I drove 25 miles to check out some pants to try one I buying online and returning. No fitting rooms so I tried on at the counter to get a better idea of size. Btw s t ill bought the wrong size. The clothes looked sparse but the other items were randomly spaced throughout the store.large sections empty. Dont see it open for longbut they are still hiring. Kinda sad.

Sears has been one of my favorite shopping stores since I was a teenager. I really hatrle to see it go and I feel sad for the loyal people who have worked there all these years. Sears has always had good products and stood behind there name, thats why they stayed in business for so long. God Bless All the employees

Most items at reduced pricing. Store was not filled with shoppers which was odd for a Saturday evening 1 1/2 weeks before Christmas. Dont expect help or someone to answer your questions. Basically the only help are the few people at checkout. Fitting rooms are closed. That leaves the option to return items that do not fit. Many items appear to be from the many store locations that closed.

This store is closing and even though everything is on clearance. All the stuff is neatly organized as usual, even the empty shelves are organized.Im sorry this store is closing for good

A nice store. Carpets could be cleaner or replaced. Great selection of goods at great prices. Hard working employees. They make me feel welcome.

Updated: going out of business - its a sad day when one of the four corners of the mall announces its closing, but as weve seen no retail store is safe. The staff here have always been very friendly, and helpful; Ill be sad to see this location close

Avoided at all costs unless your just looking to stay cool in the ac and stretch your legs take a walk. There ac works well. Lol

I went to get a microwave. My microwave died. I had a maintenance agreement so they gave me a certain amount of money off a new one. I cant wait for my new one its so nice. Didnt have any problem getting the money to get the new one.

They have excellent sales here. I used to avoid this store because for a while their clothing looked as though it was geared toward senior citizens. NOW, there is a great selection for women and girls of all ages!! Ive shopped here three times in the last 2 months and spent well over $100 for awesome clothing that was well worth it! The store is clean, huge, organized shelving and racks, and easy to shop. I love how the out- of- season H-rack (in the main middle aisle) always has great sales on the rack. The employees are always pleasant and helpful. They have fitting rooms and public restrooms. They also have a wide selection of shoes for ther whole family. I love their make up selections and jewelry. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for quality merchandise at reasonable prices. (Side note) JC Pennys has similar, if not the same products, BUT this stores prices are by far less expensive. I was in search of a colorful yet elegant poncho/ shawl for church, JC Pennys least expensive one I saw was about $80 which was on sale for 40% off. This locations most EXPENSIVE poncho I saw was about $55 🤷🏽‍♀️. Thank you for adding variety to the clothing selection, keeping your prices reasonable, and enlisting professional staff.

It looks like Sears is about to go out of business. Very low inventory mostly empty areas. Top floor is pretty much closed off. Sad to see them go but I know it will be soon.

Was there picking up a new stove, while there talking to some staff they where happy they had just received there first shipment of new product for the year signaling to them they where staying open sounds like the only sears in the state of Michigan. I have been shopping at sears since 1985 like where else can you go pick up some new clothes grap the latest tools

Sears will always be a place to go to get very good quality clothing at a far price. The store was very clean and well stocked.

My Sears.com experience was terrible! I put a freezer in the layaway paid it up to $100 was due and then was unable to make the final payment online. I called. They couldn’t help me. I went into the store they couldn’t help me. Finally I said I want my money back. I’ll go somewhere else to buy a freezer. After weeks and weeks, the store manager at the Westland store was able to cancel my online layaway and this week I was credited back my money.

Wanted to buy shoes.When I asked an associate what happened to the benches, she told me they got rid of them.i asked how do I try them on, she very rudely told me there might be some by one of the doors. Which one she didnt tell me. Others must have asked te same question before, so management should have a policy of what to tell customers. Told her to tell her boss Sears lost another customer, she muttered something and walked away. It must have been time for another break, great customer service. I wonder why what used to be a great store that existed in three different centurys is going out of business.

Great store with really awesome sales ! I can find what I’m looking for at a great price :) today I bought 5 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of panty hose for just under $75 !!!

This is the last Sears in the area so they are doing their best, especially during COVID.

The sales person was very helpful however we could not purchase a dryer because all the ones in our price range were on back order. Did not even have a gas one for a floor model that we could have purchased. On a previous trip another sales man had told us the one we wanted could be delivered on Aug. 3. If he would have told us it was on backorder than we would not have wasted a trip back to purchase a dryer.

