What everyone else is saying about this place is 100% true. The staff puts on a fake nice act to try to get you to buy more than what you ask for. I asked for 2 pounds, and the associate proceeded to stuff the bag closer to 4 pounds! When I told her I only wanted 2, she took some out and it was still like 3 pounds. I finally settled at 2.5 pounds when I realized she wasnt going to let me buy what I asked for. They are very pushy and aggressive and will have you trying everything in the store, hoping that you will buy it all! The only nice thing I can say is that its like being in Cho Ben Thanh in Saigon where they all do the same thing. Unfortunately, this is America! Do not shop here for the convenience, since there are dozens of other beef jerky places nearby, even one right outside the parking lot.

I suggest alway read the reviews first before going. Went there to buy some beef jerky and told the lady we only want 5 lbs. When we get to the check out counter the lady told us we have 20 lbs. I told her we only want 5 lbs and she keep saying you got 20lbs so you get 2 lbs for free. Just want to avoid argument so we just pay for it and left. Never buy from here again even though their beef jerky is good. But I’m sure there are other business out there are just as good and better service. She didn’t even give us a receipt but I’m sure the receipt doesn’t give you the detail.

They scammed me here. I wanted 3 pounds. Each pound is $27. The bill came out $181!! I asked them why 181 they said it’s 5 pounds with 1/2 pounds free. Even if I wanted 5 pounds it still wouldn’t be $181. These people charge extra thinking we don’t know better. They were pushy and trying to get me to buy what I don’t want. I wouldn’t buy anything here. There’s another franchise location around here.

Anyone that buys beef jerky at vua Kho bo, you have to be careful of this place since they will take advantage you. When you buy, make sure you look at the scales since they give you more then you asked. Neither do they give you a receipt of your price breakdown. If you are Vietnamese. BE CAREFUL. They will try to take advantage of you because they think you trust them due to the fact you speak the same language. I’m writing this because this was a personal experience. That is sad that everyone needs money take care of their families but karma will get you.

We walked into the store asking for 2.5 lbs. However, the lady gave us 5 lbs instead. When I asked her about it, she brushed it off & said we get .5 lb free when 5 lbs is purchased. They talk so fast and didn’t care about what we have to say. They also refused to let us see the .5 lb that’s supposedly free. It was so overwhelming, we just paid and left. I checked the free bag after we left and there were about 2 pieces in there ( def NOT half a lb). Their business practice is unethical and they definitely rip you off by trying to confuse you. There are so many other locations, DO NOT go here.

Based on the wife experience, be careful at this place when checking out. The aggressive sale people here will put extra item in your basket. Its especially confusing when youre an out-of-town customer and buy lots of stuff.
