If you want more baking choices, this is the place for different flours. From regular wheat flour to bread flour to masa corn, you not only get a different batch of choices from regular supermarkets, but you can buy huge bags if youre into that sort of thing. Other staple items that I like from here are rice and beans, which also have lots of choices. Watch for their weekly flyer.

This store is great. It’s really matured well.Only thing, tonight there was a display of fresh vegetables next to the front door. We think the broccoli was old and the smell stayed with us all the way through the front of the store.

I was amazed to see employee Carla wearing very loose mask under her nose. When I approached the manager, she herself had very small peace of cloth “mask”, which was barely covering anything. I am very concerned if it’s safe to shop in this store! I will write a complaint to Ventura country.

Almost an empty store at 7pm (Wed) and the employees were helpful & friendly. The store had more selection than I expected. But buyer beware regarding prices. Some competive but some not.

Large store has good produce section. Very reasonable prices, clean, pretty quick service, has a Wells Fargo bank inside. Only comment is more variety of products and sizes. Only had one large size of sesame oil.

Smart & Final seems to have improved locally. The produce section seems to me to beat the nearby Costco, for example. I hope it hangs on, because the store has passed through a number of hands, so many Ive forgotten all of their names.

The once exceptional interior is not being kept up like Albertsons and Haggen was. The extreme amount of bulk products and lack of many normal grocery store items make this store hard to shop at. The produce is decent (about par to other areas of the nation but not Southern California standards). There is no pharmacy/vitmain section in this store whatsoever. There is however a bulk nuts aisle and several wine aisles. Its definitely a downgrade for Westlake Village and a sign of the San Fernando Valley (where I live, so I know first-hand) infiltration that is happening to this once stellar area.

I went there with my small suitcase and my little baby. When I passed the cashier. The guy asked me what is in the suitcase in front of many people. So I offered him to check it as i did not take anything. I just only wanted to look for my husband because my purse was with himand I wanted to buy banana for my girl. After he checked it he said have a nice day.I felt so embarrassed. I think may be coz I am an Asian lady that why he thought I would steal things from super market.
