This was our first time here and probably our last. The cafe is small and cluttered with stuff. First impresion walking through the door is this place needs a serious renovation. Our waitress was very pleasant and took our order quickly but our food was slow to come out. My wife said her eggs were cold and bacon was almost burnt. She did not like her coffee. I had the corn beef hash, Kielbasa, and blueberry muffin. My muffin was very good, Kielbasa slightly burnt, and the hash was very small and almost burnt but I liked it. The meals was under 25 dollars which was nice.
Was not able to actually order something here. Went in on a non busy Tuesday morning. I had to use bathroom and my girlfriend got seated and greeted. She got a water and I got seated. Waited 15 minutes and saw server several times behind counter she never came over. We left after the 15 minutes and we saw another table get seated and get served before us. Can’t say anything about food, but service is sub par
While visiting Westerly, me, my wife and dtr had the opportunity to stop by this phenomenal place! The breakfast was outstanding!!! They make their own corned beef hash that was amazing, as well as a slow cooked beef short rib that just falls apart. The prices are beyond reasonable! This place needs to be on Triple D!!! Tell everyone to go here that visits Westerly, Rhode Island. You wont be disappointed.
Food is honestly really damn good, and really damn cheap. You can go there and get 3 pancakes, homefries and some sausage for under 10 bucks. Its one of the last few old school breakfast places out there. Reminds me of Rosies from back in the day. Go eat there.
The food tasted fine, but it took way too long to come out. I think my husband clocked it at at least 20 min to order then 35 min from when we ordered. Also the table was sticky.
Normally, when me and my family are in the area on vacation, we have breakfast at Mias. On this particular day Google Maps informed me that Mias was closed, so my wife and I sought out another place to have breakfast. That is when I came across 55 Beach Street Cafe and we decided to go there.55 Beach Street Cafe is charming in its own right. It is not a polished corporate chain. You dont walk in thinking you are at some fancy restaurant. It is lackluster to say the least. That being said, that doesnt mean that it lacks in charm in its own sense. You walk in and are promptly greeted and in a welcoming manner. There is a feeling of nostalgia. Its almost like if an old diner made a baby with an old deli. Thats what I thought when I looked around the cafe.The food, well the food speaks for itself. My wife ordered a ham, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel and it looked like what you would imagine a perfect ham, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel would look like. She said it was very cheesy, but isnt that how it should be? She did enjoy it. I ordered Colleens Irish Eggs Benedict Special, and all I could say after every bite was wow. The eggs, the corned beef hash, the hollandaise...it all tasted fresh and delicious. The home fries that accompanied the eggs were some of the most delicious home fries I have ever had.Needless to say, we will not pass by this cafe the next time we are in town for a place with a flashy sign. This is the real deal and you should not miss out. Great food and a great staff. What else do you need?

Stopped in on way home from RI, food was excellent, home made corned beef hash was on point, also a local treat is soupy which is crumbled italian cured meat. Slighty spicy and delish In omelets or gravy. Service was a tad slow, but we didnt mind, quality of food made up and waitress was great too.
Leaden pancakes. Slow service. Maybe Labor Day weekend isn’t the best time to go here. Home fries were good.

Love 55 Beach Street Cafe! Food is always amazing. Staff is super. It can get busy at times but well worth the few minutes wait at high traffic times. I suggest getting an omelet or the homemade hash. Cant go wrong on Fridays fish and chips either! My pic is of the soupy omelet with a side of bacon. A+ food and service!

