We moved to Westminster about 2 years ago and have made Caples Car Care our go to place. They have given us consistent great service. One thing to note, I am quite handy and if the price is too high I will go ahead and diy. But I have been putting off fixing my front headlight. Today, I decided to call the guys up and see what I’m looking at for a headlight fix. They just said ma’am come on up and let us take care of it. 🙌🏾 I just appreciate care. And this shows care to me.And we keep coming here for that reason. I don’t have to wait for my husband to call for me to be treated kindly and fairly. I keep meeting families to recently moved here like us. If you are looking for a reliable repair ship this is the place here.

They do good work and have a good turn around. Employees are nice and knowledgeable. I take my personal and work vehicles here for everything from oil changes to more complex repairs.

Dave and his team at the Cranberry location are friendly and efficient. This is the only place I take all of my vehicles.

I have taken my cars there three times. My cars were not fixed two of the three times on the first visit. However, I would absolutely use Caples in the future. The business was honest, took responsibility, and was very affordable. It is refreshing to do business with these folks. A business like this is a rare find now these days. My car needed some fairly extensive service, and they took care of me. Sadly after the work was complete one of the parts installed had an issue (from manufacturing not installation). When I called Caples they asked me to bring it right back and took care of the issue almost immediately.They know their stuff and know how to take care of both you and your car.

Theu took care of my cat and changed its oil. Had to wait for the shuttle back but still, very good service.

Probably the worst experience I’ve had with a car repair place. Had several services done. Spent upwards of $2k. When I received my car back sensors were not connected properly and literally had to take my car back to them 4 times for them to fix things that they either broke or didn’t hook up correctly. Had an attitude with me when I was the one that had to keep driving back and forth. Probably ok for an oil change but not for in depth services that take knowledge.

I love Caples Car Care. While only having experience with the Cranberry Rd location, they have been nothing but honest and exceptional every single time. The staff is always such a pleasure to deal with! I’ve never been loyal to a mechanic until I started coming here. Thank you so much guys!

The day i received my crapy call about needing a new engine was the day of my cousins viewing and it was a bad day but an employee named Dave had me laughing by the end of the call. He had bad news to deliver but did so nicely and professionally and with a sense of humor and understanding.

Took a 2003 Dodge Ram to Caples because of a very bad binding noise in front end of truck, ADMITTEDLY the truck needed a lot of work. I knew the brakes were bad. Actually had new brakes and rotors in the truck when I took it to Caples because I was going to fix the brakes myself. Caples gave me an estimate of approximately 2,600 to repair brakes, ball joints and inner and outer tie rod ends. Also told me that one of the brake calipers was seized. Told me all that needed to be done, then they could drive the truck to tell me what actually causing the binding noise. No way I was going for that. I had the truck towed to another shop. They put the truck up on a lift, turned the tires and found out immediately that the binding noise was being caused by a failed wheel bearing. That shop repaired the wheel bearing and installed the brakes and rotors I had purchased for 350.00. The other shop also told me that the brake rotors were not seized. The slides just needed to be greased. Caples charged me an 80.00 diagnostic fee and did not even give me the cause of the problem that I took the truck to them for in the first place. Refused to return any of the money I paid them for the diagnostic fee and I had to pay another 80.00 to have the truck towed to the other shop. I would have had no problem paying them if they had actually diagnosed the problem correctly, but they cost me 160.00 for nothing.

Extremely fast. I was referred here by a neighbor. My first visit. So far so good.Ok from there Ive had some issues. First when replacing tires on a car, normally valve stems are replaced. It said they are on the receipt. Within a week the right front tire was losing air. I called and dropped it off. They gave me some BS about I think they replaced the seal on it. Whatever, they replaced that valve stem. Now its a few months later. I was working in my garage, I was master certified. Look it up. Wife got out and said computer says to check air pressure left front tire. Valve is split in half. ...Ill let you know from there

Love this place! The people here are very friendly, make you feel at home, and are honest about what you either need or dont need done with your car. They are fast, and they are quick to schedule you in for appointments. Their prices are very reasonable and fair, especially with the premium parts they use for your car. I went here when someone told me I have to replace brakes because they are getting low, but Caples was honest enough to tell me that my brakes are in great condition. Go here UNLESS you want to be cheated out of money, subpar parts on your car, and unprofessional service.

