Its... nice. I bought my first set of baby chicks here and theyre thriving at almost 2months old now, the prices seem okay and I love the dog treat section for my pit. Sometimes the employees are kind of rude and other times theyre perfectly friendly. Im not sure whats up with that but it seems like the youngest employees are definitely the nicest. Ill continue going because I love the store itself. Anyways heres a bunch of pics of my chicks that I purchased here. They are so happy and growing so well. I had two leghorns with poopy butt when I first brought them home but we got them all cleaned up and theyre doing great now with no more issues. I love these mother cluckers so much!

Wide selection of pet and feed products, we came here for chicken products and cat treats.We bought a waterer for the chickens that ended up leaking, but when we brought it back they were happy to exchange it for a different one.If youre looking for great customer service and good prices, this is a great feed store to visit.Dont forget to check out their home and garden center across the street, we have found a lot of helpful things there as well.

Good place. Authentic, quality service and products. You cant go wrong. Most of the employees are excellent and very helpful. They have just about everything you need. Oh, and buy baby chicks from here, they do an excellent job and buy from a great hatchery.

I go there and have never had a problem until now. I bought a baby guinea pig from them about a month ago. Well to my shock I looked in on her yesterday and she had babies. I called to let them know they may want to take extra care when checking to see if they are boys or girls so they can be separated appropriately. She told me they had nothing to do with it, it happened at breeders. Ok well maybe have a conversation with the breeder then..

First time there n I was very impressed. Beautiful flowers at a good price. Gift shop inside with unique gifts to buy. A nice selection of bird feeders for outside. I will be back.

We got a guniea pig and we got it out and it started sneezing and breathing heavy and said it was perfectly fine and they hung up on me and claiming we gave it something which we did not

Absolutely love this place. Prices are very competitive to the regular chains. But the best part about this place, family owned! Who doesn’t want to shop and support local businesses? They are the foundation of our community.We buy most of our chicken necessities and the actual chickies themselves here. The biggest problem I have with this store is going during Chick days. It is so hard to resist! And they even bring in some different breeds that you won’t find anywhere else.Wild bird food? Best selection you will find! We only buy our bird food from here.All in all, we love Bowman’s and they have been our lifesavers with chicken injuries and sickness. They’ve always had everything we need.

This is my Local spot for Dog food and treats! Always personable when shopping and the products are always spot on. The store caters to multiple types of animals and why not support local. I also go right across the street and buy several plants, trees, shrubs, pots and soil mixes!!!!! This place will always be my go to spot!!!

Staff members are rude and gave me a hard time about a simple return. ive always had a good experience with my purchases from here but the staff members are not polite and the younger ones are the worst. It’s already bad enough that the condition they keep the animals in are disgusting and very disappointing, just look at other reviews. the bunnies never have enough hay which is 80% of their diet, they need an unlimited amount of hay 24/7 and they also feed them HUGE amounts of pellets which is not healthy. I bought a bunny from them a few months ago just to save her from the awful conditions. I wanted to support a smaller business but i’ll be buying elsewhere from now on.

The staff really cares about helping you. Their prices are competitive and they will special order for you. One of my cats was on a restricted diet and they were happy to order the food for me by the case. If you dont see what you want, just ask and they will help you. They will also load your purchases into your vehicle if you need help. They did this precovid, so their helpfulness is genuine. Shop local!!

It is not good place to buy livestock, because Bowman does not guarantee that bought livestock will survive in next 24 hours after purchase made.As as a result they will not refund or replace died livestock, considering that Bowmans prices are a bit higher for example comparing to Tractor Supply pricing.The staff was pretty rude at the time I called them regarding that problem with livestock.

This is a great local store that has some interesting pet products. I get mini pig food, chicken feed, and wild bird seed here regularly, plus like to browse for gifts for family pets. They are well staffed and the staff are almost always friendly and polite. So much better to deal with than Tractor Supply.

