I have tasted all 4 flavors and they taste great. I followed the full 8 day instructions and took only the survival tab, water and my prescribed medications. For all 8 days I didnt hardly feel hungry at all. I had plenty of energy to set up a camp site, gather fire wood and take some hikes in a wooded area. The only challenge I felt was knowing that I wasnt going to have a meal of actual food but that is a mental challenge, not a physical one.I wanted to really give these survival tabs a test so I next went on a 6 day camping trip and only used half the recommended number of tabs each day. (6 tabs instead of 12) Instead of taking a tab every hour I took a tab every other hour. I only noticed a little hunger starting to show on the 4th day, but I keep to my test. I was able to stay on the 6 tabs a day while still doing all of my camp chores and had plenty of energy.I think every individual should have the 8 day supply of these survival tabs in their bug out bags because used as recommended they will have no problem feeling hungry of or a lack of energy and they can stretch the usage for up to 16 days if they feel the need. I also talked with one individual that went a full 30 days eating nothing but these survival tabs and other than loosing 15 pounds of body fat he had no problems at all. This is why I highly recommend this product to everyone I know.
Bought these as emergency provisions, opened one of them up to try and it tasted great (I bought the butterscotch) Now I eat some when Im too lazy to cook or prepare a meal. Would definitely recommend !
I can not tell you how happy we are to discover this product. My mother has Alzheimers and has stopped eating solid food, the only thing she accepts is milk and we stir in a tablet (which we pulverize and mix with a bit of warm water before stirring into milk). Unfortunately my mother will not accept Ensure or Boost or anything like that but the Survival tablet stirred into the milk works fantastic, also you can compress one tablet with 240 calories into less liquid even just 2 - 3 oz, which is more likely to be finished rather than an 8 oz of Ensure which has 220 calories.
Ive just started training again after recovering from an injury so Im on a higher protein-to-carb ratio for 6 weeks. Ive had a butterscotch tablet at 2,3, and 4 in the afternoon 3 days this week and they kept my mind off snacking, (but I snack for flavor, not because I dont feel full). They have the consistency of butter mints to me. Somewhat. A little harder. Or really, really dense Astronaut Ice Cream. At the end of those days when I looked at my nutrients, I still had carb room for bread and popcorn to hit my fiber goal without going over on calories. Excellent! You couldnt and SHOULDNT use these as a permanent meal substitute or a crash diet plan. Theyre vitamins with some carbs, protein and fat to keep you from becoming dangerously malnourished in a pinch (and keep you from going too crazy). They have no potassium for your heart and a days supply has only 30g carbs, which is 100 less than an adult needs to keep from burning muscle to fuel your brain. (An adult brain needs about 130g worth of carbs daily to turn into fresh glucose quickly enough to function, otherwise your body will start digesting itself to use amino acids for gluoconeogenesis and you wont be able to think straight while youre waiting.) Theyre emergency supplements, not Soylent-in-a-tablet.I wasnt planning on eating them every day this way, but its nice to know theyre there to keep my stats somewhat balanced if I go someplace where cake is being served. Ill probably stick a pack in my husbands kayaking gear since theyre light, take up little space, and arent prone to damage. My mother also wants to try some for snacking reasons, so Ill need to get more for stocking stuffers. The main advantage to getting these for a DIY emergency kit is you can put a tub in your basement and forget about it for forty years. Youre going to want to add something like meal bars or a trail mix featuring dried apricots or banana chips and rotate them out before they expire if you want a full range of nutrients. The nice thing is theyll give you something to look forward to every hour when youre under emergency stress, but if thats not an issue for you, you could easily use a bottle of multivitamins. instead.
The advertising of this company is completely misleading by stating that one bottle will provide enough nutrition for a person for 15 days. BUT they only put in the fineprint that each tablet has 20 calories only!!! So when you buy the 180 pc bottle and eat 12 of them every day, you only get 240 calories per day!!! That is not enough for an adult to survive long term!!!!! Here are the calorie requirements per Health departments: Recommended daily calorie intakes vary across the world. According to the National Health Service (NHS), UK, the average male adult needs approximately 2,500 calories per day to keep his weight constant, while the average adult female needs 2,000. US authorities recommend 2,700 calories per day for men and 2,200 for women. ----- if you believe their advertising and think that one bottle will keep you healthy and alive for 15 days on 240 calories per day only, you are taking a serious health risk!!!! Please do the math yourself and research how many calories you really need before you buy this product!!!
