Came in for an Up-do for my sons wedding, but had to agree with the stylist that the colors of my hair were too beautiful to hide. Lots of compliments on my hair and it was perfect as there was a breeze at the Saltwater vineyard Farms coming off the water. Thank you to all the staff, getting me coffee, directions and listening to my nervousness! Excellent staff! Highly recommend them all!Then they recommended I visit the makeup people so they could do my eyes or my face. They did my entire makeup and good thing because I was making some mistakes! I loved the manager and the person working with her..they were so friendly to everyone who walked in the department! They need to be recognized for their hardwork! No one walked away without buying something because they are just that sweet!

Yes this store is still open it may seem that they are closed but they are not and they still have good quality clothing jewelry shoes and yes they still have the salon so that being said please support your local JCPenney show them the love that you still believe and their quality of clothing that they sell I must say if you want to feel like a million dollars were not spending too much money on clothing JCPenney is the way to go

I was waiting in line for close to one-half hour. Nobody from customer service came to explain the situation to me and many others in the line.After I waited an additional 10 minutes I put my item back and left the store. Never liked the place anyway.

We went here to find a gift for my mom and was not disappointed in the least. Great discounts with mystery coupons... my coupon was 30 percent off... I got a $30 candle on clearance with my discount for $1.57, and I also bought a $22 short-sleeve top on clearance adding my 30 percent off for $4.19...great deals... just gotta be savvy smart

Went looking for end of summer clothes that were camping friendly. They were on sale 40% off but the fine print I did not see was, the item(s) had to be $40.00 or more or a combo to equal that to get the 40% off. I thought that was just nuts!. So lesson is make sure you read the sales signs thoroughly. I shop at Pennys cause their products are quality products.

I love JCP. If you know what to look for, some of the deals or clearance items are unbelievable, at least in the mens section. It is a well run staple of Westerly.

Purchased some Oxford shoes where the soles of the shoes are hollow, which I was unaware of when I purchased. Three months of barely wore through the tread grooves and holes came through the heal. Walking in to the store I showed customer service and her response was they dont make them like they used to. I walked away disgusted with the lack of customer service. Most of the shoes there are hollow soled shoes and of the few selection that are there with actual solid soles the re where 2 or 3 sizes to choose from. Another associated asked if I needed any help. I asked if this was all they had in stock to which she replied yes but we can order on line and get them shipped. Which I said So can I. These stores wonder why they have no customers, they have no stock. I try to buy local. Good by local Hello Amazon!

Decent clothing and always has a great sale and coupons going around.

I went to JcPenny and got a free facial at their Sephora. Macayla (who did my facial) did a wonderful job. She was explaining the ingredients and products that got put on my face. Overall I would give it more than 5 stars. I made a purchase because of their amazing service.

This store is half the size that it was 20 years ago. However it still has plenty of selection and sizes per selection to choose from. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I have a love/hate relationship with JC Penney stores. They sell some good quality products, but their regular retail prices are laughable. So, I wait for sales and seasonal clearance prices. Then I get crazy deals on great clothing. Oh, and I despise constantly being asked if I want to open a JC Penney credit card account. No thank you! So, shop during sales and save money. But dont pay regular prices.

If youre in need of mediocre clothing that is truly overpriced, look no further than JC Penney. Unless you are going to Sephora, save yourself a trip.

I do like this store and hope it stays put, and I hope the manager reads these reviews since there is no information on how to give feedback to her directly. I went to the JCP in Westerly, RI on a Thursday around 3 p.m. (to avoid weekend crowds) to pick up an online order and had to stand in line with everyone else making a purchase. However, there was a little side cashier with no line that was only available to streamline purchases of those who were using a JCP Credit Card. I think the manager should know that there were many people in quite a long line grumbling about having to stand in line for items that were already paid for, while a chosen few using a JCP card got special treatment. It took me 15 minutes to just pick up my purchase. I have JCP items sent to the store to save on shipping costs, and when I go to pick up my purchase I, like Im sure many others do, wonder around and may make an additional purchase. So, I dont think JCP should discourage customers from picking up online purchases in the store, yet this is exactly what they are doing. At one time there was a designated area and/or person who would quickly get your online purchase; this store is likely to lose customers like me if they continue this poor customer service model of forcing customers to stand in line with those who need to complete a purchase, open a charge card, etc.. I understand that brick & mortars are having a hard time surviving, but allowing customer service to erode (e.g., closing registers, herding customers, etc.) is not the answer. Next time I order online Ill probably pay to have the item sent to my home, then JCP will have one less person entering the store and lose one more potential sale.