I have shopped Sears my whole life! I was surprised at how few people were shopping and the amount of items available. My biggest disappointment was the lack of sales people. I had to walk the whole store to find 1 cashier open and I dont think she really knew what she was doing.

The sale was on but the item on back order. So the sales person offer additional percentage off and I walked out with the item I wanted today. They loaded it in my SUV under 5 minutes.

Haven’t been to a Sears in years. Not what I remember. You can tell they are struggling but the prices where great. The are really trying. I mean the price where GREAT. Will be going back. I had ordered online with I store pick up. Ended up walking g airings and was pleasantly surprised.

Was excited to finally locate a Sears....nice selection of Kenmore grills.....the best grills ever. The store is obviously scaling down. Not much product.

Only one of the few Sears left. Got some good deals while in there. Was rumoured that location was closing down so we rushed over there, but a sigh of relief to know that they WASNT CLOSING DOWN like my friend said an employee told him and his mom when they went in there a few days prior to.

Good sales. But I waited in line forever.with one cashier because she was trying to sign them up for a credit card and didnt know what she was doing. After 20 min a new cashier came who was super apologetic and nice. The store was clean and not badly picked over.

No problems moving around here. Very few shoppers.

I so much want to love Sears. It brings back a lot of memories being in the store, and the concept I think its still viable. However, currently the few remaining stores dont seem to be any better run than they were when they were declining in sales. Old cash registers and very limited personnel. If they want to rebound, somebodys going to have to bite the bullet and invest!

Roderick is one of the most helpful employees at the sears in the Westland mall. No matter what day or time he is always willing to help. I’ve been shopping at sears for years and he’s by far the best employee I’ve ever dealt with.

Sears has great deals on everything! Did you know they sell Fila shoes for men and women. I was happy to purchase a pair for only $20.99. Also I was really happy with my new puffer vest. Lines can be long but worth any wait. Keep in mind Im writing this during holiday times.

The appliance department is great! Got help right away and no interest for 12 months on a washer. However the cashiers downstairs are very very slow! The girl I got was about as peppy as a turtle and didnt offer much help at checkout.

So sad, stopped in today, store was very empty.

I love this store their prices are good and then when you get to the register its always cheaper. And if you have the rewards card its even cheaper then. Ive never paid over I think $10 for anything in their clothing wise. And their clothing last longer than some of the cheaper stores. Love this place

Surprisingly low sale prices, but mostly on the lower quality apparel. Some nicer dresses.The store looks like it has been stripped down and sold off piece by piece. No mirrors, empty racks and shelves, only saw 3 employees in the 2 hours we were here, and the 3rd one had just clocked out.

Large and well stocked Sears. I dont shop here very often but when in the area I like to stop in. The store looked like a mess upstairs. I asked the staff about this and they said that the entire store is being revamped. Looks like they are bringing in a lot of toys which will be located upstairs. The checkout I am happy to say has improved greatly. There were a couple of people ahead of me the other cashier was quick to check out the next customer. Overall Im satisfied with the experience here and will gladly stop by again when the store is redone.

One of the few Sears left. Friendly staff but lacking in a good selection of clothes and deals. They also switch out stock sometimes before it makes sense, though this is probably just something the Sears Overlord dictates to the store. Sometimes jackets and stuff are gone when the cold season is still here, yet new bikinis are being put up. Seems odd.

This store used to be very good, as sears is declining business everywhere. this one is going so, i couldnt find the shop vacuum i need, and they ended up putting the order online, after we washed half hour.

We ordered items online to pickup at the store. The process was easy and very fast! Good job Sears!👍

I ended up going to a different Sears (Livonia) to get my size, and it was a completely different atmosphere, bustling and well-stocked Maybe I heard wrong and Westland IS closing...?

Somewhat sad to see what has become of Sears... Smaller selection of clothing yet still a great place to buy tools and appliances. The Westland location seems devoid of major foot traffic.

This is the location I mostly shop at and/or pick online orders from. Im hoping they dont close down all their stores because I really love Sears products. Not to forget the great cash-backs incentives for members. I usually never go into Westland mall because its a dead, with exception to Sears. I have few negative experiences here though, like picking up online orders with open packaging as if theyre not new but open items.

The very front of the store (from the mall entrance) is kept tidy and looks well-stocked, but the rest of the store is just sort of sad. The fitting rooms also have a motion sensor buzzer/bell, so dont bother using the first stall unless you want to drive yourself crazy.