I can honestly say my experience was less than poor with this store. They sold me an expired bag of dog food under the pretext of a “sale” and laughed in my face when I called and asked for a refund. The manager was a complete jerk and the staff members were less than accommodating. Every pet store within a 20 mile radius has a policy of returning expired dog food, but apparently, they needed the money. I realize that COVID-19 has impacted local businesses poorly, but purposely selling expired dog food is heinous. No amount of money is worth putting animals in danger. The animals at the store were in completely atrocious condition. The betta fish have no oxygen or aeration in their laughable mason jar “tanks” and there were many mice and rabbits in poor condition as well. I cannot stress this enough : the customer is always right. Please educate your staff and teach them this, so that no one has to have the experience I did. To not only mistreat and invalidate my experience; but then to laugh in my face was extremely disgusting and my very last straw. I have been in this store so many times, ignoring the rudeness of some of the staff members in order to buy my dog the food he needs. The only reason I ever shopped here was to obtain the food that is not carried in any of my local stores. I’d rather fund big businesses, like Amazon, who at least have an exceptionally laid out return policy and customer satisfaction guarantee. I can’t express how disappointed and dissatisfied I am with the treatment I received today and I sincerely hope no one has to go through this again. I cannot stress this enough, do not shop here.

If they dont value their customers any more than that, and they are so afraid of catching the virus from them (when they come in and spend theyre money there,Then maybe they should close up for awhile until they appreciate who keeps them in business. As for me, Ill order my dog food on line, and pay 10.00 more, at least I wont have to deal with the disrespect.!!!

Certain staff can be judgemental and rude. A member in particular, for some unknown reason, obnoxiously watches over my order during checkout, asking the cashier to double check items to ensure it has been checked out, obviously thinking Im going to steal something! Very rude. I can easily go down the street to Tractor Supply and spend my money there! Youre working at a pet supply store in Carroll County, not a Gucci store in New York. Most of the staff needs some education on customer service and a recheck on their attitudes.

Don’t buy chicks from here! I had seven broilers die in one day. Now three Araucanas. In store prices are high too for basically everything, way cheaper to buy online. Mt Healthy is the hatchery the chicks come from if anyone is interested. I’d avoid buying from them.

Prices here beat the big stores (Petco and Petsmart) for wild bird food hands down. The selection is great and there are plenty of feeders and other non-food products available. Lines of non-bird pet supplies as well.

I really like the choices here as far as plants go. Most if not all of it is locally grown so it is used to our temps and weather. That is very important when trying to keep things alive in this climate. They have great quality plants as well. I havent bought anything as far as pets or livestock is concerned so I cant comment on that. If youve never been go and I bet there is something there you will like.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Theyre so rude and not friendly at all. Every time I have entered this place they never speak or even look in your direction. They dont ask do you need help either. I only come to buy rats for my snake. I went in today asked the lady for a small rat and she looked as if I was bothering her. Never said ok or hello how are you she just brushed past me and got the rat. If I could find another pet store close to my house I wouldnt visit here anymore. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOURE BLACK!

The only real Purina dealer in the area. Staff is always helpful and friendly. The owners run the store on Friday evening to let the sales staff get an early weekend start.

The animals are in poor conditions. The rats are kept in tanks without a hide aways or enrichment. Food wasnt in a bowl and didnt seem like much lab blocks. Few of the mice tanks had a hideaway and in one was a nursing mother who is very skinny. Male or female arent indicated on tanks.Although these are labeled as feeders they still should be respected and be treated like rats and mice should be with the appropriate supplies.We never looked elsewhere in the store. We mentioned this to the clerk and left.

We buy pet food there every month. The staff always I offers to carry it to my car if I would like them to. The young people that work there are well trained.

This has been our go to place for animal feed. Good rewards plan with the dog food and good prices for the cat and chicken feed as well. The pets in the back are always clean and well cared for. In fact we are going today and using a $10 coupon that Bowmans sent the wife for her birthday.