My brother and I take my grandson to breakfast on Tuesdays before we take him to school. we have been trying different places in the area..This is now our favorite!! This place was excellent. Food was fresh, perfectly prepared and very tasty!! cant wait till next Tuesday!!
Good food, quick service but the only thing is there was a hair in my food and I know things happen but maybe a hair net next timeThe waitress could have refilled our coffees but we had to ask multiple timesOther than that it was really good and I’d come again

I wish I could rate 0 stars, this place has almost zero COVID protection policies in place and the servers couldn’t be bothered to help me pick up my order. The pancakes taste like play-doh. Will never go again.
I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is amazing especially the homemade corned beef hash. I drive around 45 minutes just to eat here. But today I couldnt even finish my food. As Im sitting at the counter eating I observed one of the waitresses pull down her mask and put food in her mouth at least 3 times with her hand, no utensils. And then coughed in her hand. She didnt wash her hands or use sanitizer and proceeded to handle plates of food and drinks. My husband and I were not even able to finish our food. I would give 5 stars for the food and 1 star for the customer service.
The best little breakfast spot in Westerly. Amazing hollandaise sauce, homemade hash and a variety of other delicious breakfast delights. A must try for everyone!! 🙂🙂

Wow...the biscuits and gravy were FANTASTIC!! Perfect amount of sausage in a creamy country gravy with fresh herbs and buttered, toasted biscuits. Loved every bite!! Coffee was good and hot and plentiful. Highly recommend this place!!

I used to come here when they still had deli selections. Needless to say I was disappointed in my return. I was craving a burger and ordered the Savory Burger Medium. The bun was soaked in juice on my plate. The sauteed onions werent done. The egg soaked my burger. My boyfriend ordered the Irish Benedict. $14 for an English muffin cut in half with two poached eggs and home fries..... it was suppose to have corned beef and hash that never came. We were disappointed enough that we just left. Staff was nice. Owner was at the counter with his computer and printer taking phone calls. No office? I was hoping for the experience I used to have... now I just smell like a greasy breakfast joint (dont go for lunch if you have to go back to work).

The service was wonderful, the plates were huge and the decor is reminiscent of a time gone by. I had a 2 year old with me, and the staff was very accommodating. Offering to put her drink order in her sippy cup for me, rinsing it first. They have breakfast or lunch just ask for the menu. This place is a hidden gem!
WOW! Found this little place on accident and it was fabulous. Steve, the owner, has high standards and is very particular about the food he serves. My wife ordered the corned beef hash which was obviously made from scratch and perfectly seasoned, as were the home fries that came with it. Me, I love sausage gravy and biscuits and was intrigued by the unique twist that the menu promised. Well, they certainly delivered! And on top of all this the GIANT muffins, fresh baked are delightful. My one and only complaint is that its so far from where I live that I cant go there every day. This is a must visit if you are in the area.
Went at peak of lunch time and lady snapped at me. We are closed. Wow. At noon time at the hour of lunch you close. When sign reads open for lunch. Never returning to them. Dead to me
Its almost a shame that the food was so good! The slowest service (on the kitchens part) that I have ever experienced for breakfast (and we go out to breakfast literally every weekend)! The waitresses were great, but the kitchen took forever, which is not their fault. We easily waited 30-40 minutes for eggs and pancakes. The food was delicious, but unfortunately we wont be back to taste it again.
Ive seen reviews mentioning how slow 55 Beach Street Cafe is, and I get it... Everyone wants everything right now in life, yet quality suffers when were in such a rush my friends. Ive been to 55 Beach Street Cafe several times whenever I fly into town, and inevitably its the best food Ill have whenever visiting Rhode Island. Friendly and willing to please, way to go 55, look forward to my next visit!

We had gone before with a good experience; today, however, was a different story. The wait staff was inattentive and insulting each other behind the counter, the manager seemed to be on drugs and was rambling and slurring to the customers around us. The food took over 40 minutes to arrive (3 eggs over easy, toast, homefries - really?) and wasnt worth the wait. We will not be coming back, and do not recommend others come here either.

Cute little place! Visited while on the way to Misquamicut for the day and had a good breakfast. Very diner food-esque. Wouldnt recommend going if you think it will be busy, the way business is handled is a little confusing.

The cook got pissed off cause I asked for a meatball sandwich. I heard him tell the waiter to lie to me and say they ran out. Then I got cold, dried out yolk eggs.
Every time I come here I know it will be the slowest service. Today I was the only person in the whole restaurant and it was just as slow. Unfortunate because their food is so good.
Fantastic breakfast! Colleen was a gem! My only regret was, I was so full I had no room for what looked like amazing chocolate cupcakes!
