Didn’t have the equipment I rented beforehand in stock when I arrived, put me on a machine that wasn’t even remotely comparable, and then when I finally got it to the job site and unloaded it, the leveling jacks would not click in, due to them admitting it was repaired wrong last time. (big safety feature, machine won’t operate without them) they proceeded to send a tech out 2 different times without the right parts, and then 5 days into my 7 day rental they managed to fix it. They then tried to charge me for a month when I only had it for a week. Terrible company, go with sunbelt, way better customer service and actual quality equipment you would want on your site. Liam, mike, and the manager over there need to figure there stuff out. Big regrets on using this company.

If you want safe equipment that actually works, go to sunbelt rentals. Thats what i should of done instead of waiting a week for united to come and fix the Machine they rented out with bypassed safety features that made it inoperative, and then get charged for a month when you rented for a week. Never again. The techs there, liam i think, even tried to tell our worker to use the lift without the jacks, and how to bypass the whole safety system on it. Hacks over there for sure

Very attentive, early delivery, very nice

My rental experiences with United Rentals in Westbrook have always been top notch. As a business owner we seldom hear of the good things we do for our customers. This is a circumstance where it was necessary for me to take the time to applaud United Rentals, their sales staff, drivers and inside sales representatives like Matt Brooks. This time I ordered the wrong size boom lift and was desperate to get the correct one delivered to our job site before the holiday weekend. Not only was Matt able to find the correct lift, he was able to dispatch the delivery of the new lift and pick up the wrong one on the same day I called it in. One day before they close for Columbus Day weekend. If this does not describe professionalism, empathy and superior customer service, then I dont know what does. Upon arrival Matt was very rude and difficult to deal with. My employees were treated poorly and made to wait. I had already prepaid. After calling in and speaking with Matt, he told me I was wasting (his) time on the phone. Hmmm. Then the chipper malfunctioned and only got 2 hours on an 8 hour rental at $300. Not offered any renumeration even after I called.

A very handsome gentleman greeted me as soon as I arrived and was able to answer all my questions. He even took the time to give me directions back to the highway.
