I booked a 2 hr hot stone session. I let Josh know I usually get deep tissue but just wanted to relax today so thats why I booked that session style. I received what I would call a Sports Massage. Lots of fast-paced vigorous swiping, so fast down my back he wasnt even fully connecting with it - and a LOT of compression. His table needs more padding as during the compression I could feel the support bars painfully underneath my body. Very little hot stone use, very little relaxation. It wasnt a bad massage - just not what i asked to receive. He used oil on my face which was a definite negative - and he ended with a wide hand on my forehead. Felt gross. On the plus side his work on my feet was excellent! While I probably wouldnt go back, he was very professional and courteous and I would encourage athletes to try him out.

I purchased a massage with Eric through Groupon and unfortunately had a bad experience. I called multiple times to try to set up an appointment and was not able to get a response despite leaving messages. I told one of my friends she could have my massage voucher. She spoke to him (after lots of phone tag) and was immediately uncomfortable due to the language he used when she was making the appointment. The massage therapist (I think his name is Eric) said he was looking forward to “servicing her”. I could see why my friend felt uncomfortable. She told Eric she wasn’t going to make an appointment and requested that he refund me. He was supposedly sending out a money order for my refund. That was 4 weeks ago and I have still not received anything. This whole thing has been disappointing and unprofessional on his part

Super disappointed with this business. Over a three week period I called a half a dozen times and left 4 messages. Sent an email as well. It has now been a month since my first message was left and I have yet to get a response. DO NOT RECOMMEND to anyone. So much for the 2 hour gift certificate I have.

I am beyond impressed by Josh’s (aka the muscle/tension whisperer) innate gift of massage therapy. You could tell he really has the ability to hone in on trouble spots- no matter how subtle or obvious. He really takes his time to address an area that may need more work, instead of just going through a routine of standard modalities. I can’t say enough about how great I feel after my first massage with Josh, and will certainly be back again!

Josh is very good. He listens to what your needs are each session. He gives you just what you ask for. I usually get deep tissue which I need for my back and neck. You can’t beat the price either. I definitely recommend trying him out!

Joshs skilled massage therapy is a key part of my wellness program, and has been for several years. In addition to his technical ability, he puts lots of heart into his work. Each session is a real pleasure: not just relaxing, but truly healing.

The door was locked and my husband & i sat outside on the steps for at least half an hour before he finally came and let us in. Thankfully my husband was with me because no one else was there and we were let upstairs into a dark sitting area. I would have been sketched out by myself! The massage was ok, seemed inexperienced. Ambiance was nice.

I think the likelihood is high that Josh started accepting Groupons and his business will go South due to lack of proper business practice. I NEVER leave bad reviews but I was SO discouraged by my experience there.My friend bought me a massage as a sweet gift and although Josh set me up and assured he’d do deep tissue work, another practitioner provided a swedish massage. I complained twice, she said she doesnt do deep tissue, but honestly she did at least try to accommodate a bit. She said I am not the first to complain. This is bad, bad business. Not cool, especially for a healing place...

All around awful. Purchased a groupon December 2018, called multiple times with no answer. Ended up finally scheduling a massage for July 3rd. Being excited about my massage, I was reading up on the business and other reviews. The later reviews were all horrible and talking about no shows so I tried calling to confirm my appointment. I called at least a dozen times leaving messages, maybe more, trying to get in touch with the business. Their voicemail stated they would be out of the office from until the 8th. So he scheduled me on a day he wouldn’t even be there??? It’s about an hour away so I didn’t want to drive there to have him not show up. I finally called Groupon who gave me the chance to trade in the deal for another Groupon transaction. The healing station called me back on a different number saying things came up and wanted me to give them another chance so I repurchased the same deal through Groupon again. BAD CHOICE! This guy is completely unreachable! I have called so many times trying to get in contact with them. Their website is completely gone too! Such a scam. Thankfully Groupon gave me yet another chance to trade in the deal because it was the businesses fault, not mine. Unbelievably poor service and I will never recommend this place to anyone!

The Swedish massage was excellent! So pleased with the experience, relaxing yet worked out all the tension.

I purchased a Groupon and set my appointment weeks in advance. I live far from Westbrook but planned the massage to coincide with a vet appt. in Portland. However, a few days before the appointment, Josh called me to cancel, saying we dont schedule Groupon customers for that day... Which is sketchy because he offered me an appointment the very same day a week later. Its almost as if he was trying to give my time slot to a regular and higher paying customer. Why else would he wait so long to let me know that wasnt a day for Groupons? I asked why they booked me in the first place, and he said that girl who set the appt was new and had since been fired, which I thought was unprofessional to mention. I already have a bad taste in my mouth, Ive been looking forward to this for weeks... Im working on getting my refund and will not be setting a new appt.

Josh is amazing a true healer of the body and soul!He interjects open dialog within massage if you care to, my massage tgerapist of choice!

Josh is a great masseuse and the new space is very accommodating. Highly recommend..

Had an appointment today, showed up to Locked doors and no one there, I waited 15 minutes than I left, pretty unprofessional not to show up if you ask me, could have at least called and canceled so I didnt waste my time.
