The doctors and everyone during the exam part were extremely nice. They were very reassuring and communicative during the whole process.On the other hand, the sales people were on the pushy side and also seem annoyed when we asked for our prescription. The one salesperson seemed genuinely helpful at first and when we asked for the PD the mood completely changed. She snapped and asked if we only wanted it to buy glasses elsewhere. We bought glasses during this visit. But Im unsure if I will in the future.They have no budget options for glasses. I dont have eye insurance to cover lenses or anything, so I asked for cheaper pairs. And the first thing said to me was that they have payment plans. The cheapest option for our pair was over 300 dollars. No wonder people want to shop online.Id recommend this place for the exam portion, not so much for buying glasses.

I had surgery on my nose and have been vaccinated for a while now with my card. I was wearing a shield mask that doesnt compress on my nose as my doctor required. I walk in to get my contacts and the lady in the front wouldnt allow me to pass without wearing one of her masks on my nose when I couldnt. You could even visibly see the surgery marks all over my nose. Mind you, Michigan mask law has been lifted as well. Never been so disrespected. After this batch of contacts, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Avoid this place.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with Brian and the team at this location. Brian, Jacqueline and Lance went above and beyond to make sure I had my glasses even though there was an error on my script from another doctor. Ill always visit this location for all my future optical needs.

She looked up different pricing options and helped me with my indecisiveness :)Not only was she helpful with my 2 pairs of sunglasses, we had a really great conversation during my short time in store! My ophthalmologist suggested I purchase my glasses from OptimEyes in Westland and I received a pair in January. I was given excellent service and a quick turn around. Unfortunately, the same doctor then made significant changes to my prescription just a few months later in April. I took the prescription to OptimEyes and inquired if I could just have my left lens remade because it was the biggest change of the 2 eyes and I couldnt afford to pay for new glasses in such a short time frame. Star (my optician) and Brian (the manager) entered my new prescription and ordered both new lenses for me free of charge!!! I have never been so appreciative! I am a night shift registered nurse who starts I.V.s on sick patients for a living, so being able to see very well is literally a must have. Thank you so very much for your kindness and service, Star and Brian! I am beyond grateful.

I left Henry Ford OptimEyes 5 years ago to go to a place closer to my home. The new place was always overbooked, hard to get an appointment, and they ALWAYS messed up my contact lens order. I went back to Henry Ford OptimEyes in Westland this year and it is worth the drive time. Everyone was friendly, its easy to get an appointment, and I felt like the doctor read my chart before she came into the room and she sincerely cared about my vision. I was in and out in less than 45mins and my contact order was delivered a few days later. Would highly recommend.

Every time I come here I get terrible service. First time I came I was told to “figure out what I want and maybe come back with some magazines or something.” I understand that the pandemic has made it harder with the different rules and regulations but it was extremely rude and uncomfortable. I was just looking for some guidance but because I didn’t know what the frame was called I was pretty much told to leave. Second experience is when I called to order contacts in the morning. I gave all my info over the phone and was told I would receive a call back. No call back.

I dont wear eye glasses and I dont have vision problems; however I have come here on 2 occasions of having debris in my eyes. Both times they worked well to get me in the same day and as quickly as possible. I was surprised at how simple and painless the removal was. Normally you get very nervous having people digging around in your eyes but they make it very straightforward and put you at ease. Thanks guys!

Staff has been unbelievably helpful. I ordered glasses hat just weren’t right for me. Mary was wonderful to work with and set me up to make things right. Then, Ann Marie did a tremendous amount of work to look into the best solution and figured out what needed to be fixed. These ladies and the rest of the staff are just top-notch. I will never go anywhere else.

HFO gets one star for several reasons. To start, I scheduled my appointment a month ago. Im a return customer, and my insurance is on file. I go there once a year, my wife too, for our annual eye exam and new glasses, covered under our insurance. They waited till we arrived to tell us our insurance coverage didnt renew for three more weeks. Fine, but when I called to set the appointment, it was supposedly set within the framework of my policy. They didnt catch their error till we arrived. Meanwhile, 3 days before the appointment, they left several voicemails and sent texts, reminding me not to miss the appointment! And, why are they still enforcing the mask-mandate, on steroids, when the rest of the Country has moved on? Further, the last pair of glasses I got from them fell apart under normal use within a year of wearing them. The stem came off. I fixed them with JB Weld, myself. They couldnt fix them, they said, and wanted me to buy new ones. I paid a little more than 700.00 for these glasses! HFO might be big, but they are all-in-all not that good. I think its time to find a better eye glass company. I dont recommend them.

My husband and I had our eyes checked by Dr. J. Youn, who was very patient and informative doing the course of our eye examinations. She took her time and was a wealth of knowledge that put my mind at ease and it taught me so much more about the changes in my eyes, as I get older. She was truly awesome and a God-Send. Finally, she was naturally welcoming and you can tell she loves her job. I will definitely request her again for my future eye examinations.Moving on to our Optician, Miss Star ⭐️, who did a phenomenal job in assisting my husband and I in choosing frames. She literally has an eye as to what suites us in picking the style of frames that is just right for our individual specifications.. The frames that she picked for my husband were perfect and he chose the right one that were classy and suitable to his style. It took me some time to try find ones that I liked for myself. However, her picks were great for me and I liked the frames, but I am a Plane Jane when it comes to frames that I like, my taste is timeless and never goes out of style for myself . She was patient, considerate, and not pushy in just trying to make a sale. Even though I wanted to be 100% sure in choosing the correct frames for me, I was not quite ready for new ones and just kept the ones that I previously had purchased from Henry Ford Health Center OptimEyes and updated the lenses. If I ever decide to get newer frames, I will definitely request Miss Star in assisting me, if she’s available.Thank you to all of the staff there for their professionalism and wonderful customer service. They ensured that everything was clean, sanitized for the safety of their employees and customers from beginning to end. And they also “tuned-up” a pair of old glasses that were older than a couple of years. The store is also quick large and very clean. Plenty of parking. And across from a mall. I have been going to Henry Ford Optimeyes Westland location for a few years now and I cannot express how great the doctors and staff are. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait longer then 5-10 minutes and the process is very quick. It makes going for an eye exam way better knowing the appointment is timely and the staff is efficient.
