One of the most amazing bookstores I have visited! So incredibly comfortable with the most genuine and homey atmosphere. There was a HUGE selection, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I nearly cried when I saw there were two floors, SO amazing!! Highly recommend making a stop at this place.

This bookstore is so cute. The coffee I ordered was delicious and they have an adorable childrens book section and reading room. I normally prefer antique books but they have a good selection of all genres .

Independent bookstores are to be cherished and nurtured. They have become few AND far between. The Savoy Bookshop and Cafe is a sparkling gem in Westerly, RI. It is replete with things from A to Z and the entire downstairs is children and young teens. The staff are perennially friendly and helpful. There are charming touches everywhere and a barista to boot! It is a must stop for me in Westerly and always will be. 🤟 little independent bookstore!

After multiple recommendations I finally got a chance to stop at the Savoy Bookshop... What a gorgeous place! Fantastic book selection, pleasant staff, and a little coffee shop right on site! Its a little off the beaten path for me, but Ill make time to go back!

Two visits in three days. Good coffee and good staff. Brought two grandkids and the loved the little Fairy Doors and Kids Reading Room. Nice to have a local book store!!

So fun just to walk around. The store is beautiful, watch out for little fairy doors along the baseboard. The cafe located inside is excellent as well.

Savoy book store is one of my favorite quiet spots. They serve Daves coffee which is amazing along with a selection of baked in house pastries. There are plenty of nooks and seating places to curl up in and sample literature. All while enjoying your favorite beverage. They have recently added a selection of wine and beer. Savoy is a local treasure!

My absolute favorite bookstore on earth. They carry a fantastic selection of books, the staff is friendly and helpful, and theyre able to order any titles that arent stocked in the store and have them delivered within a few days time. Not to mention how cozy and beautiful the storefront is inside and all the fantastic local merchandise they carry. Skip Amazon and shop local!

My favorite bookstore of all time. It also has a cute little cafe where you can sit and read a book, if youd like. They have a teen and i believe little kids area downstairs which is really nice. They have doors at the bottom of some of the bookshelves, and when you open them they have little rooms set up in there. I believe theyre called fairy doors and kids can write notes to the fairies. Which is cute. Also. You will have to park on the street to get to it. I will forever come here and get my books and my tea.

I get coffee (they make Daves, a good local brew) and sit around in my laptop here and its constantly abuzz with book buyers -- a pretty great self selecting audience... Also this is the only place I know of on the continent where Id choose to eat a scone.

I am very impressed with the coziness of this establishment. I needed a book and they were able to order it for me. There is a good selection of various topics. The staff is extremely friendly and the cafe has great snacks and drinks. I recommend the vanilla chai. No more amazon books for me.

I love this place! The book selection is great, a wide variety, although it can be a bit hard to find what book youre looking for if its something specific. The staff is really nice and the vibe of the whole place is just really nice. Good service and good books! What more could you need?

Absolutely blissful community bookstore with a tremendous selection of books and gifts. Charming atmosphere, great place to relax, read, browse or study. Their cafe has far better coffee & baked goods than nearby restaurants. Comfy seating area on two floors. Lower level has an impressive childrens section. Hand-written note cards with book recommendation by the staff.Vibe is warm and hospitable. Love the staff. On a recent visit we accidentally left a personal item in the shop. The staff went through the trouble of shipping it to our home to save us a trip! Awesome place.

What a civilized spot! This is my kind of bookstore. Cozy and comfortable seating, well stocked shelves, with friendly and helpful staff. If youre at a loss on what to read next, go there. Youll find the perfect book to suit your interests. We didnt try their food or drinks this first visit, but Ill be certain to next time.

Haven’t been to the location physically but I preordered a book that was going to come with a signed book and a lapel pin. I called to see how long they’d hold it for me since I live in Mass and they’re in RI. The sweet lady on the phone, Jessie, said that they would hold it for a few weeks, and longer if I let them know. Then she looked up my order and found that they were shipping it to me! I ordered online for picking up the book once it came out but somehow it’s being shipped to my house instead. She gave me the tracking number and everything. Part of the address was wrong but she was able to get in the box and correct it before the mail person took off with the shipment. She called me back to let me know she was able to correct it and that the pin is super cute. Happy accidents. I would definitely order from this bookstore again. Ordering online was easy and they have the option to have it sent to your house. I selected pickup but that’s no complaint. Thank you, Jessie and Savoy Bookshop!

Unique shop in a historic building. There is a coffee bar and a childrens section. Staff is helpful. Prices a little high but great to have this place in our town when you need a book the same day. Fun to browse.

We stopped by while visiting Westerly for the first time. Im so grateful that I could bring my dog inside. We all had a great time. They have a great assortment of books, the cafeteria is perfect, my pup got snacks and I really appreciate the fact that they were so pet friendly. We will be back!

Loved the vibe in this bookstore. Theres a cafe inside, so I had the honey bee latte (iced) which was great. There are some side tables and free wifi for folks that might want to do some work. The table I had in the corner with a seat in front of a bookshelf has a couple plugs. Theyre deep set, so I couldnt plug my laptop cord in, but if you had a regular three prong or two prong plug it should work fine.

I have no idea what happened to Savoy, maybe new management? They have a lack of attention to their customers needs. I stood waiting in front of the counter for someone to take notice. The coffee milk lattes and chocolate chunk cookies are gone (as pictured below). You guys are very one-sided with the types of books you keep in stock, cmon Savoy! Most of the people Ive met with lately have been dismissive so I stopped going here. So disappointed.

While the books may seem overpriced, it is not without reason: all of them are beautifully bound and printed. Know that the quality is exceptional and worth every penny. The building has a nice, by-the-fireplace feel, coupled with a friendly and helpful staff. This book store, in my humble opinion, makes the five-star rating by a long shot.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff, great selection of books in stock and available for special order. It’s a place where you can hang out to get coffee and pastry, as well. Excellent selection of children’s picture books and chapter books, as well as YA literature.

Both stores are spectacular, independent bookstores. Both are in the centers of Mystic and Westerley. Visit them both and often. The coffee aroma and music in the Savoy are just right.

Amazing books chai latte and employees/owner

Showed up for games night as posted on Facebook. Staff wires got crossed so those who were working werent aware of it. Nonetheless they rounded up a great selection of games for us to choose from. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I met dinner new friends and had a great time playing Scrabble. Ill definitely be back next week 😊

A wonderful little place! Its such an eclectic, relaxing, and intriguing atmosphere. They also host local musical artists to record albums in their establishment and that is such a unique and wonderful thing they do! I would highly recommend visiting the Savoy Bookshop and Cafe, if only to see its interesting features I find quite unique to any other establishment of this sort that Ive ever been to. Definitely worth stopping by to try their coffee or one of their (my favorite) many flavors of tea and to see if this little bookshop/cafe interests you as much as it does me!

The restoration of the old hotel, in this bookstore, is beautiful. The selection of books is great, but the comfortable seating, fresh, delicious pastries, and fresh coffee makes it even better and more cozy.Prices of some books is a little higher than BIG BOX bookstores, but the cozy, Ma&Pa atmosphere adds so much to its worthiness.

This has been one of the best bookstores I have ever been in. They had old plus new books. they had hidden fairy doors in the walls for kids to find. They had a book cubby downstairs for the kids to read in. Very beautifully decorated. Didnt try anything from cafe. Staff was great they had a blast talking with our kids.
