front of the store.

What a charming and beautiful little shop. I love their candied fruit, malted beverages and seaweed salad. Things are priced perfectly, and they keep a wide variety of products. Books, ornate pots and pans, nesting dolls of every size, coffee and teas, a deli counter and a refrigerated section containing imported dairy and frozen treats. Many dry goods as well, it’s where I get my buckwheat grains. Towards the back is a discount shelf surrounded by beverages of all flavors and varieties, including preserved fruits and vegetables. The women running the store never fail to make you feel welcome, so don’t put off supporting this unique gem of a shop.

The frozen blintzes are great, as well as the frozen perogi, and the Mother Goose chicken liver pate at the deli counter.

Love this place. Makes me Hungry!! Extensive assortment of mostly eastern European foods. We especially like the caviar for holidays and the unique meats and cheeses. They recently expanded the shopping area as well

This is Russian store, where they sell Russian food: the food we accustomed to back in Russia.I drove 3 hours from North of Maine to get there, because there are no similar store anywhere closer. And I am very glad I did. I bought 4 sorts of fish preserves (salted, marinated, smocked fish), some bakery, and some conserves and milk products, Ceylon tea. Every thing was very fresh. Selection is huge. There are several sorts of tvorog, for example. The one I bought was excellent. I will go there again. Service is very nice there too. I love Medeo market. They have a great selection of Eastern European food and the ladies are very helpful. The candy selection is yummy.

This store saves me a drive to Boston for some of the great ethnic foods! Great selection of Russian and Eastern European dry goods, frozen and deli items and some general store and even pharmacy merchandise as well.

A little pricey but neat little Northern European market. Russian food galore. Meats as well as jams and lots of goodies in a small space.

Very few markets in Maine have Russian or eastern European food. Medeo is a must if that is what you want.
