John was great getting me set up with my waders. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Glad they have someone who knows fishing and the outdoors there to help customers!

Great products and inventory. Online and catalog are easy but in person is great, incredibly knowledgeable staff who can make great recommendations and provide coaching. Love this place.

The online selection is better as others have noted. However, the service here is good. Ill let you in on a little secret: if you want to order something they dont have in store, call them. The store will order it for you, ship it to your house, and waive the shipping charges! Nice

Great store! I have shopped here for several years and every time I stop in it’s always a great experience. Great selection and and salespersons that you would expect from the orvis brand but still somehow manages to have a small shop feel. Staff was almost more excited than I was for my upcoming fly fishing trip. I have also taken a few of the fly fishing and fly tying seminars and have learned a great deal in both. Can’t wait to go back soon!

One of the associates Tom was the type to say no we cant do that before I even asked. Very poor salesperson with little knowledge of products or policy. Another associate by the name of Kevin became abusive and threatening using profanity to me when I said I would call Orvis. This was in Dec.with no response from Orvis about the abuse. I wont be back!

Utterly and completely disappointing. After calling ahead being told Tom would be in the store every night during the week until 7, when I arrived he was not there after assuring me he would be. Further, the associate on duty spent 5 minutes trying to convince me I called the Woodmere store by mistake. Only after showing my cell phone with the Westlake number did she believe me. I considered buying the reel and setting it up myself, but was so aggravated at the treatment I left in disgust. Used to be that everyone in Orvis was a fly fishing enthusiast, not just a guy named Tom which is sporadically available. Sometimes. Maybe.

Couldnt ask for a more helpful staff, great customer service, they fish too! I and two of my brothers as well as three nephews are looking forward to our Fly Fishing 101 classes which we will all attend together.

Super customer service. I wanted the 7-piece Frequent Flyer rod and reel and sought one by phone at my Michigan store in Royal Oak - and I wanted it for a trip 3 days from NOW. They didnt have one. They looked around and found one in the Orvis Westlake Store. Orvis Westlakes Chris called me an hour later and set up the whole thing - including shipping it to me quickly at their expense. It arrived today and its beautiful. I am setting it up as I write this. Im sure I will like it - it feels very clean and light and sensitive - and I cant say enough positive things about both the Westlake store and the Royal Oak store for making this happen for me.

The selection is terrible just save ur time and shop online and the people who worked there were more interested in talking to themselves than helping you

I visited Orvis, hoping toPurchase Eyebobs. Their selection was paltry! I never would have driven to the store had I known they barely had 20 pairs of glasses for a selection. Next time I’ll ask.
