Storing a motorcycle here was mostly great, the only thing that ever gave me trouble was not being able to enter after 10. So if I didn’t make it back in time I would be stuck with my motorcycle overnight. Probably a security protocol, but it definitely would have made for an easier time. I’m sure it’s a very niche issue.

Was very convenient but when we were told our rent was going up almost 40.00 a month we decided to move out and its a shame maybe im in the wrong business dont quite understand why its going up almost $40.00 per month when u make upgrades to the property its not the renters responsibility to lay for those jpdates when they were not Told or informed of anything like that except. Guess they want to recoup their money from the renters.

Not much customer service if you cant get into your storage unit! It snowed, yes, but they couldnt clear in front of the unit?? Instead they plowed your unit in.

I highly recommend Simply Self Storage. The online reservation process was so fast and simple. I inquired about a 10 x 30 unit online and Melissa called within minutes. When we arrived at the location, Melissa greeted us, gave us a tour, explained everything and answered all of our questions. The storage facility is very clean and secure with cameras all throughout. Melissa is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel like family. World class customer service! Don’t go anywhere else.

Received exactly what I asked for. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They broom swept the unit and made sure I had everything needed. Even had locks on site.

Where did great customer service go?...It was put in storage. I would have never thought that I would take the time to write a positive review of a self-storage facility, but the service provided by Jennifer, the manager of the Westland Simply Self-Storage, is impressive.She helped us get the right size storage unit, provided some suggestions of things to do in the area (since were new) and even helped push my wifes car out of the snow when it was stuck during a trip to the storage unit.Great, caring service still exist, its just been put in storage.

We arrived in the middle of the night with a large truck and all of our belongings. Thank goodness Jennifer was there to meet us! We received great customer service and a helpful attitude. I am very upset about the way they are doing business in this pandemic.I have already received one phone call and am unsure why, since I live in Michigan and the state is ordered to stay home, that they a store and lock are considered essential let alone harassing me when I do not work for an essential business. A second phone call four days later is extremely unnecessary. I know I need to pay. And their website says they are asking their facilities to take it easy on the auctions for right now. So why are you putting any of your renters through those steps right now?It is the tenth of the month... due date was the fourth... the state has been on a stay home order since March 23rd... so I and several of the unit renters have not been working... so why would you not give all of us in states where we are required to stay home leniency on or with our due dates... the person I spoke too was exceptionally rude... idk if he is a manager or not, but when I asked for his managers phone number he asked me if he wanted to come to work during this pandemic. I asked how this was relevant to getting his superiors phone number. He hung up. I called back and he asked me to respect him as he tried to explain his companys guidelines. I told him that I wanted to hear it from his superior, his unprofessionalism is irrelevant to this conversation.as far as I know its considered illegal for landlords in Michigan to harass or evict any tenants right now.If I could put a zero as a review right now I would.I would also like to know why putting a second lock on a unit is necessary if you are not able to get on the grounds (your password doesnt work) after the 5th of every month.I called his superior in Pennsylvania and waiting for a call back. So upset about how this could be any companies follow through let alone the way they would treat anyone who they depend on to make payments at their facilities.

But because of her great customer service skills, knowledge, friendliness and true concern for her customers, she is the ONLY one I speak with about my unit! I am very disappointed, I am renting a climate control storage that I am paying over $ 100 for 5x10 unit, although I dont go there often but every time I went I realized that they turned off the furnace, in the winter I found frozen bottles of water and recent days 7.14.2019 the temperature was over 80 degrees, having a thermometer installed....I am definitely looking for a different place

Careful here they seem to change their rules of engagement that aren’t otherwise specified in your contract at will. I was told that I could move out any date before the sixth of the month at a rate prorated for each day. And now that I’ve tried to use this service Jenifer tells me that I am on the hook for the first 10 days of the month whether I move out on the first or the 10th as long as I’m gone by the 10th of the month. And now I am waiting an absorbinant amount of time for her to come and unlock the Overlock on my unit so that I’m able to move.

What You See is What You Get! While I was going through the stressful task of finding a storage unit that would meet my familys needs, Simply Self Storage in Westland, MI came up in one of my many searches. I immediately was attracted to the pictures of the facility. I was S-O-L-D! My search was finally over.It was absolutely beautiful and I was impressed at how well kept the facility appeared in the pictures. And like I said, What You See is What You Get! Plus, you also get what what you do not see online which is All-Star hospitality and service.When I arrived at the facility to complete my paperwork, I must say that the beautiful images that were on the website displayed exactly how Simply Self Storage Westland really is. The manager Jennifer takes great care of the property and takes pride in how the property is represented online as well.I am so glad I did not think twice about renting a storage unit here. (It was so nice that I went back a week later and rented an additional unit.) This was unlike some other storage unit places where they show a clean facility with new and updated units online but, when you get to the facility you will find that it does not look anything like they represented it online.Simply Self Storage Westland is a very clean and safe facility. Also, inside of the office they sell a variety of items for your storing needs which I find very helpful.They offer evening gate access hours that I found to be an hour later than other facilities in the area. Jennifer was a BIG help with me yet again because gate access was our #1 priority... I guess #1 after cleanliness and safety. LOL!And speaking of safety, I felt even more reassured when I found out that the property manager, Jennifer, stays on site. We often have to go to our units pretty late or really early.  You cant buy that kind of comfort these days. Wait... You CAN at Simply Self Storage Westland!The one downside that we encountered when we first rented our unit was that they did not have the unit size that we needed. Now, that unit size is available and we are going in this weekend to transfer to a larger size. Again stressful, but Jennifer has made the beginning of this transfer process very helpful and has put my mind at ease. She was even nice enough to say that she will try and make sure our new larger unit is as close to our other two units as possible so that as we move our items it will be more convenient.I have only been a customer at this facility for a few months but, I must say they do not disappoint.Having to store my familys precious items long term, but needing to access them frequently, I definitely could not have made a better choice.Thank You Simply Self Storage!

Prices are about average the snow cleanup could be better I found it hard to get into my unit after a snowfall.

Well managed!! Rate is going up 12% after being in for 3 months, not sure if that is company protocol but not happy with the unexpected hike!!