My vehicles brake line went out on Rt 140, near McDonalds, and I was pushing it to Caples Car Care at Cranberry Road and Rt 140. A young man (Tony) came to my rescue to help me. A lady driving by observed my dilemma and went to Caples to tell them An elderly man ( me at 77) is pushing his vehicle down the road and he shouldnt be doing that! Up until today we had good experiences here. Today was not.Signed a quote for tires at $127 a tire at 7:30am when van was dropped off. Around 9am got a call that mechanic needed a special key for Honda wheel lock so I return at 9:390am only to be told by the guy at register that each tire would cost $7 more because they needed to make a profit.The work was completed sometime around 4:30p but I had to call them to find that information out and was put on a long hold. When he came back on said I could give my payment over the phone and they’d leave the key in the van and I could pick it up. We live about 10mins down the street and wanted to understand better why told tires were more than what I signed for. When I arrived tge guy said he needed to make a profit, but it’s okay because I’m taking care of my car.You can decide if that was good service or not on register end.As far as the van service was great. oil change was made and the tires were mounted, balanced and aligned very well.Its not honest to quote someone one price and even have them sign a quote but then change your mind after the fact just to make a profit and then you had the nerve to tell me that. Horrible.

If you’re looking for and honest, qualified auto repair shop, look no further!. I took my 2016 Cadillac Escalade to the dealer for just an oil change. The dealer did the oil change but also told me that I needed to replace all brakes, including rotors and pads. They wanted to charge me over $1400 for this. Since the vehicle was relatively new I was suspicious so I called Caples car care. They told me to bring it in and they would do a brake inspection. I agreed, but asked if they did have to replace all the brakes, how much they would charge. Caples price was half of the dealers price. I dropped it off last night they called me today and told me that the brakes are absolutely fine and do not need to be replaced! Even though I would’ve been very happy with their price to replace the brakes, they chose to be honest and not rip me off. Kudos to Caples car care for being an honest business which is often difficult to fine when it comes to auto repair shops. I will never take my car to a dealer again unless it is a warranty service. All my vehicles will now be serviced by Caples car care! Thank you again .

I appreciated the quick service on my bumper to bumper inspection. I liked that the time was taken to respond thoroughly to my questions and not being looked at as if I was just $$$$$. Ladies this is where you want to take your vehicle...i honestly believe they wont mislead you but assist you in making the right decision for any repairs etc. that you may need.

Took a car in for state safety inspection. Got a 3000.00 estimate for repairs. Most of the items on the list were B.S.

Taking a vehicle to a mechanic can be very nerve wracking due to paranoia of being told something needs replaced when it doesnt, and with a transmission problem they definitely could have but didnt. Best experience with an auto repair shop I’ve ever had. They run an HONEST business, which is so hard to come by, especially as a woman walking into a repair shop. They won’t try to “sell you” on work your car doesn’t need. And as I’m looking to buy a new car, they’re going to try and help me sell my old one. No promises they can do it, but it stands out as above and beyond service. I live in Annapolis and will take a Saturday morning to drive my car up to Westminster for something as simple as an oil change. Won’t go anywhere else for as long as I live in Maryland!

A few years ago my wife’s car had a slow leak in one of the tires. They were able to patch the tire and get us on our way for only $20. A day or two later the same tire went flat. We were able to get it back to the shop. It turns out the patch came loose which is very rare by their own admission. They repatched the tire at no charge. Very reasonable, friendly, and honest!

Needed a tire. They ordered it right before they closed and had it by 9 am the next morning! Also was 30 dollars cheaper than mr tire. Best service around

This place is great! Since I just recently moved here, I went to this place cause it had great reviews. The guys here are so nice! Unfortunately the day of my appointment, my kids had a 2 hour delay so I had to take all 3 with me. And the guys up front didnt give me that oh great, kids look. They were so polite, told me to put whatever on the tv for them to watch and joked with them in between calls. And not to be rude but every single time Ive taken my car for service somewhere, because Im a girl they tell me I need all this extra stuff for my car, everytime! I suddenly didnt need all the stuff or they magically found my warranty when my husband got on the phone tho. This place did exactly what I needed, was super polite to my kids and I, didnt leave me waiting forever, had great prices and didnt try to sell me stuff I didnt need (that ones a first for me!). I would def recommend this place and I will definitely be bringing my car back for future services.
