The greatest model train store of all time! For a collector who loves both pre-war, postwar and newer modern trains, this is a dream land. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable and their prices are also amazing. We traveled from a pretty far distance to come here and if we lived closer this would be dangerous.

Friendly service. Great inventory, mostly Lionel: cars, tracks, village buildings and accesories, engines, people and more. They carry Thomas and Friends toy trains too.

Great train store in HB/Westminster. The employee was super helpful and we got a couple of kids trains with his help.

Dan the sales/repair man definitely got me with the Lionel Trains. All my life I have been HO scale but now I got bite by the Lionel bug! Great store! I am definitely going back to patronize theyre store.

Absolutely the best model train store in the area. Honest, fair and pleasant. They were the high bidder in the whole United States on a bunch of trains I sold.

My father has always had the best experience at this train shop. He brings his trains in for repair. He has never had any complaints.

I shopped here for years prior to moving to Colorado. This shop got me going in O scale and always has discounted prices and great finds! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will be visiting CA next week And hope to bring my son by to find a new o scale addition.

What a great place! My grandson loves Thomas and they had a great selection. He really loved watching the electric trains run.

I went here to sell some train sets that had been found after someone passed away.I have to say I was impressed with how nice everyone was at the store.While waiting to complete my transaction I had some time to browse their collection and I was amazed at the range of train related items that they had.Everything from the absolute beginner sets to very high end collectors pieces.If you need to buy or sell anything train related I would definitely recommend Mile Post 38!

The folks here are always helpful. They know so much about analog and DCC engines. They are patient with newbie questions. Have a great selection of HO, and also N scale. Great selection of loco internal parts. Terry has been very helpful. To keep this local neighborhood model train store in business, its important to actually buy things from them.

Went there just look around and left with 2 sets, the young man that helped me was so knowledgeable, got a great deal, I will be back for more.

The place is a very nice and well kept area. Although I have a few gripes that being the stock of certain items and the overall underwhelming selection of Thomas Wooden Railway in the picture it looks like heaven but in store it’s decent. However this is the only place to my knowledge that carries the brand I will be paying more visits to this place in the future!

Will never go back. They never work with you, have prices way higher than train crossings in Costa Mesa and they tried to RIP me off once. Terrible terrible ownership. (EDIT based on their reply is below...) I went in with my son. Put on the table upward of $500 worth of track, cars and asked what kind of deal would they work on a locomotive. They said the price on the tag. I said its cash right now! Again the refused to work with me... I went to the Train Crossing in Costa Mesa, (John Owner at train crossing) they found what i wanted and i saved $60 or so dollars and ended up buying $5000 plus worth of tracks and locomotives from John... These clowns at Milepost are not worthy of my business and i would caution against giving them yours...

Nice store, sad they got rid of kids play area. Staff is hit or miss depending on who you get. They could be a bit more lively and inviting.

You can buy both new and used larger scale trains here. A real LGB engine for $125, even used, is a great buy to me. Picked up some small G scale track sections which can be hard to come by.

Took my 5 year old here today to purchase a used O gauge steam engine and some miscellaneous upgrades to our modest layout. After shopping for 20 minutes I got talking to another customer and turned my back to my son who was playing with a bargain bin (likely not functioning) steam engine on a 36 section of track that we were going to purchase. After a minute of conversation I heard my son start crying and turned to see that an employee had taken the train out of his hands and was putting it back and then he returned to take the track as well. I intervened and asked the man what he 2as doing and he said that the trains are not allowed to be played with. That is understandable. What is not understandable is why he would not have looked around in an attempt to locate a parent and then inform the parent of the store policy and let the parent enforce it with the child. There were only 4 customers in the store at the time so it would have taken all of 4 seconds.I left the items I had planned to purchase and they have now lost a customer for life.
